I was supposed to have this for my lunch yesterday but my lunchtime carer didn't turn up so I had a packet of crisps for my lunch yesterday and a home-made (by my MIL) butternut squash soup for my lunch today. It was surprisingly filling and very satisfying because butternut squash is my favourite vegetable.
I sneaked in a couple of Graze punnets as well so that I could nudge my calories into the red which will hopefully mean that I've put on weight again next week.

I had a few techie issues with getting my monthly virus scan to start up this morning - turns out it was a PICNIC error which is sorted out now and the monthly virus scan is plodding away like a good'un now.
I've already taken my morning pills and breakfast today is 4 biscuits and a mug of decaff coffee. I've gotta try and remember to ask my lunchtime carer to do the soup instead of what's on the menu so that it doesn't go to waste.
I've got my groceries being delivered this morning so that'll be fun, especially if my carer doesn't turn up as early as she usually does (usually around 7.15am to 7.30am).
I forgot about this blog post and started dealing with my emails and Facebook! Woops!
Time to publish this and sort out my day's to-do list before I forget again I reckon.
My body is on the verge of shutting down so I wanna make sure I'm in bed before that happens so that I don't come tumbling down the stairs or fall over and not be able to get up.

I've just solved, alone, a router issue that I would usually have asked Steve about, I was tempted to text Marie to ask for her advice or the tech support bods at my ISP but I managed to fix it totally alone despite it sending my blood pressure through the roof lol
Lunch today was a packet of crisps 'cos my lunchtime carer didn't bother turning up and it'd've been dangerous to cook alone, so I resorted to a packet of crisps and mug of decaff coffee.
Time to put my photo up, then update the to-do list, then sort out my delivery so that I can cross a few more things off the list.

Today's breakfast was another bowl of fruit and fibre with soya milk and an orange juice again.
I'm starting to get used to the blandness of it now... I still prefer a sweet punch to kick my tastebuds into action, but the healthiness of it is worth more than the wanting the sweet kick first thing.

It was good while it lasted, but I've started this week with less than 8 hours of sleep again, which is frustrating, but hey ho, not to worry eh?
I've taken my morning pills and I got my sums wrong with when I'd be paid again - I thought it was today but I was wrong, it's next week... I knew it would be too good to actually have some money in my account lol
I've gotta remember to weigh myself, then code and upload the spreadsheet to my homepage... I really can't afford to lose any more weight.
I've got a couple of deliveries due from Amazon at some point today and knowing my luck they'll turn up while I'm naked in the bathroom or at the bottom of the stairs getting dressed lol Gotta bring the rubbish and recycling containers in too when they've been picked up. My daily virus scan has just finished and my machine is still free from nasties, thankfully.
Wanna get a bit more reading done today, in amongst all the other things I've got going on 'cos it felt sooo good to escape into a different world yesterday.

I've had a bit of a readathon this evening and time has kinda got away from me, so the early night I was hoping for is, in reality, gonna be a late night. Not to worry though - it'll hopefully mean that I wake up at a more sensible time tomorrow morning lol

I've had a pig-out for lunch and brought leftovers home ready for either later on today if I get hungry or to go with my soup tomorrow, like I did last week. The doorbell is up and working and so is my new whiteboard and I've taken all the rubbish and recycling out so I'm all set for an afternoon of reading children's books now!
Gotta remember to find and invest in some teeny tiny batteries to go into the bell bit of the doorbell so that I'm prepared for the one that came with it conking out with no warning. Marie put the noticeboard, bell and button within my reach so that I can be totally independent with it all without having to pester her for something as minor as changing a battery.
I've done just over 3,000 steps today but no active minutes which is fair enough... will I hit 4,000 steps before bedtime I wonder?
I've got a drinking choccie on the go, so I'm gonna start charging up my FitBit so that it records my sleep tonight, while I'm indulging in way too much chocolatey goodness as I read and review this morning's children's books.
I've just bought what I hope are the right batteries for the bell, and a space-saving device to go onto the counter above the washer/dryer so that I can keep that area decluttered.
Just had the reminders come up for the books and I've drained my drinking choccie, so I'm gonna go and get myself a glass of water then settle down for an afternoon of reading after I've taken my lunchtime pill and refilled the dosette box ready for next week.
I had fruit and fibre cereal with soya milk and a bottle of orange juice for breakfast this morning. I'm still finding the cereal a bit bland but then I've been having a chocolatey cereal for a while so my tastebuds are used to a hit of sweetness first thing lol I'll still have the fruit and fibre cereal for a while 'cos it's full of good stuff, which is more important to me than a hit of sweetness first thing.

I obviously needed that early night last night 'cos I managed 9 hours and 15 minutes of sleep overnight and I'm feeling sooo much better this morning because of it!
I've gotta remember to take the rubbish and recycling out when I get back this afternoon... I can't do it now 'cos my carer needs to be able to get rid of her PPE and Marie is gonna put the new notice board and doorbell up for me when we get back, so she'll have things to bin and recycle too so it's pointless doing anything before then or I'd have to re-sort the rubbish and recycling which would make double the work for myself. I'm gonna put everything other than food waste out today 'cos there's so little food waste in such a huge bag that it's pointless, so that'll go out next week, but there's some plastic and glass to get rid of (not much, admittedly, but enough), so that'll be going out today.
I'm gonna put up my to-do list then have my breakfast I reckon. There won't be a lunch photo today 'cos I'll be with my in-laws and don't take a photo while I'm with them, but there *will* be a breakfast photo.

I managed a smidgen over 8 hours of sleep for the third day on the trot and woke up at 4.59am instead of what was becoming my usual 3am.
I've taken my morning pills and got a mug of decaff tea on the go to start the day off right. The daily virus scan was clear and worked first time today. I could swear that there was a big task I was supposed to remember to do today but can't for the life of me remember what it was!
I'm gonna have biccies for breakfast today instead of cereal and juice so that they don't go off so there won't be a morning meal photo today.
Oh! I've just remembered what the big thing to do today was - pay the electric! I'll try and re-remember to do that when I've put my to-do list up. I've gotta update the details for the National Grid and get ready for the Council to visit on the 6th too.
I reckon I'm gonna have an easy day today... it's been all go for the last few months and I need some time to recover.

It was nerve-wracking, purely because I'd never done it before, but it's over and done with for the next 4 weeks now and I just need to remember to contact my doctors surgery again for another sick/fit note and ask them to make it permanent as opposed to 3 months like they promised to do... I've gotta work out how to add a permanent date to my UC dashboard thing first though lol
I've definitely had my 5 portions of fruit and veg today, 'cos I had 2 for breakfast and another 6 for lunch today lol My body definitely approves of getting all this good stuff into me instead of just pasta or rice dishes lol
Today's lunch was 6 hash browns, 2 portions of sweet potato fries and 2 portions of sweetcorn and I'm so stuffed I could burst lol.
I could have sworn that the non-wool laundry didn't get dried if I used the rapid, 30 minute wash, but I figured I'd give it ago and use the "air fresh" cycle if it was still wet.
The cycle has just finished so I nervously opened the door and my clothes *were* dry after all, so the machine only needs to be on for 30 minutes for the first load of (non-wool) laundry instead of the almost 4 hours that it's been on pretty much since I got it. My wool things (two cardigans and a woollen top) still need to go on the wool cycle (obviously) for 3 hours and 50 minutes, but I've saved myself the best part of 3 hours worth of electricity every day now which should really cut down on my electricity usage and therefore charge now!
Gertrude (the washer/dryer) is saving me even more money than I thought which will save the electricity and go a small way to doing my part for the environment too! Thank you Gertrude and Gaia (my Goddess) for encouraging me to try it one last time!
In a radical change from the norm, I had fruit and fibre for my breakfast this morning instead of my usual chocolatey cereal. There were 3 hugely long slices of banana and a few raisins so that's pretty much one serving of fruit, right? I had an apple juice too, so that's two portions of fruit in one meal which my body is already showing appreciation for and I've only got 3 portions to go at lunchtime to hit my 5 daily portions of fruit and veg, so I think I'll manage it again today.

I've gotta stop saying that I'm fine and I can cope when the reality is that I'm not and I can't.

Oodles of veg again today but my fingers got incredibly sticky 'cos of using my hands to eat the corn on the cob lol
I had 2 servings of vegetable fries, at least 1 serving of potato croquettes and 2 corn on the cob, so I well and truly got my 5 portions of fruit and veg in today after the apple juice this morning too! I'm nicely full and my body is enjoying having so much veg in my diet now.

I'm doing OK, just cold as always. I've taken my morning pills and started off the virus scan so today's big tasks to do is to sort out the electric and see my enabler this afternoon... you watch me forget again, like I did yesterday, though! 😄
I'm gonna put today's to-do list up now then go and get myself some breakfast methinks, ready for the carer to come and help me to get washed and dressed, then I'm gonna have my second mocha of the week methinks.
I started adding things to my Amazon wishlist yesterday that I'll be able to buy when Steve's chair has eventually been taken away and I'm gonna put fake plants on the shelves when all of Steve's stuff has been taken and I'm gonna get rid of the microwave and not replace it, just put some fake plants there too.

I've crossed everything that needed to be done today off the to-do list (other than taking my evening pills and heading to bed) so there's nothing else that needs to be done now.
I'm gonna reconnect my watch to the strap then take my pills and head off to beddy-byes in the hope of getting at least 8 hours of sleep tonight.
...a huge amount of pain, shaking like a leaf and wobbling like a wobbly thing, but the kitchen and airlock have been mopped for the first time in years. I can't tell the difference yet 'cos I think I'll need to get a special floor cleaner at least to start with, but it's done for the week now, so the floor just needs to dry so that I can safely go through to use the bathroom next time.
I'll have to swap today and Saturday around just for this week 'cos mopping the floor was Saturday's job and cleaning the bathroom was today's 😆

It's all together now, I just need to fill the water bottle up and hopefully that will be all that needs doing. I need to recover from my screw up, stop shaking and get rid of the arm pain first, but then I'll hopefully be good to go.
Assuming it works, it'll be something else that I can do regularly alone and now that the bedroom is clearer I can ask my morning carer to take the vacuum upstairs before she leaves in the morning and ask my lunchtime carer to bring it back down while the oven is pre-heating.
I'm slowly building up confidence in myself and my abilities to cope alone now. It's hard going, but I'm slowly getting there.

I sorted out a technical issue without panicking this morning... the same thing happened exactly a week ago and it took about 3 hours to solve and I wasn't a happy bunny, but I managed to sort it out in about half an hour this morning.
I forgot to charge up the landline phone yesterday, so that's getting a bit of much-needed juice before my carers come and it definitely needs to go for an overnight charge tonight so that it doesn't switch off mid-conversation with an important call.
I've got the last couple of deliveries arriving today and I'm gonna put yesterday's mop together and give the kitchen floor a good going over after the morning carers have gone. I definitely need to have breakfast today 'cos I totally forgot yesterday!
I've taken my morning pills and set the virus scan going, so I'm gonna go and make myself some breakfast, then I think I'll make myself a Mocha when my morning carers have been and gone, but I'm gonna try making it with caffeinated coffee instead of decaff to see which i prefer... I might even be able to start on my TBR pile again too.

A couple of hours late, but I had something significant on between finishing eating and now, but it's all sorted now, assuming I've done it right of course.
Today's lunch was 3 potato waffles, 3 sweet potato hash browns, mushrooms and plenty of ketchup. I'm gonna make myself a well-deserved drinking chocolate for the first time in about 10 days now that the shop I get it from is seemingly back in stock.

I experimented with my FitBit overnight by going to bed when the charge was lower than usual to see if it would still record my sleep. The result is that it did but it's protesting this morning so it's charging up now.

...a new notice board, floor mop, pillows, duvet cover with pillow cases and a twin set of printer cartridges for just under £100!
Not bad going for a few minutes buying, started off by the desperate need for the printer cartridges before Saturday and I figured I'd get the other things at the same time. They are coming tomorrow and Wednesday so I bet they will arrive at the same time as my groceries tomorrow and my lunchtime carer on Wednesday lol They are mainly one-off purchases (other than the cartridges) so it's not so bad.
Time to update the to-do list now that I can cross the board off it.

I've woken up in an incredible mood this morning!
I've popped my pills already so I'm gonna go and make myself a hot drink then have a few choccies before breakfast and weighing myself. Gonna put the first load of yesterday's laundry on first though!
I finished coming up with the menu's until the start of April after I got home yesterday and the last week is veeery pasta heavy 'cos 4 meals out of the 7 will be pasta and sauce and there will be one box of home-made soup left by the end of that week so I'll have to find something else to have on the Monday instead lol
I'm gonna see how long I can do without the heating being on this week... it doesn't need to be on all day every day and it will save a good amount of money just having it on when I'm cold, rather than all the time - I don't need to be warm all the time, just not cold is all. My head is telling me to turn the heating on in here but I'm not going to for as long as possible 'cos it doesn't need to be on yet and I'll feel more benefit from it only being on for a few hours rather than constantly too.
My toe is starting to heal up a bit more now, but picking the scab off was maybe not the wisest idea out there lol It's a habit thing rather than a necessity and I've gotta break that habit, just like I did with biting my nails and pulling out my hair. It's breakable, I've just gotta catch myself before it's too late is all.
Just started the daily virus scan, so now it's time for sorting out my day's to-do list, then breakfast, then weighing myself I reckon. Gotta remember to keep an eye on the battery level on my FitBit too. I'm gonna maybe let the battery go until about 75% rather than 79% just to see if I can take it that low and it still records my steps and sleep. I might wait until like 5pm before I charge it up today so that it's full of juice for recording my sleep but as low as possible before I charge it up. I think 75% is the absolute minimum, but we shall have to see.
