Sunday 20th January 2019

Just taken my supplements.  They all went down OK for a change, so I'm gonna take the pup out then get straight on with me writing again.
***

Brushed my teeth, next step really is taking the pup out for her morning stroll... 'onest!
***

The pup really isn't in my good books now.  The first 200% was the same as normal:  the pup paused by the front door, I said "not yet pup" and she carried on walking.

Same with 250%.

At 300% she refused to move which is usually her saying "I'm desperate for a poo" so I let her into the house, Steve took her lead off and I opened the back door for her.  She went to the kitchen doorway, looked at me and backed up.

I closed the back door and Steve re-attached her lead to her harness.  Went out for the last 100% and she still didn't poo so we came home and I fed her.

Naughty puppy.  😒

Gonna put Take That on and start writing now.  Assuming I manage 4 chapters today, I'll be half way through the manuscript after 5 days (3 full days and 2 half days) and right on track for finishing on Friday.
***

That's the rubbish and recycling sorted and out for another week, so I can write for the rest of today and I don't need to do anything else before walking the pup and bringing the rubbish bag and recycling box in tomorrow now.
***

9.48am and I'm about to start writing now lol  See how long it takes me to write my chapters today lol
***

Had a bit of a panic with the pup just now.  She slid almost entirely off her perch on Steve's chair arm and very nearly slid down the side!

Thankfully Steve was awake and caught her before she slipped too far, but it's scared all three of us and the pup hasn't got back onto the arm yet.

Maybe she will be too scared to get up there again and will just squish into the side of the seat up against Steve so that she doesn't fall again.

Lucky puppy dog!
***

12.17pm and the first chapter of the day is finished at last.  Took 2½ hours, but that's OK, 'cos I stopped for two bathroom visits and taking the pup out for a wee and poo during that time too.

Hopefully the second chapter of the day will be written in 2 hours.  Just gotta get back into the writing headspace again.

12.21pm and I'm about to start writing again.
***

1.28pm and the second chapter of the day has been written.  I'm back in the writing headspace again now, so hopefully it'll only take an hour or so to write the other 2 chapters that I want to get done today.
***

3.07pm and the third chapter of the day has been finished so I'm definitely gonna be able to write four, possibly even another five today!  Total awesomesauce!
***

5.11pm and the fourth chapter of the day is finito.  Gonna write at least one more before I head to bed though.
***

That's my prescription re-ordered... gonna take it now while I remember too!
***

Prescription taken and we've got to treat the pup for fleas today too!
***

That's the flea's and ticks gone for another month.  Apparently there's one more pipette left that's due next month then we need to get a new box.

Expensive but so worth it, I reckon.
***

Got the reminder set up for next month both for treating the pup and also ordering more of the treatment.

Only going to write one more chapter tonight, but that's OK 'cos I've done today's four so I'll still be finishing on Friday now.
***

That's the fifth chapter written and it's only 7.30pm so I'm gonna write the sixth one after all!

😃
***

I've done it!!!  6 chapters in about 10 hours, including stopping for lunch and taking the pup outside a couple of times so if I can write an extra 2 chapters on top of the daily 4 chapters, I'll write my final word of the manuscript on Thursday evening instead of Friday evening, meaning I'll be finished in a tiny 9 days instead of 31 which is incredible stuff for me!
***

Publishing this then shutting down and heading to bed feeling really good about myself for a change.

Nite nite orl!
***

Saturday 19th January 2019

17 hours for the virus scan this time!!  That's totally incrediblely speedy considering I didn't start it until almost mid-day yesterday and it was finished by 4am today!!

Gonna do the back-up now, then take the puppy out for our morning stroll then brush my teeth and take my supplements.

Do I turn my laptop off while I'm out with the pup or leave it on though?
***

My documents folder takes at least an hour to back up every week, so as soon as it's backed up this morning I'm gonna archive a lot of the stuff in the folder so that it hopefully won't take as long to back up next week.

I'll still keep the stuff that I regularly use in the same folder they're in atm, but the stuff I haven't even looked at since 2016 really doesn't need to be backed up each week so it'll get archived and I'll do similar housekeeping about once a year to keep my documents folder only for the regularly used documents.

I'll still have all the information just in case I need it at any point in future, but there's no point keeping it in there if it's so rarely used, needed or even looked at!
***

Worked out why it takes so long to back everything up - Visual Studio is installed into the documents bit instead of the programme files bit and just the programme is 2GB so it's no wonder that the folder was taking so long!

I'm gonna take the pup for her walk, brush me teeth, take the pup for her walk, spend all day writing then ask Steve to talk me through how to do it this evening now that I know what the problem was!
***

That's the puppy walked and fed.  She did a big smelly poo which I dutifully cleared up then we came home.

I realised last night that I hadn't included the extra percents for a few days but it's 6x300% now which is 1800% in the bank, so as long as we do at least 300% tomorrow, we'll have over 2000% in the bank again, which is awesome!

WTG pup!

Gonna go and brush me teeth then take me supplements - aim today is another 5 chapters if at all possible.
***

That's me teeth brushed, so it's time for me supplements then writing all day.
***

Supplements taken.  The Calcium crumbs were a slight PITA and the Multi took two mouthfuls of squash to get down, but other that that, it was fine and dandy.  Time to start writing now!

***

Two chapters written in almost 3 hours!  Half way to getting my J2O but I'm hoping to still be able to do the fifth chapter that I was doubting even an hour ago!
***

Third one out of the way.  Not bad going for an afternoon's work!
***

Fourth one of the day done and dusted.

We're having Chinese for tea so I'm gonna try and write a bit more until it's delivered then I'll scoff the chips as I write the fifth chapter of the day.

Apparently chapter 15 (the one I've just finished writing) is just over a third of the way through, which ain't bad going for 3 days (I'm considering today to be another half day 'cos I didn't get started until lunchtime today) so 6 days from today is Friday, so as long as I finish chapter 16 before I head to bed, I'm still on track for finishing on Friday early evening which ain't bad going for 10 days (including 2 half days) at 40,000 words.  Means I'll be able to have a long, hot, bubble bath in total celebration of completing two novels (90,000 words total) in 3 months!

Good going by anyone's standards!
***

That's today's 5 chapters written, so I'm back on track for writing 4 chapters a day for the next 6 days which will hopefully mean that I'll be finished by early evening on Friday... wish me luck that I get it done!
***

Goin' to bed now... nite nite orl!
***

Friday, 18 January 2019

Friday 18th January 2019

The pup went for a huuuuge wee and poo as soon as I came downstairs this morning so we did 400% without stopping on our walk this morning.

Brushed me teeth as soon as we came home and I'm about to take my supplements now, brb...
***

They all went down OKish today, even the multi only took a couple of mouthfuls today and it didn't get stuck like it did yesterday  🎉🎉

I can make a start on my writing now... hoping for another 4 chapters by bed time so that I can have another J2O.
***

First chapter of the day done and dusted.  Time for lunch now then I'll get back on with the writing again.
***

Only just remembered about the virus scan... oops!  It'll be tomorrow afternoon at the very earliest that it'll be finished this week!
***

Steve's back now, yaaay!
***

Second chapter of the day sorted.  In theory I've got 7 hours to write the last 2 chapters of the day.
***

Third chapter written and by the time I've finished the fourth chapter of the day today, I'll already be a quarter of the way through the entire manuscript in 2.5 days, which means I'll be half way through after 6 days and finished after only 12 days!

Written 9,000 words in less than 3 days which is so totally awesome right now.  It'll be at least 10,000 words by bed time and I'll be having my second J2O in 3 days 'cos chapter 10 is my fourth chapter of the day and it's only just gone 4pm, which means it took just under 2 hours to write chapter 9, so I'll be finished writing the fourth chapter by about 6pm and hopefully squeeze a fifth chapter out today too, instead of just sitting around waiting for my prescription to kick in.  Not going to pressure myself to write any more than chapter 10 by bedtime though.  If I squeeze in the fifth chapter then I'm only one chapter away from my target of writing four chapters a day (even though I only wrote two chapters on that first day - confused yet?  lol).
***

All four chapters written today and Steve's just about to make me a mug of tea "now rather than later" so I'm gonna pop my prescription, write the fifth chapter then celebrate that with the J2O just before I go to bed.

If I write 5 chapters tomorrow as well, it'll be 16,000 words in only 4 days which is pretty impressive, even if I do say so myself!  lol
***

Just put the final full stop into the fifth chapter of the day so I'm rewarding myself with a J2O and large bag of tortilla chips on top of the cheese and onion rolls I had for lunch.

Hoping for another 5 chapters tomorrow then I can kinda relax for the following 6 days knowing that I've written my JanNo novel in under 2 weeks.  As long as I don't finish too late on Friday we'll have a celebratory chippy chips for tea when I put the final full stop in the whole thing.

Mind you, I'll be mid virus scan on Friday, so I'll indulge in 2 cans of J2O and have chippy chips on Saturday instead.

Gonna indulge in me tea now while I check my email for the first time today then head to bed as soon as my prescription starts kicking in.
***

Off to bed now... nite nite orl!  See you again in the morning!
***

Thursday, 17 January 2019

Thursday 17th January 2019

Took the pup for her morning walk, another 400%, and she poo'd twice.

There weren't any cars to lean against so I almost fell over 3 times and I'm shaking like a leaf now.

Gonna have to be sure to bring her home before 9am from now on so that the pup will hopefully poo in the back yard instead of in the street 'cos I use the long-handled pooper scooper out there so I'm less likely to fall flat on my face.
***

Steve's decided on toasted cheese sarnies for lunch instead of pasta.  That's OK with me 'cos it's not a take away, it's quick and easy to make and means that I don't have to put my laptop on the floor so it's a good decision all around!
***

Just realised why I haven't got any energy or motivation - I haven't taken me supplements yet!  That's why!  So I'll take them now and then brush me teeth and hopefully I'll feel up to getting started on my writing after that 'cos the supplements will start to kick in by then.
***

That's the supplements taken.  The Iron and B12 were amazingly easy to swallow, but the Calcium crumbs went everywhere and the Multi got stuck half way down which is the exact reason I can't take bigger pills - I wash the smaller ones down when they get stuck but capsules and bigger pills aren't so easy to unstick and the only way I can get them unstuck is to eventually throw them up because I'm choking or I've had to drink so much that I'm bloated.

Why does nobody believe me about that though?
***

Just remembered to brush my teeth too... need to add mouthwash to the shopping before I forget that too then I really can settle down to writing for the next hour.
***

That's the first chapter of the day written and my toasted cheese sarnies in the machine, so I'm gonna wait until Steve brings them in then carry on writing again.

I can soooo do this!
***

OK, so it's 1.13pm and I'm about to start writing again.  Just wanna see roughly how long it takes to write a chapter is all.
***

2.44pm so about an hour and a half per chapter.  Not bad considering that there was a bathroom break included too!

Not bad going for half a day's work... half way to getting my first J2O of the month too.
***

That's the third chapter done and dusted and it's not even 5pm yet, so I've got 5 hours to write the fourth chapter before I'm allowed my J2O... in theory I should be able to write 5 chapters today before bed time... should I risk it while I'm in the writing mood and risk having a late night though?
***

Gonna take my prescription now, just while I think of it, then I can just keep writing until the end of this chapter then have my J2O and head to bed for hopefully an early night... brb.
***

That's my prescription swallowed - a lot easier than the Multi was this morning, thankfully!

Steve's going to make me a mug of drinking chocolate in a sec too, so I'll be able to savour that whilst I write my fourth chapter of the day then celebrate with a J2O and head to bed after checking my email and stuff.

Really proud of how much I've written today!
***

YES!!!

Just finished my fouth chapter of the day and it's not even 7pm yet!

That's tomorrow's and the rest of the JanNo challenge sorted - I've done it once so I can do it again.

So unbelieveably proud of myself right now... can you tell?  lol
***

Just started yawning, so I'm off to bed now for an early night in celebration.

Nite nite orl!
***

Wednesday, 16 January 2019

Wednesday 16th January 2019

Felt incredibly proud of myself last night!

Managed to do 1262 steps and 400% yesterday!  How awesome is that?!

We did another 400% this morning, so there's 900% in the walkies bank now.  As long as we keep doing 400% every morning there will be another huge 21 days worth of walks extra in the bank again.

The pup has wanted to keep walking beyond the 400% each day so far, but I'm not willing to risk it until my body has recovered, so it's only 400% for at least this week then I'll take it as it comes next week.  I'm not going to be stupid and do a million percent every day just 'cos the pup wants to... 500% tops every other day next week, if that.
***

In the 16 days from the start of 2019 I've achieved so much.

  • I've continued to walk the pup every morning and I've been recording the number of steps I've been doing and the percentage that I walk her (400% is about 100 metres and we've been doing at least 400% every day so far).
  • I've walked at least 500 steps a day, which I know doesn't sound like a lot, but it is for me because my legs aren't able to do too much walking.
  • I've brushed my teeth every day for the last 9 days and got into the habit of doing it now, breaking the routine I've had since I was 19 years old.
  • I've been doing well without the AD for the last year.
  • I've been having at least one home cooked meal a week and choosing healthier versions of take aways (lasagne instead of burger and chips kinda thing).
  • I'm using alternatives instead of prescriptions (coconut and ginger instead of the AD and an anti-emetic).
  • I'm learning that a single bad experience doesn't have to mean a ruined day
  • I'm not spending just because I've got money or a voucher or whatever.  Instead of going "I've got a voucher for £10, what can I spend it on?" I just add it to my account so that I can spend it on something later on in the month or year.
  • I'm also saving more often too, so that instead of spending the £25 left over at the end of the month, it goes into my savings account instead.

Basically, small steps in the right direction and I'm becoming a better person because of it.

2019 is going to be my year!
***

Supplements taken.  The Iron and B12 were a nightmare to get down but they are all swallowed now so I can carry on with the rest of my day.
***

Thanks to SCBWI and D I'm writing again!  Just need to do a minimum of 4,000 words a day and I'll still be able to complete JanNo!  Today is going to be the slowest day 'cos the first few chapters always are, but I've got 2 weeks to write 40,000 words in and it'll be finished, despite not starting (again) until today lol
***

Just added a multipack of J2O's to the shopping so as long as I do 4 chapters a day, I'm allowed a can to celebrate and it'll be done in 8 days too... wish me luck please?
***

And another dairy-free spread too, so that I can have a few slices of buttered toast occasionally.
***

Just finished the first chapter and I'm starting to get into it now, so I'm gonna take my prescription and hopefully write at least one more chapter before I head to bed.
***

Just taken my prescription and I'll put the repeat request in on Sunday when I take the last one of the current strip which will give the doc and pharmacy 2 weeks to get it to me again which is usually plenty of time but I very much prefer to be safe than sorry - I've learnt from past mistakes with that so order when I've got 14 days left now, rather than the 7 that they say they need.

Gonna write one more chapter before I allow myself to go online before bed.  The hardest chapter is out of the way now though, so hopefully it'll be plain sailing between now and the end of January.
***

That's 2 chapters written so I'm not allowed a J2O tonight, but it's gonna be pretty good from now on and assuming I write 4 chapters a day I'll be finished in under 10 days time, which ain't bad going considering I didn't start writing until this afternoon!
***

Going to bed now - another well deserved earlyish night.

Nite nite orl!

Tuesday 15th January 2019

Grrrrrrr!

Just got back from walking the pup another 400% (so there's 600% in the bank) and she was a good girl for ¾ of it... we were both enjoying it until she sniffed a smell that intrigued her under a car at 300%.

She was still a reasonable girl most of the time then.

We got to 350% and she tried to get under the car, was barking and yapping and refused to behave.

By the time we got to 400%, the cat sauntered out from under the car and Mitzi tried to shoot off after it and almost pulled me over.  Once wasn't enough though, she continually did it and I had to cling on to every window and door so that she didn't pull me over.

When we got in she acted all pure and sweet and innocent but her misbehaviour has put me in an awful mood now, so I'm expecting everything to go wrong with the rest of the day.  And no, that's not just me being negative, it's what always happens.
***

Still waiting for my carer to make 2 bottles of squash for me so that I can take my supplements.  All it is this time is adding the squash to the mineral water and that's it but he said "maybe later"... see what I meant up there 👆👆 about today now being a bad day?  It started less than an hour after bringing the pup home.
***

Just done it myself and I'm now shaking, weak, wobbly and in so much pain.  👎😣  Thanks a lot Steve!  😞
***

That's next week's shopping started... £47 instead of the £56 it was this week, just by taking off the toilet rolls and a couple of other things, then adding another bottle of squash which is only £1 for 1.5 litres!
***

The supplements went down nice and easily again, thankfully!  👍👍😹😄

The Calcium crumbs went everywhere, so took 3 mouthfuls of squash to get them down, but the other 3 (Iron, B12 and Multi) went down with a single mouthful each!

Gonna get on with the survey's now.
***

Just poured the drain unblocker down the drain that's been waiting for Steve (my carer) to do for at least 2 if not 3 weeks.  That's pretty average for Steve - the more he has to do, the longer it takes!  The squash took less than 5 minutes to do and Steve promised to do it at the weekend, the drain unblocker took a couple of minutes and that's taken a couple of weeks, I ask for home-cooked food instead of take-aways and I'm lucky to get one meal a fortnight.  He's being paid to be my carer for 30 hours a week but in reality I'm lucky if I get 30 minutes!!  He's being paid to care for me for 4 hours a day, every day, but I rarely get an hour (that's when he rarely makes jacket potato's for us) out of him and constant complaining.  He wants credit for something he rarely does!

I would understand it if I was asking him to wash and dress me and take me out and about and things like that, but it's just small things that he usually refuses to do or complains about it if it ever happens!
***

1.56pm and I've just asked for a mug of tea... bet I won't get it for several hours, if at all today!  I'd love to be able to make it myself, but I'm not tall enough to even reach the kettle, let alone safely use it!!
***

Going to attempt to write a bit more this afternoon... wish me luck!
***

4.30pm and I've got my cuppa now... only took 2.5 hours!  That's speedy in comparison to the norm!
***

I was wrong this morning when I said there wasn't enough squash to take all 5 pills with just the last little bit.  I've just taken the 5th pill (the AP) and there's still a mouthful left.  I'm glad I did the squash though, I'd much rather have too much squash (like now) than not enough and end up throwing up the pills because there isn't enough left to wash difficult pills down.

The 4 litres will hopefully last for the rest of the week though, with any luck.
***

1139 steps already today and it's only 5.35pm!  I'd love it if I managed 1250 steps by the time I go to bed, but considering we did 400% this morning that's awesome walking around the house by me!

Feeling well impressed with myself right now!  😃
***

Goin' to bed now for a very early night... bet I still won't fall asleep until my usual time though!  lol

Nite nite orl!
***

Monday, 14 January 2019

Monday 14th January 2019

Took the pup for her walk this morning.  Another 400% (so 300% already in the bank).  She wanted to do more, but after the Snickers last week, my body needs time to slowly recover again.

Uploaded the spreadsheet for most of last week and I've just taken me supplements so I'm all set for the day now.  Would you prefer me to create a separate page just for the spreadsheets instead of linking to every single one on the bottom of an existing page though?  Either way is fine and dandy, I just want to make it easier for my visitors is all.

Slurping into my first coffee of the day now then I can get on with doing the surveys.  Need to remember to go to the forum at some point too, just to see if there are any birthdays to be announced or posts needing to be replied to.  Think I'll do that first, so that I don't forget.
***

That's the forum sorted, so next up is cracking on with the surveys throughout the rest of the day now.
***

First survey of the day is now done and dusted.
***

Second survey sorted.
***

Chips and beans for me tea so I'm shutting down, possibly for the night, but if not there will be a part 2 but I'm gonna say nite nite orl now just in case.
***

Sunday, 13 January 2019

Sunday 13th January 2019

400% and no poo today, means we've done a huge 2500% extra this week.

She didn't poo, but she did eat something crunchy so I hope it wasn't a snail or glass or anything like that!  We'll be keeping a close eye on her today, just to be sure though.  She hid her tail temporarily when I shouted at her to drop whatever was in her mouth but she swallowed it instead, naughty pup!

She's fed and watered now though, so hopefully she'll be OK.
***

That's me supplements taken for the day so I can just relax now, after clearing up the pup's poo and taking the rubbish and recycling out ready for tomorrow's collection.
***

Just a mini argument with getting the rubbish and recycling out today.  That's normal for us though.

Apparently "I've left a conundrum for the bin men in the morning" says Steve.  "I've put some rubbish in the Burger King bag so we'll see if they take it!"

I very much doubt they will but it's not my fault if they don't.
***

I'll hopefully be able to email the spreadsheet to myself tonight, ready for putting it on my site tomorrow.

Apparently I can't stop people from editing it, even if it's in read only mode, so I'll take a screenshot of it each week instead of uploading it.  Bit of a PITA, but ho hum.  What's the point of read only mode if someone can still download and edit it FFS?!
***

Just emptied the bathroom bin into a bag, binned it, bagged up the Burger King bag and that'll have to be it.  Gonna take me prescription and hopefully have an early night tonight.
***

Taken me prescription so I'll be doing surveys between now and bed time.
***

First survey of the day completed.
***

Having a mug of soup for me tea... I'm just grateful that it's not yet another take away!
***

Goin' to bed for a really early night so nite nite orl!  See you in the morning!
***

Saturday, 12 January 2019

12th January 2019 - part 2

Had a curry for tea... my first Bhuna and it was a lot milder than I was thinking and a lot moister than the Rogan Josh was.  Gonna try the Rogan Josh with Pilau rice next time instead of my normal boiled rice.

The back-up finished first time with no frustration or anger or shouting from me or anything!

Taken me prescription too - that went down first time too, so overall it's been really positive since I posted my last blog post!
***

The phone has got 21% left to go and I'm wiped out so I'm gonna give it until 9pm then head to bed.
***

Right.  I know there's still 8 minutes to go, but I'm struggling to keep my eyes open, so I'm off to bed now.

Nite nite orl!
***

Saturday 12th January 2019

Virus scan finished in 20 hours this time - finished up at 4am and I'm still free of viruses and malware, thankfully.
***

Gonna take the pup for her morning stroll now... 400% will have to be it today and tomorrow 'cos my legs are still weak and feeble after yesterday's Snickers!
***

That's the pup walked and me wiped out.  I could only do 400% even though the pup wanted to go further... it just wouldn't have been safe unfortunately.

Sorry pup!

Add today's 300% to this week's 1900% means we've done 2200% in 6 days and still on track for hitting the 2500% tomorrow.

Aiming for 400% a day again next week with no Snickers allowed until I've recovered again.

Thankfully the pup poo'd right next to a car so that I could lean against it while I picked up the poo. 300% of the walk before she poo'd today.

I'm gonna have to do very little again today 'cos I'm in so much pain, so weak and exhausted.
***

Pretty bad morning for taking the supplements - the Calcium took 3 mouthfuls of squash and the other 3 took 4 mouthfuls of squash each.  Not good.  It's done and dusted now though, so I can carry on with Facebook and surveys and stuff now.
***

All three of my credit agreements are in the green and two of them are marked as settled (whatever that means) and the third one is the mortgage so I've just gotta be patient and wait for my credit score to gradually increase again.  I'm never, ever, getting credit again.  Ever.  The mortgage is the only exception to that 'cos we love our 'ikkle 'ouse and we got the credit for that back in 1998 so hopefully that won't take too much longer to pay off.  Other than the mortgage though, if I can't afford it then it just wasn't meant to be.
***

Spent the last couple of hours working on updating my homepage and was having trouble with the navigation.

Thankfully my resident geek (the hubby, Steve) knew exactly how to fix it and less than 5 minutes later it was all behaving itself!

If you're after a webpage or software and you're willing to pay for it, just email the hubby with details of what you want and he'll send you a very reasonable price for it, depending on how long it takes and how complicated you want it to be.  A simple couple of pages obviously costs less than a site with 25 pages with all kinds of whizz-banging javascript and php and stuff on it but you won't find a better value web developer in the country.  He even includes a year's support of your site in with his price, so no matter what it is just let him know and he'll get it sorted for you as soon as he can!
***

Thank "God Jesus Christ" I've finished reading and reviewing that book.  The title is totally misleading and is full of nonsense about what the author feels about their religion.  I've got nothing against Christianity, but that book was a painful lecture more than something I enjoyed, unfortunately.

Definitely deserve another curry for tea.  Gonna have a vegetable Bhuna this time 'cos apparently it isn't as dry as the Rogan Josh I had the other day.  As long as it doesn't blow my head off with spicyness, I'm all for giving it a try!
***

Just had a reply from the author thanking me for the review, unlike the ungrateful author who didn't appreciate my 2 star review of his story the other day!
***

Shutting down now, dunno if I'll come back before I hit the hay, so just in case I don't, I'll say "night night all" now.  I'll be back either in a couple of hours or if not, tomorrow for sure.

Book review: "Beyond human brain" by Honest H. Mulela

⭐⭐ out of 5

This book is about Christianity and the Bible, giving the author's opinions on what the books in the bible mean.  You will need a bible close at hand to read this as bible verses are spread liberally throughout and unless you have memorised every word in every book of the bible, including the book and sentence numbers and you can instantly spout the exact wording of any given sentence immediately, you'll need your bible close by you, the whole time you're reading the book.

If you are a Christian then you might give it a higher rating than me, but this book just isn't something I enjoyed reading.

English obviously isn't the authors mother tongue as there are all kinds of spelling and grammar mistakes throughout it as well as at least one set of brackets per paragraph throughout.

It's an OKish book for Christians, it just didn't float my reading boat, unfortunately.

Sorry that I can't give this book a higher rating, it's just not the sort of thing that I enjoy and it's more like a lecture on Christianity than a book.

Friday 11th January 2019

Just got back from walking and feeding the pup.

She totally obliterated all previous records today!

Poo'd at 350% so I was thinking we'd do 400% and come home.

The pup carried on walking.

Didn't even stop at our previous record of 500%.

Or 600%.

We did 700% and the pup wanted to carry on walking from there too, but it just wasn't safe for me, so we came home and I fed and watered her.

There's no way I can walk *anywhere* else today... even the bathroom will be a struggle, but we did a huge 175 metres on her walk today.

Gonna take me supplements now and hopefully start to recover now.
***

975 steps already and I've only been awake for an hour and a half lol

I'm stiff and achey all over... even my fingers are complaining lol
***

That's the supplements swallowed... easily again this morning.  Gonna squirt the B12 spray as well, just to hopefully help me recover quicker.  I'm not planning on moving off the sofa all day today now... I just can't, it won't be safe for me!
***

No wonder I'm so wiped out... we've walked 1900% EXTRA in 5 days!!  That's 2400% TOTAL in 5 days.  Just 600% extra in total to do at the weekend and we'll be at 2500% extra.  Never thought we'd get there, but it's only 400% each day of the weekend and it'll be sorted... just gotta recover from today's marathon first though!  lol
***

Just taken my prescription so I'll be heading to bed for a very well deserved early night tonight!  Very much doubt I'll be able to do any more than 400% each day of the weekend after today's marathon, but that's OK considering how much we achieved today alone... 7 days walks in just one morning - no wonder Mitzi is snoring and I'm barely able to keep my eyes open lol

Nite nite orl!
***

Thursday, 10 January 2019

Thursday 10th January 2018

Another 400% today, so there's 1300% extra in the walkies bank, so as long as we keep doing 400% every morning for the rest of the week, there will be a huuuge 2200% in the extra walkies bank come Sunday.

That'd be awesome.

Might see if she wants to do 450% on just one day so that I can please my OCD, but I'm not going to force her if she doesn't want to.
***

Steve's coming up with a natty little spreadsheet for me with the percentage of walks with the pup and number of steps I've done every day, including a great lil graph so that I can see at a glance how I'm doing.

It's great having a nerd for a husband!  lol
***

No wonder I've been feeling so cruddy over the last few days - I've kept forgetting to take my supplements!

The B12 started kicking in within seconds, literally, but the other 3 will take longer to build back up.  Hopefully it'll speed up my cold effing off too!

Need to get back into the habit of swallowing the four of 'em as soon as I get back from walking the pup 'cos I don't like feeling so cruddy when I really don't need to!
***

Yep, my body is starting to feel better... still got a cold, obviously, but I've got a clearer head, more energy and I'm more awake now, so my body is almost relaxing now that it's got all the vitamins and minerals it needs again.

Gotta get back into the habit of taking the pup for her morning walk, taking my supplements as soon as we get back then brush my teeth before my first hot drink of the day 'cos even my knees aren't as painful as they have been for the last few days and I'm in a better mood too!
***

Coffee cake for a late lunch now.  Far from ideal, but better than it has been recently!
***

First survey of the day complete.
***

Second survey done and dusted.
***

Going to bed now for a veeeery early night... need to remember to put the step count for the day into the spreadsheet before I take my glasses off though!

Nite nite orl!
***

Something to remember...

Wednesday 9th January 2019

Just got back from walking and feeding the pup.

Another 400% again today, so that's the challenge completed already and we've still got more than half the week to go!  It's also a huge 1000% extra walkies in the bank already too.  We might get to 2000% extra this week which'll be awesome!

We can soooo do this!
***

Steve's just said about doing a couple of spreadsheets and recording how many percent we do on out walk every day and my total number of steps too so that I can do a weekly/monthly comparison showing how many steps I do and how many %s we do every day.  You can do awesome little graphs and charts showing all the information which will be awesome and I'll try and remember to put it on my site every week/month so that I can keep track of my fitness, considering the app doesn't work on my phone so I'll have to do it all manually.

It'll be an interesting comparison to see what my activity levels are like over the weeks and months and it'll hopefully chart how much stronger my legs are getting too!

My daily target is 1000 steps and at least 300% a day with the pup from now until the end of the week then I'll take it from there.

It won't be easy, but I've gotta challenge myself so that I don't just sit in front of the laptop all day, every day!
***

Quick virus scan shows that I'm still free of viruses and malware, thankfully, because I'm a paranoid Pandora about getting infected by nasties.  Being able to do a quick scan everyday helps me to feel secure and protected in between the weekly deep virus scans and being able to do them on my phone too is even better.  AVG isn't the cheapest on the market, but that's OK with me 'cos it keeps me safe and is easy to use which is what I want from the programmes I use.
***

Just finished the book and left a review on Amazon, my writing blog and writing site.  It's taken four days and I have to say I'm glad I got to the end... it just really didn't need the first 4 chapters.

The author is only 17 yet his main characters were 22!!

Going to jump in a long, hot, bubble bath as a reward for finally getting through it!
***

Back again now... and the water was light grey this time instead of the gross greeny-grey that it was when I got into the bath straight from having washed my hair, so maybe it's my hair that's going mouldy instead of my skin?  lol

Steve's also "gone a foot down the clothes box and found 2 tops" for me, so I'll take 'em up and hang them up tonight when I go to bed... assuming I remember of course!  lol
***

Got a £10 Amazon voucher for doing a survey for my bank... it only took like 10 or 15 minutes to do and I'd totally forgotten about this reward for doing it, but it means I can have a look around Amazon and see what I can get for free/almost free with it.  It's things like that, that make doing the surveys every day worthwhile... getting those points slowly builds up then you're rewarded when you get to a certain level, either with an Amazon voucher or money into your PayPal account or, with a couple of them, cheques!

It takes a lot of surveys over a longish period of time (as in many months of daily surveys) but the rewards slowly build up then you get rewarded eventually!
***

Having a Burger King meal for tea as a reward for getting through the book  lol
***

Going to bed now, nite nite orl!

Tuesday, 8 January 2019

Tuesday 8th January 2019

Just got back from walking and feeding our pup.

We equalled our personal best today:  500%!!!

That means there's already 700% in the bank after only 2 days and there's just one more 400% to do before completing the challenge I set us at the weekend of 3 lots of 400% this week.

So proud of the pair of us to do a week's worth of extra walks in only two days!  Think I definitely deserve the bath today now!  Just gotta do the surveys and reading some more of the dull book first.  Unfortunately the book is very much a chore to read  😞
***

Supplements went down fine and dandy this morning... just one mouthful of squash each!  Yay!
***

Just taken my prescription and I'm hoping to nearly finish the dull book just as it gets going... doubt it'll be tonight, but maybe tomorrow?
***

Up to chapter 19 of 28 so I've read 9 chapters today.  The author really doesn't need the first few chapters... just dull, unnecessary words that don't add anything to the story, so he can easily get rid of 20,000-odd words and cram it into a couple of paragraphs right at the beginning of the book, which would take it down to a much more manageable 91k words.  In an ideal world he could do with getting rid of another 11k but 91k is a lot better than 111k that it's at right now!

Gonna do the surveys now then head to bed.  Sorry there was such a big gap between taking my supplements and taking my prescription... I was just trying to get myself into the book is all... hopefully after tomorrow things'll be back to normal though.
***

Steve's gonna have a quiet night tonight 'cos the pup has just been out for her nightly wee and poo!  Spectacular puppy!
***

First survey of the day completed and I'm starting to feel tired so I'm just gonna try to finish the surveys I've got invites to, then head to bed.
***

Off to bed now... nite nite orl!
***

Monday, 7 January 2019

Monday 7th January 2019

Was woken up by a cough-a-thon that made me retch multiple times.  Thankfully a single Strepsil sorted out most of the cough and retching.  I'm still coughing but it isn't so 'wet' now.  Thank you for spreading your germs around H!  😞
***

The bin has already been and gone, so I'm gonna take the pup out for her morning stroll and hope that the cold morning air cuts through all the coughing.
***

Was another long walk today - a huge 400% so there's already 300% in the bank on just the first day!  Hopefully there will be another couple of 400%s this week 'cos the pup didn't even pause at the door after 100% today like she usually does so that I can catch up with her.  When she stopped after 400% she was looking at me like "you wanna go in or carry on walking?" so I opened the door for her.

In an ideal world, we'll do a single 500% to equal our personal best record but if the pup doesn't want to then that's totally fine by me!

Already done 652 steps which is over half of the entire day's total yesterday so I'm already feeling really proud of myself even though I've only been awake for a couple of hours!
***

That's me supplements taken.  Almost threw up the Iron because I was coughing so much after taking the Calcium, but other than that everything was fine and dandy.
***

I'm going back to bed... this morning's walk has wiped me out!  lol

BBS
***

94 minutes later and I'm still awake so I've come back down again.  Definitely going to have an early night tonight though... as soon as the shopping's been and gone, I'll take my prescription and head to bed... hopefully be asleep before midnight tonight!
***

Quick virus scan completed - still virus and malware free, thankfully.
***

First survey of the day done and dusted.
***

Second survey completed now... 100% of the invites have been taken so far!
***

Given up with the survey's so I'm gonna try and read another couple of chapters before bedtime now.
***

That's my prescription taken so I'm gonna aim for one more chapter then head to bed.  Wish me luck 'cos I'm gonna need it lol
***

That's the chapter read now, so I'm off to bed now.

Nite nite orl!
***

Sunday, 6 January 2019

Sunday 6th January 2019

The virus scan finished literally a couple of hours after I went to bed yesterday lol  At 11.30pm-ish lol

It didn't find any nasties again though so I'm still protecting myself and you!
***

Took the pup out for her walk and she forced me to do 400% today, which is 100 metres and there's 1,800% in the bank on the last day which is awesome. Can't walk any further now though after 18 days worth of walks extra in 7 days  I'd like to get the bank total up to 2000% extra at some point this year, but I'm not gonna force the pup if she doesn't want to.
***

Gonna try and remember to do the documents back-up while I'm walking the pup next week, 'cos I had to re-start it 3 times while I was sitting here watching it, but it was 97% done when I came back with her and was so much less stressful too!

Time to carry on reading and reviewing yesterdays book now though.
***

That's the rubbish and recycling put out ready for collection tomorrow morning.  I did 90% of it again and almost forgot Mitzi's poo in the back yard.  Not a good day for picking it all up and binning it this week, unfortunately, but it's only once a week, thankfully.
***

Steve's just told me that he's expecting an Amazon delivery today too, so I won't even be able to rest my legs and knees until that arrives either!
***

That's the supplements taken.  The B12 took two mouthfuls of squash to get down, but the other three were fine and dandy with only a single mouthful each.

My knees and legs are weak, feeble and killing me now though and I'm still waiting for Steve's delivery to arrive.
***

Just had an alert about my credit score having changed.

It was just the annual electoral register dooberry, but my credit score is now poor but I've only got 3 credit things making up the score now - the mortgage, my paid off contract mobile and my final credit card.  Two of the three are totally paid off and closed now so I've just got to wait until my credit file eventually catches up but the only credit thing left is the mortgage which is up-to-date and green.

Assuming I get re-awarded PIP again in August this year, I'll be able to pay off additional payments on the mortgage every few months which'll get it paid off sooner too.

The graph is going in the right direction at last.
***

Another 4 chapters (approx 20k words) read and it's time for me to check my email and do the surveys and stuff while I'm waiting for our tea to arrive (veggie lasagne) then I'll take me pills and head to bed for hopefully an early night.
***

That's my prescription taken.  Last pill of my previous box that I got in December so I'll be starting the 2019 prescription tomorrow evening.

In theory, I'll be awake at 8am tomorrow 'cos it's pretty much 8pm now and it seems to be that I wake up 12 hours after I've taken the prescription instead of 12 hours after I go to sleep.
***

After walking for 850% in only 2 days this week, I think I'm entitled to a much-needed early night so nite nite orl!
***

Saturday, 5 January 2019

Saturday 5th January 2019

Just brushed me teeth, filled Mitzi's water bowl right to the top and opened the back door for her.  When it gets a bit lighter out there I'll take her for her morning stroll.  Apparently she poo'd in the back yard overnight so hopefully that means she won't poo on her walk.

The virus scan is at 59%, so it's done 28% overnight and hopefully means it'll finish before bedtime so that we can have our curry for tea and maybe the lasagne tomorrow?  I like take away's like curry and lasagne 'cos they're not usually dripping in oil and are healthier than chips or Chinese 'cos they're not deep fried!
***

That's the puppy walked and fed.  350% this morning, so there's 1500% extra in the bank as of now, which is 15 days walks extra so far this week.

The poor pup is so hungry when we've come back from her walk that she starts eating her food before I've even finished putting it into her bowl!

I think we're both still recovering from yesterday's marathon, but we were only 100% off doing the same again today!

Totally awesome!

Just need to do another 350% tomorrow and my OCD will be happy lol
***

The fitness tracker is back around my ankle now.  I've given up with the app on my smartphone 'cos it's still saying 0 steps and 0km and 0 hours of sleep so I'm gonna uninstall the app and just go with what the tracker says when I go to bed each night.  👌
***

Virus scan is at 62% now, so it's speeding along like a good 'un and there's 10 hours before we order tea so hopefully it'll be pretty much done by then.

What sort of curry do you reckon I should get... it'll be a vegetarian curry and I'm allergic to dairy, so Korma's are out, had a Biriyani last time but that was soooo long ago that I don't want to explode my tastebuds with the first bite, so do I go a step down with the spiciness or stick with the Biriyani?
***

Steve's just said that Biriyani's are "quite mild" so I'm gonna give Rogan Josh a try and hope it's not too explosive otherwise I'll be spending most of tomorrow in the bathroom!  lol
***

OK, so I've decided I'm gonna have a vegetable Rogan Josh, but what about the rice?  Do I have boiled rice, pilau rice or vegetable pilau rice??  I know what boiled rice is, but have never had pilau rice and I'm thinking that the vegetables will fill me up even quicker too!

What do you reckon I should get please?
***

Apparently the pilau rice is more authentic, but if you bite into the cardamon pods they taste like flour, so I'm going with vegetable rogan josh, boiled rice and a plain naan.  I just want to apologise for the smelly farts tomorrow!  lol
***

Just taken me supplements and they all went down really easily again, so it's not the time I take them, but rather what's gone down my throat in the time between taking the pup for her walk and trying to swallow the pills.  Usually it's just a mouthful of squash then I try taking them which rarely worked, but yesterday and this morning I had a mug of coffee and several mouthfuls of pop as well as the mouthful of squash before the first pill so that my throat could slowly wake up and relax which let the pills go down really easily.

Just need to slow my routine down a bit is all and taking the pills will be fine and dandy every morning, hopefully.
***

Virus scan is at 70% now, so it's done 11% in 5 hours - hope it doesn't take 15 hours to do the last 30% lol
***

74% now, so 4% in 2 hours.  The curry place opens at 5pm and I very much doubt it'll be finished in 2 hours so I'll put it on the floor while I eat the curry then put it back on the table when I'm finished eating.
***

Another 4% in 2 hours, so I'm thinking it'll be another all-nighter again  😞  Not to worry though, it'll be finished by the time I come down in the morning, back everything up while it gets late then shut down to give the battery a rest while I'm out with the pup.

Gonna do a couple of surveys then have me tea and head to bed for hopefully another early night.
***

80% at 6pm so it'll prolly be finished soon after I go to bed!  lol
***

84% at 7.30pm so it's speeding up slightly... 4% in 1.5 hours instead of 2 hours so it'll be finished at about 3am.
***

That curry was gorgeous!  No spice at all for the first third at least of it then it suddenly hit me and didn't stop!

Don't think I'll have the Naan bread again though... either that or try it once more with a wetter curry.  Our arses are going to stink tomorrow lol

Gonna take my prescription, finish reading chapter 2 then head to bed 'cos I'm done in!
***

That's my prescription taken and I've got earache again now... forgotten just how painful it is because I'm pretty sure I haven't had it since I burst my eardrum in childhood!
***

I'm off to bed now... back again tomorrow morning when hopefully the virus scan will be finished.

Nite nite orl!
***

Friday, 4 January 2019

Friday 4th January 2019

The pup was a walking machine this morning!

She didn't do 100%.

Or 200%

Let alone 300%

Or even 400%!!

She forced me to walk a huge 450% this morning!!

There was 900% extra in the bank yesterday, added to today's 350% extra, means there's 1250% in the bank after only 5 days so we're looking good for getting at least 1500% in the bank, or maybe even 1750% 'cos that's only 250% extra each day of the weekend.  I'm not going to force her though... as long as we do 100% then that's fine by me!

The reason she didn't want to extend it to 500% was because she needed a poo, which she did in the back yard within a couple of minutes of me taking her harness off... she's such a thoughtful pup and seems to understand how difficult I find it to bend down and pick up her poo, so she's done it in the back yard for the last 3 days.  Awesome pup.

We also finished her bag of food off for her breakfast, so it's a good job we got another one in the week before Christmas.

She's fast asleep in her bed now though!  lol
***

I only set the virus scan going an hour or so ago and it's already at 26%!!  As long as I clear the caches again before I go to bed, hopefully it'll be finished by the time I come down tomorrow.
***

That's the supplements taken... shockingly easily today!  Just 1 mouthful of squash for each of them and 1.5 mouthfuls even for the multi, purely cos I was paranoid that I'd throw it back up and my mouth was pretty dry.  4 supplements in 5 mouthfuls of squash though is incredible for me!

It can be done, I just want more days like today is all!

I am so ace... I am so ace!
***

That's the last of the Amazon stuff I ordered over Christmas 'cos the last thing arrived with the post this morning even though it's 11 days before the first delivery date!!  Impressive speed by anyone's standards!

That really is it now though, no more spending other than groceries until the start of February when I'll get Steve's Valentine gift for him then that's it until June when it's my mum's birthday then our anniversary then Mitzi's 10th birthday!

Gonna put £25 a week into my savings account to slowly build up enough money to be able to afford to study in 2020.  You watch me forget though!  lol
***

Just won a £10 Amazon voucher from a survey I did for my bank... totally surprised that it's happened... today has been a good day for me so far and Steve's just brought in a mug of tea for me too!
***

Steve's just said about having a curry for tea tonight, but the virus scan is running so I can't turn my laptop off to put on the floor so we'll hopefully have it tomorrow instead, when the scan is done and dusted and the laptop is backed up again.

It's been aaaages since we last had a curry and my taste-buds are getting excited at the mere thought!  lol

We've had 2 home-cooked meals this week (toasted sarnies do count IMO 'cos they weren't ordered in so therefore they are made at home which is all I want) so having the curry tomorrow is fine by me!

Can't help craving the veggie lasagne from a different take-away delivery place now though! lol
***

Prescription taken... that was easy to swallow tonight too, so maybe I've just been taking the supplements too early?  Before my throat has woken up?  Maybe I should try taking them at lunchtime instead of straight after I've taken the pup for her stroll?
***

Having a really early night... 7.45pm and I'm heading to bed now.

Nite nite orl!
***

Thursday, 3 January 2019

Thursday 3rd January 2019

Got up spectacularly early this morning...6.15am and I was already down here and having issues with my laptop!

Just taken the pup for her walk... she only wanted to do 250% this morning so there's 900% in the bank now.  She met up with someone who's doing some kind of building or something next door and their rubbish bag is still out there taking up the majority of the pavement, leaving less than 20cm of the path walkable on.  Totally serious!

Gonna take me supplements now.  Gonna try swallowing the Multi with multiple mouthfuls and not taking the bottle away from my mouth until it's gone to see if that makes it easier to swallow.  Wish me luck!
***

Blimey!  They all went down OK this morning... even the multi only took one mouthful of squash!

If only it was so easy every morning!

Gonna post to the depression forum about Mitzi's stroll this morning then take the rest of the day as it comes.  Our groceries are coming between 10am and 11am today, so I don't want to get too involved in anything so that I have to stop in the middle of it which'll put me in an un-necessary foul mood, so I'm just gonna take it easy for the next couple of hours.
***

Toasted cheese sarnies for lunch.  Yuuuum!
***

Just taken me prescription and I'm wide awake now!  Typical!  lol
***

Going to bed even though I'm not tired yet, so nite nite orl!
***

Wednesday, 2 January 2019

Wednesday 2nd January 2019

The puppy did a huge 400% this morning, so there's 750% extra in the bank after only 3 days.

I've also sort of got the fitness tracker working... it's counting my steps on the tracker but still not in the app and I don't know why.  It still wasn't counting when it was around my ankle so I put it around my wrist and suddenly it started counting which was great... just gotta work out why the app isn't working now!

Time for me supplements then I can do whatever I remember to do for the rest of the day.
***

That's the four pills taken.  Pretty easy today, thankfully.  Even the Multi only took 2 mouthfuls of squash to swallow this morning!

What shall I do next?  Check the forum then start writing I reckon after not writing a single word for JanNo yesterday!  Naughty Amanda!
***

OK, writing starts now.  Gonna put my headphones on, listen to Take That, and aim for 5 chapters of 1,000 words a day before I'm allowed a can of J2O.

Wish me luck!
***

That's the virus scan finished and I'm still free of nasties, thankfully.  Debating on getting the privacy dooberry, but don't want to get into the same pickle with it as I was a few months back!  Sooo confusing, Donald!
***

Given up on JanNo for this year.  I wrote a grand total of 2 paragraphs in chapter 1 before I was struck down with writer's block  😞.  The first 2 chapters are always the same.  😞

I'm gonna write it eventually, just not for JanNo this year unfortunately.
***

Just taken me prescription and it's kicking in already so I'm off to bed... nite nite orl!

Tuesday 1st January 2019!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
I hope you enjoy 2019 as much as possible... I certainly intend to!

Have you got any New Year's resolutions? I've got 2:
  • to lose a clothes size around my waist so that I comfortably fit into a size 14 for trousers and skirts
  • to get published

This is going to be MY year to become a better person than I was in 2018.  I wish you all sucess and happiness throughout this year.  Just do your best and you'll get there - it's all anyone can ask!
***

The pup did 300% on her walk this morning, so there's 450% in the bank already this week.

She was eager to go this morning and poo'd at less than 10% of the distance so she was obviously desperate, poor girl!  She seems to understand that I need to lean on a car to pick up her poo though, cos it's been pretty much a week now since she poo'd in a gap between cars so that's great going by the pup!

So proud of her!
***

Got £500 in my account now!  Yay!
***

Just found out that I won't be studying this year after all.  The module I want to try first costs almost £3,000 and opens for registration in April.  There's no way I can find that much, that quickly, hopefully next year though... gives me something to save up for now!

Bit disappointing but I'm determined to do it without borrowing the money... it just wasn't meant to be.  My Gods and Godesses have obviously got something better planned for me this year!

It *will* happen, just not in 2019 is all.
***

That's the supplements taken.  The first three went down fine and dandy, so I foolishly assumed that the Multi would too.

Nope.

Three mouthfuls of squash later and it barely went down my throat.  It's gone now though, so don't need to worry about it until tomorrow now.  Dunno why it's suddenly become so difficult to swallow it  👎 😕
***

Got my first cold of the year now, just to put the tin hat on things.  Not too bad yet, but I've been sneezing a bit and my eyes are watering, so just waiting for the snotty nose and coughing alongside a possible sore throat and I've got the full works on the first day of 2019  😒

First home-cooked meal of 2019 - toasted cheese sandwiches.  Yummy, scrummy, in my tummy!

Gonna take me prescription now and have an early night now... just gotta wait for the prescription to kick in first!

5.50pm and me prescription has just gone down the hatch so, in theory, I'll be awake by 6am tomorrow but I'm just gonna turn over and go back to sleep hopefully!

7pm and I'm off to bed now.  Not tired yet so gonna hang up me clothes first before I turn the light off and head under the duvet.

Nite nite orl!  C U in the morning!
