⭐⭐ out of 5
If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know that I start them all off in the same way - by saying that every book I read and review starts off with the full barrel-load of 5 stars and that I'm always hopeful they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover. You'll also know that I'm not shy about removing stars as appropriate, but I always give my reasons for doing so within the review, they don't just disappear.
Let's get going with this book shall we?
I'm up to page 8 and I'm already not liking this book... I can't put my finger on it, but it feels like there's gonna be violence or a*use before too much longer and I'm not getting a good feeling about it, so the first star is coming off already and I'm gonna skip ahead a bit I think.
I've skipped ahead to page 26 and it's sounding like there's gonna be masculine control throughout this book and I'm really not liking the feeling I'm getting so I'm knocking off another star and skipping ahead again.
A very brief skim over chapter 4 is making me feel even less comfortable with the controlling nature of the male characters so I'm knocking off the third star and officially giving up.
If you don't mind violence and control then you might enjoy it, but it's just not my kinda book at all unfortunately.
