My central heating is...

...getting fixed.

It's taken 6 days without heating or hot water, but things are moving now, thanks to the fan man prompting me.

I've gotta contact them in the morning but the frost protection is now, officially, off and all the settings are on manual so I've gotta remember to turn them off tonight and on again in the morning, but the communication error popped up at just the right time and Simon instantly seemed to know what was going on.  He's going to play with a couple of things on his side then we'll go through another test and more settings tomorrow and with any luck I'll have central heating that's affordable and reliable before the weekend and I might even be able to have a hot bath too with any luck.

I dunno if it's actual heat from the central heating or if it's just my mind playing tricks on me, but the left side of my face is feeling nice and warm and the chill is already starting to disappear from the living room.  What's even better is that the smart meter is still on green and not the orange that it was as soon as the central heating came on last week.

The manual things have been on for the last 18 minutes and haven't used a penny of electricity yet... I could get used to this lol
