Sunday 7th June 2020

Mornin' all.

Had a late night after all and according to the Fitbit app, I didn't get to sleep until 11.21pm last night, despite shutting down before 8pm 🕗!

I've taken my pills and I'm about to refil my pill box organiser thingamejig for the next week then I'll take the puppy for her walk.
➰➰➰

Okey dokes, that's the pills sorted for another week, so time to take the puppy out for her first walk of the day now.  BBS.
➰➰➰

I've had a reminder come up to unplug the power lead for my laptop to discharge the battery, same as I do every month, so I'll do that now, then take the puppy out for her walk.
➰➰➰

That's the senior puppy walked, fed and watered.  Rubbish, cardboard and recycling out for another week, so time for me to recover until we get our lunch delivered now.

I'm trying to seriously cut down on the exclamation marks that I'm doing, 'cos they used to be spread liberally through every blog post I made.  I think I'm doing better, but it's weird not seeing as much red grammar throughout my blog now 🤣
➰➰➰

That's my Fitbit charging up, ready for tomorrow.  I know I said I was gonna leave it for 24 hours after the battery turned grey, but it's marathon Monday tomorrow and I don't wanna risk my steps being counted on my weekly stepathon... it'll be easier to work out how many days the battery lasts for too, which my OCD'll be happier with too, now that my maffs is even worse than it was while I was at school.
➰➰➰

Fitbit is back around my ankle again now, and I've just bought another 5 courses from the New Skills Academy - you can keep up to date with the courses on my navigation page if you want to❓

Lunch has just been delivered so I'm gonna close all my windows in case the laptop dies while I'm eating... I'll BBS though, promise❗
➰➰➰

Cor lummy, it's a good job we don't have a roast dinner every day 'cos we're both stuffed to the gills and Steve's snoring his head off.  It's the only thing I've eaten so far today and according to the Fitbit app it was 1,154 calories.  I've been right on target with 4 meals so far this week - Monday was quite a bit under and Thursday was under too, but that was because it wasn't recording the burnt calories 'cos I hadn't restarted it then and it doesn't look like I was very hungry that day either 'cos I only ate 559 calories (a bowl of chips and an individual apple pie) and I don't remember being hungry at all, despite eating so little.
➰➰➰

I haven't got a clue what I've done this afternoon either, but I've just taken me last pills of the day, so I'm gonna head to bed now for an early night, after yesterdays really late one❗  Night night all... see you at some point tomorrow 👌

Saturday 6th June 2020

Mornin' all.

Gotta remember to use those curly things to break up each blog comment, yeah❓  Which colour text shall I use today❓  Green maybe❓  Like this❓  Hmmm, looks a bit dark to be recognised for green, so let's try orange instead... is this any better❓  It started off looking a bit red but it's definitely orange now, so I'm gonna stick with the orange.

I've taken my pills and checked my email, so it's time to take the puppy out for her stroll now 🐾, as long as the pesky but brave seagull has flown off... I'll go and put my head out of the door to check... BRB❗

The seagull has disappeared, thankfully, so I'm gonna take the puppy for her stroll then sort out the exercise spreadsheet (that I was having issues with last night) and put it up on my homepage.
➰➰➰

The puppy hasn't moved out of her basket, so I'm gonna feed her and try again in a couple of hours 'cos I think she's feeling her age (11 years old at the end of June) this morning so I'm not gonna force her.

She's sat between Steve's fee...
➰➰➰

...she decided that she wanted to go for her walk just then, so I took her out and we strolled while she wanted to, just in case she didn't feel up to it at the end of the sentence.

I'm wondering if she's got arthritis or something which causes her pain so she doesn't want to move 'cos it took a good 10 or 15 minutes of persuasion and her breakfast before we eventually and very slowly got out there and it took a few very slow lengths before she felt able to walk at her normal speed and start to enjoy it then the last few lengths were the same too.  I just hope it's Westitude rather than pain that she was showing this morning❗
➰➰➰

She was fine with her second walk, so I'll see how she goes tomorrow before I settle on whether it's Westitude or medical.

Gotta read and review a book now... it's only a short one, so I'm hoping to be finished with reading and reviewing it by tomorrow morning.
➰➰➰

That's the book read, reviewed, coded and uploaded, so I've just got a photo of the puppy to put on my homepage then I'm off to bed.
➰➰➰

Time to hit the hay now... nite nite orl.  Sea ewe 2morro

Book Review: The Big Game by Bethany James

⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

Such a weird book... the first poem lasts for 3 pages, then there are four poems with less than four lines each and now we've got a recipe!  The recipe is supposed to be making you feel romantic, yet you're expected to wait for it to set for 3 hours... the romance would have built up then died by the time you'd waited for that!  Unfortunately that's the first star gone.

And another recipe... hope this one is better than the first one!  Nope, this one is buged in the fridge for an hour before being cooked for an hour... the romance will definitely have died again while waiting for this recipe to be ready.  I'm feeling generous right now, so not knocking off another star yet, but I will be if there are any other hour-long baking sessions!

The next poem is better than the first few, but very religiously Christian which ain't for me unfortunately.  I don't deny that there are a lot of Christians are romantics, but there are oneheckuva lot more of other or no religion that might very well be turned off with Christianity shoved down their throat like this.

The next poem starts off brilliantly until it starts going on about Christianity again.  I'm liking this book less and less with each page I read unfortunately.

The next two poems are good too... the author has valliantly pulled back from the edge of me knocking off another star lol

Aww the "Surprise Me" poem is the best one so far!  WTG the author!

What started out with romance is now about fighting and breaking up with your partner... this book seems to be more about relationships between a Christian couple, rather than a collection of romance poems for everyone.  If things don't become more positive very fast then I'm knocking off a second star... sorry.

I hope the author has permission to use the Grinch character in this book, or they could be getting themselves into serious trouble!

The author is now saying to look for the thorns in a rose rather than the beauty of the petals - that's about as far from romantic as you can get!  That's the second star lost... I hope I don't have to knock off any more before the end of the book!

And now we're back to the first sparks of romance in a relationship... the second relationship in two thirds of the book - hardly what I would call romantic... if you gave this book to your partner as a romantic gesture they would prolly feel like you cared about them, then wanted to split up with them, then you saw them as a thorn and now you're looking for a new, different relationship!  Not good... not good at all.

Now the author is putting things from bloggers into the book... I hope they've got written permission from the copyright holders or the author may get into even deeper trouble!

I started off in such a positive mood and really wanted to award the full five stars to this book, but I'm left feeling very disappointed unfortunately.  Sorry.

That's annoying then!

Just checked to see what I said yesterday and the page breaks aren't showing up in the posts you see, so I'll have to go back to using the curly things after all, tsk.  You watch me forget tomorrow though.  😒😟

I really am going to bed now.  Nighty night night again everyone.

Friday 5th June 2020

Morning all.

Think I've worked out why my Fitbit hasn't been working for the last few days - there seems to be a worldwide Inspire issue, so it really was just bad timing that I decided to run the charge down when I did 🤣

I've taken my pills so I'm gonna take the puppy out for the first walk of the day now.  Gonna change the text colour for today to blue, first though 😉

Thursday 4th June 2020

Morning all.

Absolutely nothing has been logged in the Fitbit app or on my tracker, so I'm just gonna not log anything other than food and liquid manually today and just hope that it sorts itself out soon❗

I've taken my pills and I'm about to walk the puppy for the first time today.  BBS.

Wednesday 3rd June 2020

Mornin' again all.

The Fitbit is begging to be charged up now 'cos it's taking forever to load up the info in the app, so I'll take the puppy for her morning stroll then take my pills and set it charging.  It's done well to give me 4 days longer than normal though, so I ain't complaining at all❗

It looks a bit wet out there and it's a lot cooler than yesterday, so hopefully the puppy will find it easier to walk this morning.

Tuesday 2nd May 2020

Morning all.

I'm seriously impressed with the Fitbit's charge still lasting❗  This is day 3 extra so far and I would have charged it up at least once usually, but not this time❗  It's still recording my steps and sleep without me having to manually put it in and the app is still saying that it's half charged so I'm gonna give it until tomorrow then really will reward it with a well-deserved charging session 🤣

Gonna take my pills while the puppy is still reluctant to wake up then take her for a walk and get started with my day.

100% success

Since the lockdown started to ease I've been  more determined than ever to hit my new Monday target of 10,000 steps and I've just done it for the second week in a row!!!

I've pulled my left groin while I was doing the leg lifts and I'm wide awake now, so I'll be reading a magazine and listen to the radio until I can barely keep my eyes open, but that's OK 'cos I DID IT!!!

Gonna put the phone away now and curl up in bed with a huge grin plastered to my face now.

Night night again all!

Monday 1st June 2020

Morning all.

It's a Monday and the start of a new month, so I've gotta take the puppy for a marathon walk, sort out the FitBit spreadsheet then move the photos of the puppy dog over to her 2020 page and it's not even 8am yet❗
