...go through the 2 green bags and the box with the rest of Steve's stuff in, decide what I want to keep then put it away and take photos of the stuff I don't want to keep to offer it to my in-laws to decide if they want any of it... anything that they don't want I'll advertise on Freegle then breathe a big sigh of relief that I've started the clear-out at last.
When I've cleared away in here, I'll buy a chair to go in the cleared space where Steve's chair was so that people have somewhere to sit when they come over for whatever reason.
One room, a bit at a time isn't so overwhelming as having to clear out an entire room of stuff before you can even get through the door like it is in the spare room atm. That'll be the last room and one bag or box at a time instead of seeing the state of the room as a whole and not being able to motivate myself to even open the door let alone start it.
