Book Review: "Kate Middleton's Mother: How Carole Middleton Became the Backbone of the British Royal Family" by 1-Hour Royals

Kindle Unlimited

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

If you've read any of my other recent book reviews (including for this series of books), you'll already know that I start them all off by saying that each books starts off with the full set of stars and that I'm always hopeful that they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover.  You'll also know that I'm not shy about taking stars off, but I always give my reasons for removing them, they don't just vanish into thin air for seemingly no reason.

Let's get going with the reading and reviewing:

I'm really enjoying this book so far!  It started off with the Royal Family then smoothly introduced Princess Catherine's family and the enormous differences between their early years.

So far so good with the first chapter... it sounds like Princess Kate grew up with all the love and affection she could ever want or need and that both of her parents were devoted to their three children right from the start.

I barely knew anything about the Middleton's before I started reading this book, but I can see why this book has the subtitle that it has now - she was (and still is) the injection of warmth and affection and love that the Royal Family were desperately in need of purely because of the different social classes they were and are.

Wowsers!  It sounds like things went from bad to worse after she lost her business while supporting her eldest daughter, her son-in-law and royal grandchildren!

What a great end to a great book and I agree that Carole deserves some kind of recognition over how she has not only supported her daughter, but her son-in-law and grandchildren too!
