...my go-to no-writing reward now - mocha grande with soya milk and caramel syrup, vegan flapjack and vegan cheesecake... my body is saying "too much sugar, too quickly!" now though, but that's OK, it's not like I usually overload on sugar any more and I think I deserve it after my medical appointment this morning!
From now on, my go-to treats/rewards look like this:
Writing related - J2O (ideally glitterberry, but if not then apple and mango)
Non-writing related - decaf mocha grande with soya milk and caramel syrup. The cheesecake and flapjacks are extra things for experiences that cause me a great deal of anxiety (so dentists, spiders, heights and speed and stuff like that) but for rewards for smaller things, decaf mocha grande is my go-to reward from now on.
I feel more confident about going into a coffee shop or cafe or whatever and assuming they have the things in, I know what I can confidently order and enjoy now, which I didn't this morning.
I'd like to try the Caffe Nero "vegan vegetable sausage roll" at some point but for now, I'm very happy with today's reward. I can see it inspiring me to try and over-ride my anxiety more often now, so that I can have my next one.
