Gulp!

I've potentially just found the seeds I've been looking for 'cos they've got heaps of protein and Omega-3 in them... Chia seeds!


I'm gonna start off incredibly slowly with just a teaspoon of seeds in about 250ml of water, left in the fridge overnight to see how that goes.  If my stomach doesn't react badly to that (I've got no reason to think it will, I'm just being overly cautious is all), then I'll try them with soya milk, left overnight and had for my breakfast and take it from there.


I'm hoping that they will make a good breakfast for me on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays so that I don't have to worry about putting my laptop on the floor ('cos of the weekly virus scan) on Wednesday and I'll still be full on Thursday at lunchtime when my carer doesn't want to eat anything 'cos of travelling to his medical appointment.


They would be good for Steve medically too 'cos of other things that they offer, but he turned his nose up at the idea when I suggested it to him.  Can't wait to try them, but I'm nervous too!
