As predicted...

...my carer doesn't want to cook today after all, but at least he's been honest with me about why he doesn't feel able to cook for the vast majority of the week.

Today is gonna be another make-do meal of "biscuits and sweets and stuff" then we're gonna come up with a menu for next week and I'll print it out and pin it up somewhere in the kitchen so that it's physically there to look at and uneditable.  We're also gonna stock up on easy meals that go straight from the freezer, onto a baking tray and bunged into the oven for half an hour, so no more spag bols or pasta 'n' sauce or anything like that, just ready meals that are already prepared and can just be taken out of the oven, slid onto a plate and eaten.

He wants to use the slow cooker more too because he can just set and forget for four hours.

Basically he can't be arsed and that's my fault.

I wanna do what I can to help and support him... but I also wanna eat so that I don't lose more weight!

Very nearly...

...80 hours of care for my carer, so it's looking very likely that this'll pretty easily be an 85 hour week of care for my carer.  OTOH my carer has only cared for me for 1 hour and 28 minutes so far this week, so there's no way that he can achieve the 35 hour minimum now, even if he did nothing but care for me between now and midnight tonight, 'cos there are only 14 hours left of the week.

16-1 to me

Just made a hot drink and breakfast for my carer, so the score is now 16-1 to me.

Time to do my laps now.

Mornin' all

I've just taken my first supplements for 3 days and I could feel my body going "what the... oooh!"  Less than 5 minutes later and my body is already making use of the goodness that the pills provide and I'm feeling considerably better than I have for the last couple of days without them.

I'm pondering on getting a lip moisturising stick thing that I can use when I'm out of the house and I haven't got the tin of Vaseline™ with me... I think I need to drink more water too, 'cos my lips were fine when I was drinking 3-4 litres of water a day!

Right now we're still having the pasta 'n' sauce 'n' grated cheese for lunch but I'm predicting my carer will find a reason not to do it.

I kept forgetting to update the meal scores too - we're at 15-1 as of right now 'cos I've had one take-away and my carer has had two this week.  He's cooked one meal and I've made 15 of his.

I can really feel my body soaking up all the supplements I've given it this morning... it's not crying out for vitamins and minerals any more and is going all guns blazing into putting the goodness to work.

OK, I've added the lip balm and some bottles of pop to Tuesday's order, so the totals now break down like this:

My stuff:  £6.76
Steve's stuff:  £27.88
Joint stuff:  £13.44

So the totals are much more evenly spread now - Steve's still got over half of the shop just for him, but at least I've got a few things and there are considerably more joint things than usual too, so I'm happier with that.

When my carer wakes up for longer than 5 seconds, I'll go and make his breakfast for him, to bring that score up to 16-1.  If my carer cooks for lunch it'll be 16-2 and I'm assuming that I'll be making his tea for him too, so it'll be 17-2 to me by the time I head to bed... so much for "I make all her meals and drinks for her" eh?

I'm gonna go and do my last set of exercises of the week after I've made my carer's breakfast so that I can get 3 blobs in my FitBit app instead of the 2 I'd get if I did them now.

We've gotta put the rubbish and recycling out today too, which I'm predicting will be totally down to me yet again.

This blog post is already waaay to long, so I'm gonna shut up and publish this now.

I've taken my pills now, sooo...

...it's time to start shutting down for the night now.

I'll be back, as always, tomorrow and I'll be able to take my full amount of pills which my body is already desperate for, after missing 2 days 'cos of the product test.

My eyelids are already drooping, so I'm gonna say nite nite two ewe orl now and I'll see you all again tomorrow.

We've now got...

...a few things on Tuesday's order that are quick and easy for me to do for us on the 4-5 days my carer doesn't want to cook - it's just waffles and lattices and pizza baguettes and things like that, but I can just get 'em out of the freezer, pop them on a baking tray and bung 'em in the oven for 20 minutes then dish up and it'd mean that I'd get *something* in my belly each day instead of just water.

The current totals break down like this:

My stuff:  £1.00
Steve's stuff:  £24.88
Joint stuff:  £11.44

which is much better.  Steve's stuff is still the majority of the shop, but at least the joint stuff is in double figures too right now.

He wants to do a frozen shop at Iceland, so I've said that if we can get our big freezer considerably emptier before the end of February, then we can do a huge frozen shop at the beginning of March.  I'm more than happy to do that and he's agreed the timeline, but I'm predicting right now that it just ain't gonna realistically happen based on the last few months.  I'm happy to get things that can be quickly done by me (like waffles and hash browns and stuff like that), but if we just get more and more frozen stuff that just won't be used then we won't have anywhere to store it which will piss me off 'cos it'll be yet more wasted money that I really can't afford to lose.

Today's (12th February 2022) lunch photo

After making my hubby's lunch (a MugShot) I wasn't stable enough on my legs to make anything for myself, so today's lunch is half a packet of biscuits again.  Hopefully we'll have something more substantial tomorrow!

Just made...

...my carer's lunch for him and found 2 biscuits that I can have for my lunch, so it'll be a 348 calorie day today after all.

Starting on Monday...

...other than water and pop so that I can stay hydrated, the only things I will be eating and drinking, will be things that my carer makes for me.  He tells everyone that asks that he "makes all her meals and drinks for her" so I will have a full belly next week and no thirst at all.  In reality I'll have a maximum of 3 meals and no drinks at all.

Time to go and get myself a bottle of pop for lunch today 'cos my carer has "got sausage rolls and stuff to have for lunch" so I'll be living on 220 calories today 'cos I had a smoothie for breakfast and my carer won't be cooking by the looks of things.  He'll be the only one eating tea again 'cos "I'm gonna get myself a Chinese for tea"

Aksherley, I'll just be having water today 'cos, as I think I predicted this morning, I've had to take my pop off so that I could add a washing up brush and pasta pots for Steve, which costs £6 so took the price over budget, so Tuesday's groceries now break down like this:

My stuff:  £0.00
Steve's stuff:  £31.88
Joint stuff:  £8.70

So, just like every week, as long as Steve gets stuff for him, it doesn't matter that I have nothing at all.

Mornin' all

So far this morning I've:

  • woken up late (so I must have needed the sleep after yesterday's adventures)
  • taken just a single morning pill 'cos of yesterday's product test
  • cared for my carer for over 2 hours
  • edited the groceries for Tuesday 'cos there is still so much juice left in the fridge, so let's do the breakdown totals before I forget, shall we?

My stuff:  £5.52
Steve's stuff:  £26.88
Joint stuff:  £8.70

So yet again, Steve's stuff costs well over half the grocery spend and I reckon a lot of it will get wasted again.  I'm predicting now, at 9.09am on Saturday 12th February 2022, that the majority of Steve's stuff will be wasted yet again and that he'll want exactly the same things that go to waste on the next week's order too.

I'm going to have a grape smoothie for breakfast, for potentially my only meal of the day 'cos Steve's decided to have "a sneaky Chinese today" so that's one meal I'll be going without, so I'd better get a few calories into me this morning, just in case I don't have any lunch.
