I wrote a letter to the hairdresser who had agreed to do my hair shaving and apparently it was a good thing I did because she wasn't comfortable shaving it all off as it can be an emotional experience, which is fair enough.
What's happening now is that the hairdresser will plait and cut me as short as she's comfortable with so that I can donate it to the Little Princess Trust, Marie will then give me a "buzz cut" because that's as short as she's willing to go, then she'll hopefully help me to dye my hair a totally outrageous colour (like pink or purple or orange or green or whatever) ready for going to get it all shaved off with a salon who has done it before so know what they're doing for MacMillan.
It's still definitely going ahead on 30th June (plus whenever the salon can fit me in), but I could be emotional 3 times instead of the once that I was hoping for.
