Thursday 28th February 2019

That's me supplements swallowed.  They all went down really easily this morning!  Two mouthfuls of squash for each one of 'em which is amazing for the Calcium especially!

Gonna take the pup on her stroll now then come home to feed her then wait for the district nurse to come at about 11am!
***

Another 500% this morning, so the extra walkies bank balance is now 2000% after 4 days.  My maths is cruddy at the best of times, but if we do 450% on two days and 400% on the other day, that adds up to 1300 - right so far?  Then take off the 300% for the minimum length on those three days takes us to 1000 right?  Then add in the current balance of 2000 makes it 3000% extra after 7 days, yeah?  If that's right then my OCD will be happy lol
***

Just brushed me teeth again.  It's definitely the cafetierre coffee that's staining them 'cos I haven't had any so far today and me teeth are slightly whiter than they were yesterday morning, so maybe I just need to find a brand of coffee that doesn't stain them?
***

So proud of us this week!

We've not only had four home-cooked meals in four days and it's likely that tomorrow will be 5, as long as we've got enough cans of curry, but there are literally 6 individual items that are brand names, not Sainsbury's own brand things!

The shopping comes to pennies over £71 instead of the £78 that it was with just the brand name cakes on!  It's so much better value for money to get own brand things that usually taste exactly the same, literally the only difference seems to be the box it comes in!

Assuming that we have another home-cooked meal tomorrow, Steve'll definitely deserve his Creme Egg!
***

I'm gonna take me pills and head to bed now... I is totally wiped out!

Nite nite orl!

Wednesday 27 February 2019

Wednesday 27th February 2019

Just taken me supplements and I'm still on top of the world after yesterday's steps achievement!

Steve's got the district nurse coming out to see us about measuring his seat and we're having a late lunch/early tea ready for after she comes.  Tomorrow is about other ways to help him around the house.  I just hope they both like puppies 'cos they'll get sniffed and kissed endlessly by our pup!

Gonna go for a much shorter walk today.  500% tops so that we can both recover from yesterday's marathon walkies.
***

We did 400% on the senior puppy's walk today, which means there's a huge 1700% in the bank after 3 days.  There's no way that I could have walked any further today at all and as long as we do at least 400% again tomorrow, we'll be at a nice round 2000% then increase it slightly to 450% a day from Friday to Sunday will take us over 3000% in a week which is fantastic going by us!
***

The lady coming out to measure Steve's chair will be here at about 10.30am instead of lunchtime so we can both relax then and have our lunch at normal time instead of after lunch.

We're having jacket tatties, cheese and beans for lunch today 😋 ← that smiley looks like I'm sticking my tongue out at you, but Blogger describes it as "savouring delicious food" lol
***

That's the lady been and gone while I was in the bathroom lol  By the sounds of it, Steve'll be getting a cushion for his chair from the same place he got his chair from so that'll be cool and groovy.

We've got someone coming out to see us tomorrow as well, but apparently that's a more general thing, not just turning the bathroom into a wet room.  I had the same thing when I came out of hospital but there was very little they agreed to, so I'm hoping there will be more to help us tomorrow then Steve's going to his nurse appointment on Friday then we can relax... gonna be a busy week this week - hopefully it's worth it though!
***

Waaaay too much lunch.  It was yummy, but the tatties were a lot bigger than we're used to so I had to leave half of the second potato as well as some of the cheese and beans!  Should have had 3 between us, rather than 2 each lol
***

Written several more reviews on the Sainsbury's site, added more squash to Monday's order and took my prescription.

Steve filled up 4 litres of squash for me as my carer so I've just got my emails to read now then I can head to bed.  Not gonna be an early night again 'cos my body wakes up almost as soon as I start climbing the stairs lol
***

Goin' to bed now... bet I'll still be awake at 10pm though!  lol

Nite nite orl!  💤

*Ahem*

I only went and smashed my personal best AND the target I set myself by bed time last night!!!

My previous personal best was 1995 when the pup took me for the 1000% walk a couple of Saturday's ago and my target was 2000 steps.

Yesterday however, by bed time, I'd walked 2049 steps!!!

Feeling soooo proud of myself that I thought it deserved it's own post lol

Tuesday 26 February 2019

Tuesday 26th February 2019

Just got back from walking the pup.

A huuuuuuuge 750% this morning!!  😲

I was happy with 500% but the pup kept walking.

600% came and went.

As did 700%

We got to 750% and my legs were complaining so I had to put my foot down about coming back home, even though the pup wanted to keep walking.

If my legs hadn't got wobbly and I hadn't felt so unsteady, there was the potential for walking another 1000% today but when my body gets wobbly I know I can't safely push it any more and we have to get home so that I didn't collapse and have to crawl back home on my hands and knees.  Yep, totally serious.

I'm so proud of me an' the pup this morning though.  Great going by both of us!
***

That's me four supplements swallowed.  The Calcium took two mouthfuls to swallow but the other three were 1 gulp and they were down.  They all behaved for me this morning!  Yaay!  👍
***

Just done an extra 250% with the pup, so we've done another 1000% again, just in two parts this time and there's already 1300% extra in the bank after only 2 days. 1621 steps already too, so I'm hoping we'll get to 1750ish steps by bed time, but we've walked 1km already today which is awesome!
***

Pizza for lunch again... yummy and still at 100% with the cooking at home too which is great.

Gonna plug me fitness tracker in to charge it up while the pizza is cooking.  Hopefully I'll be able to put it back around my ankle before the pizza is cooked so that I can get an accurate reading on how many steps I've done today.
***

12.41pm and it's just started charging so hopefully it'll be fully charged by the time the pizza comes out of the oven.
***

1.47pm and it's finished charging so it takes just over an hour to go from one bar to full... wish I'd known that this morning lol

At 1756 steps now so I'm hoping I'll smash or at least hit 2000 steps today... it's just 244 steps in about 8 hours which is only 30 steps an hour, which is pretty much from here to the bathroom and back again... the deliveries will be here soon too, which'll be another 10 steps so it's looking more and more hopefully that I'll hit the target today even though I was in no way planning to lol
***

Iiiinteresting.  Just had an email from the director of a powerchair insurance company place about a post I made to this blog about the insurance policy back in 2017.  I'm having a look at the site now and insurance starts at £24 a year for Patrick.

I'm paying £87 a year atm and have made a single claim for a puncture a couple of years ago, that I reckon was when I made the blog post about it but I'm happy with my current insurer and don't mind paying so much for it because they were wonderful when I needed them so I'm not sure I'm willing to move just because of the cheaper price.

I'll ponder on it and see what I decide closer to the time.  I'm just glad that it's down from over £150 a year when I first bought the insurance!

You watch me forget now though lol
***

The box has just arrived and it's the exact size I wanted and was hoping to get yesterday.  Plenty of room for the Dolce Gusto (on sale atm, saving you 48% of it's normal price and it's on Prime too) chocochino and cortado bulk packs that I buy from Amazon and still room to mix them all up so that I don't have to decide which one I want to drink immediately lol
***

First survey of the day completed and prescription taken a third of the way through.
***

Second survey completed.  A very powerful one this time and I've just asked Steve to try and find the programme on the telly now to see if it was a one-off programme or if it was a series.  I'm hoping that it's a series!
***

Here's the page for the programme the survey was about.  Please do NOT watch it if it could trigger you and there's some swearing in it so it's prolly best to wait until young eyes and ears are asleep.  I've told Steve in no uncertain terms that I'll be out of the house with the pup instantly if he ever puts me through any kind of abuse like that and I hope that he would do the same with me if the situation was ever reversed.
***

Jam sandwiches for a late tea, then I'm off to bed... not getting an early night after all lol
***

Going to bed now... nite nite orl!

Product review: ADDIS 10 Litre Square Foodsaver

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

Perfect for the Chocochino and Cortado pods to go in and enough room to shake them about to mix them up which is exactly what I wanted.

There's a very strong smell of plastic as soon as you open the lid, so if you're using it for anything fresh that isn't factory sealed for freshness (home made cakes, sandwiches etc) then you'll definitely need to give it a long soak in water to get rid of the smell first, so that the food isn't overpowered by the smell, but if you're using it, like I am, for factory sealed food or drinks then it's good to go as soon as you open the box!

At the price I paid it for it, it's well worth the smell though and it's the exact size I wanted, so it's getting full marks from me!

Monday 25 February 2019

Monday 25th February 2019

Just uploaded the two spreadsheets to my disability page and the rubbish collection has just gone down to collect all the rubbish in the street, so I'll take the pup out when they've come back up.  In the meantime I'll take me four supplements so that I don't forget!
***

That's the four supplements taken - a wonderfully easy day for all of them this morning, thankfully!
***

I was wrong about the rubbish collection having gone down the street 'cos it's only just been and gone!  I'm gonna take the puppy dog out for our morning stroll now, before the recycling comes.  Both our recycling boxes are full this week but we haven't done anything different to what we usually do!
***

Just got back from our daily morning stroll, and our senior pup forced me to do 500% today!  I was happy to come home after 400% but the pup kept walking and forced me to do 100% more!!  Considering 400% is usually a struggle on Monday's and Tuesday's, she decided to push herself this morning!  Maybe she's recovered from our huuuuge walk 9 days ago and it's encouraged her to walk a little bit further at the start of each week?

I'm proud of her for doing an extra quarter of her walk today though... wonder if she'll want to do 500% for the rest of the week too?  We usually increase it by 50% a day on Tuesday and Wednesday but there's no way I'll be able to walk 600% on Wednesday through to Sunday so I hope the pup doesn't force me to!  Maybe she's trying to tell me she wants slightly longer walks again though?  As always, I'll take my lead from the pup after 400%.  I'd love to reach 750% just once in the next couple of weeks, but I won't force the pup or myself.

There's already 400% extra in the walkies bank which is the absolute minimum of four days walks after only one day.  If we do 500% every day this week there'll be a huge 2800% in the bank on Sunday, which won't please my OCD... we'll either have to do 50% less or 200% more lol
***

Just brushed me teeth.  I'm pondering on changing the mouthwash I use 'cos my teeth aren't as white as they were when I first started using it.  Might be coffee stains at fault instead of the mouthwash though?
***

That's the two recycling boxes brought in and Steve's taken them through to the kitchen 'cos I'm not tall enough to lift them over the vacuum cleaner so the door will go four more times between now and 9pm then that's it.  I'm waiting for a delivery that's due by 9pm, Steve's waiting for a delivery, Marie is coming over to help with the shopping then the last one is the groceries being delivered between 6pm and 7pm so it's all go today!
***

Steve's just promised to do Pasta Bake for us for lunch.  Yumsk!
***

That was an especially yummy Pasta Bake.  Steve's mum got us a big bag of pasta and 2 packets of grated cheese.  We had one of the bags of cheese with our cheesy chips on Saturday and the other packet on top of our pasta bake today.  It was more mature than we usually get so it was an added pow! 👊 today!

I was also wrong about what Steve had delivered today - the chocolate coffee beans up there 👆👆 are coming tomorrow, todays delivery was, apparently, American hard gums, which I can't stand because they are so hard and the rest of the week is going to be busier than I thought too!

Tomorrow really is the coffee beans, on Wednesday and Thursday Steve's got someone coming out to measure his chair for a pressure cushion and a general chat about possibly turning our bathroom into a wet room, which I really don't want because I've always loved baths and our bathroom is in no way wide enough for a bath to be put in alongside a shower.  The only reason we've got both atm is because the shower is over the bath and I've bought a shower stool to go under it because it's just not safe enough for me to stand up even for a quick shower!
***

Just tried to take 5 surveys.  I couldn't complete one because I couldn't remember which books I bought in January and the other four wanted to collect my IP address!  Steve said that they can't do anything with it unless it's a legal dooberry, so why do they want it then??

Tsk!
***

I was wrong about the hard gums too lol  Steve persuaded me to try one and promised that they weren't so hard they were crunchy, which is what I was thinking, they are hard compared to wine gums.  I'd say they were more chewy than hard though!
***

Just writtten a review of the container here on my blog and it's waiting to be approved on Amazon.  A disappointing 3 stars out of 5 from me.

I'm just glad that Steve can use it instead of me so that it isn't a total waste of money!
***

I've been wrong 3 times today.  I don't like being wrong, but I've got no problem admitting it and if necessary apologise when I am!
***

That's me prescription down the hatch.  All 5 pills have behaved today, which makes a very welcome change!
***

The prescription is kicking in so I'm gonna have an early night now.

Nite nite orl!

Product review - 2.2 litre plastic food container

⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

I bought this to store 100 coffee pods and thought there would be more than enough room for all of them and still room to shake them about to mix them up.

I was wrong.

So wrong.

It's not even big enough for half of them so I've had to invest in a 10 litre one which will, in theory be a better size.

Fortunately, my hubby bought a packet of sugary sweets that was delivered at the same time and they fit really nicely inside it with room to jiggly them around like I was hoping to do with the coffee pods.

Apparently, the seal works cos he turned it upside down and shook it over his head without getting any sugar granules in his hair, so he's happy and I haven't wasted my money.

It's expensive for its size though 'cos the 10-litre one I've just bought only cost £1 more for just over 4 times the volume!

If you're sure you only need 2 litres then get this, just please make sure you check the size of it 'cos I wish I had done now!

Sunday 24 February 2019

Sunday 24th February 2019 - part 2

Took my prescription literally a couple of minutes before our tea came to the door and my eyes were bigger than me belly again.  Had potato twisters and a veggie lasagne.  I was full by the time I'd got through about half of the lasagne but I didn't want to waste it so scoffed the second half and I'm totally bloated now.
***

Had to reboot the whole laptop 3 times to get an internet connection back since uninstalling and reinstalling Visual Studio.

I've had enough for the day now so I'm heading to bed now for an early night.  Hopefully tomorrow will go better than this evening!

Nite nite again orl!  💤

Sunday 24th February 2019

The virus scan finished at midnight.

Still virus and malware free.

Gonna take me supplements, do the backup and take the pup for her walk in that order now.
***

The supplements are taken now.  The Calcium crumbs mostly behaved and stayed in one place and the other three went down really easily, thankfully.
***

That's the puppy walked and my teeth brushed so I'm just waiting for the back-up to finish now.

We walked 400% this morning which means... hold on, gotta check the bank balance... back now.  There's 2750% in the bank which is awesome!  My OCD is happy so I'll hopefully have an easy time of it anxiety-wise today!
***

Back-up's just finished so I've put it away for another week now.  I can shut my laptop down for a well-deserved break at lunchtime.  Hoping for pasta 'n' sauce for a change now that we've got a 3kg bag of pasta in the kitchen.
***

Almost forgot about the rubbish and recycling!  Need to clear up the pup's poo and empty my bin and the bathroom bin too today 'cos both bins are overflowing!
***

That's both bins emptied, the pup's poo cleared up and the rubbish and recycling outside ready for the morning.  No arguments at all this week!  I asked Steve to empty the bathroom bin while he was in there, he asked me to take the rubbish bag down the hall and out into the collection point, I scraped up the poo and Steve held the bag open for me... pure teamwork this week!  😃Yaaay!  😀
***

We're having one last take away for tea then Steve's promised that we'll have home-cooked meals every day next week.  We shall see.  I don't mind having take-aways as treats, but I want more home-cooked meals than take-aways is all.  This'll be our third take away this week, but that's 4 home-cooked meals, so as long as we don't have any more than that I'll try not to be "controversial" (to quote Steve) about it.

I'm going down the healthier route and having a veggie lasagne and Steve's decided to have pizza.
***

The shopping, with several big brand treats (cakes, chocolate etc) comes to £70.04 which is fine by me.  Steve's found his favourite chocolate (Cadbury's Creme Eggs) for 50p each, so I've promised him that he can add 2 to the shopping but he's not allowed them until Friday and we have to have home-cooked meals every day next week.

He's agreed.

I'll be keeping them in the bedroom so that he can't have a sneaky lick then wrap them back up again lol  They are waaay too sweet for me so as long as we have a home-cooked meal every day, he's allowed to devour them after we've eaten on Friday.

He's just agreed to having one on Friday if we have home-cooked meals every day during next week and the other on Sunday if we have come-cooked both days of the weekend too.  Bribery and corruption at it's finest lol  😆
***

Just taken off my chocolate and the muffins then added a box of 12 Creme Eggs to the order 'cos it was too good to pass up.

Why?

Individual eggs were 50p each.

The box of 12 was £4.

Quick bit of maffs for you - feel free to tell me if my sums are wrong!

50p x 8 = £4, yeah?

12-8=4, right?

So by getting the box of 12, I'm getting 4 free which is ⅓ free, correct?

I'll use the box for further bribery of Steve when they're delivered tomorrow lol  The box of 12 is 6 weeks worth of bribery which ain't bad going for £4 - under £1 a week and potentially 6 weeks of home-cooked meals every day!

😘 😍 😲 👌
It'll save about £20 per take-away which is getting on for £100 a month that we can spend on brand name food or paying off more of the mortgage or whatever.  £20 a week doen't sound like much, but if we do it just once a week for a year, that's £1040 a year which would take a nice chunk extra off the mortgage and if we did it every year then we'd be able to pay the mortgage off a bit earlier too!

We can soo do this... it's just a case of breaking another bad habit is all!
***

Steve's just made a very good point - we don't smoke, drink, go on holidays or have a car so take-aways are our guilty pleasure.  Seeing it like that, it's not so bad that we have a take-away a week I suppose!
***

Uninstalling and hopefully reinstalling Visual Studio so that it's taken out of it's current location where it takes getting on for 20 minutes just to back up that one folder a week (I set it backing up as soon as I came down this morning, walked the pup for about 15 minutes then came home.  There was still 8 minutes left of the backing up even then!  Same as every weekend) then I'll reinstall it into the Program Files bit and hopefully get it all set up again ready for me to upload the new version to the members area on my writing site and hope that it still works!
***

That's Visual Studio sorted in hopefully the right place this time!  lol
***

Potato Twisters and veggie lasagne for tea today... can't wait!
***

Gonna shut down until I've had me tea then might come back on for a short second part, but no guarantees, so I'll say nite nite orl now just in case.  💤
***

Saturday 23 February 2019

Saturday 23rd February 2019

Virus scan has sped through to 59% overnight so I'm gonna take me supplements, walk the pup and take it from there 'cos the battery is only slightly warm so don't think it'll matter if I don't give it a rest today.
***

T'was an OKish morning taking the supplements... only the Iron truly behaved impeccably.  The Calcium crumbs went everywhere, the B12 melted and the Multi decided it wanted to play tricks on me  😑

Time for the puppy-dog's morning stroll now.

BBS!
***

Our senior puppy decided to force me to do a huuuuge 700% today!  She wanted to do more but my legs were saying "go home now before we collapse on you" so I didn't want to risk it.

There's 2450% extra in the walkies bank after 6 days, so we only need to do 400% in total for the extra bank to reach 2750% which'll make my OCD happy.
***

I swear our clever puppy knows that a week has 7 days and she counts each of those 7 days 'cos every Monday and Tuesday we struggle to reach 400% a day but Wednesday onwards we regularly reach 500% then at the weekend she pushes me to test my boundaries just a little bit each day of the weekend.

It's like I push her at the start of the week, we compromise during the middle of the week, then she pushes me at the weekend.  When we did the 1000% that was on a Saturday, she pushed me to do 700% today and I reckon she'll try and push me a little bit tomorrow, but come Monday morning she'll want to come home after 400% again!

Such a clever senior baby girl!
***

62% on the virus scan now, so it's done 3% in the last hour and a half.  That's better than before I went to bed last night but it'll still take just over 6½ hours to complete which is about 7pm tonight!  I'll still have back-ups to do before I go to bed too!
***

Nope, my maffs was wrong up there ^^^.  It's 10.17am right now, add on the six and a half hours takes it to 16.47 plus the little bit over the half hour takes us to 17.00 for easy calculations which is 5pm, not 7pm lol.  Means I can have a well-deserved early night tonight... bet I'll still be awake at 10pm even if I'm in bed though lol
 ***

Onto my second Cortado of the day already lol.  At least I'll be awake and ready for me tea after the rugby finishes!
***

1147 steps already and I've only been awake for 2 hours so I'm hoping I'll make it to at least 1500 steps today, if not the magic target of 2000!

I can so do this today!  Feeling really hopeful and positive right now!
***

What an awesome book!  I can totally see why it's won a well-deserved award.  It's rare that I find a book that draws me in as much as this one did... so much better than Harry Potter was!  I know that may not seem believable, considering how world-widely popular Harry Potter was, but at times I found that series to be like wading through thick treacle.

Not this book.

I was hooked for 3 complete days and it's got a very well-deserved 5 stars from me!
***

That's the tutorial written with, of course, screenshots of every step and there's 7% left of the virus scan, but I'm cream crackered so I'm gonna publish this then head to bed.

Already done 1408 steps today, so it's no wonder I'm so wiped out and doing 700% on this morning's walk with the pup.

Right, heading to bed now.  Nite nite orl!
***

Friday 22 February 2019

Friday 22nd February 2019

That's me supplements taken.  They mostly went down OK - the Calcium took four mouthfuls of squash to get rid of all the crumbs and the other 3 took two mouthfuls each so it wasn't the best but far from the worst too.
***

Had to restart my likkle laptop 3 times after it decided to freeze up on me.  Doing a quick scan now then start off the deep one again when it's finished.
***

500% with our senior baby girl this morning for the third time this week.  Yesterday I did exactly 1250 steps so I posted about it to Facebook, feeling particularly proud of myself!  My OCD was happy too!
***

11am and I've just had to start the virus scan yet again... means it'll be finished just before I come down tomorrow, so I'll back everything up again then turn me laptop off while I take the pup out for her daily stroll to let the battery cool down a bit, then turn it back on as soon as I remember.  Might be a later start in the morning, but that's OK 'cos it's only once a week.
***

An hour later and we're at 26% instead of the usual 11% on the deep virus scan!!
***

Marie's just dropped off the cheese and dried pasta, so we can have pasta bake again now!  Yaaaay!
***

That's me teeth brushed and we've decided what we're having for tea... chippy chips.  Our weekly treat!
***

Had 2 pickled eggs, onion rings and a can of cherry pop.  Wiped out now, so I'm off to bed.  Nite nite orl.
***

Thursday 21 February 2019

Thursday 21 February 2019

That's the supplements down the hatch and Steve's new mug arrived while she was having a poo, so I'm just waiting for the Cortado pods to arrive now!
***

Time for the pup's walk now, as soon as Steve comes back into the room so that he can answer the door if it goes while I'm out with our senior pup.
***

Just worked out that I spent £115 this month that I won't be spending in March, so I'll be able to put that into my savings from March to May then our anniversary gift and my mum's birthday gift in June then July to September I can put the money into my savings again, October are 2 birthdays which'll mean I can't put any into my savings then November and December will be saving up for Yule gifts.

You watch the money go onto the groceries rather than into my savings though lol.  £75 a week on the shopping will eat up the potential savings and it's only a tenner more a week than I'm currently shelling out so I reckon I'll have £100 in my savings by the end of the year rather than each month!  😲
***

Brushed me teeth and lunch is pretty much ready, so I'll save this post then put me laptop on the floor and go and get it.
***

That's the Cortado pods just arrived too, so I'll be making good use of those after late nights and when I'm feeling particularly tired first thing.  Steve said he's never tried Cortado before so there's no excuse not to any more now that I've got 50 of 'em and about 40 Chocochino's left! lol
***

Cheese 'n' onion rolls and chips for lunch again but with brown sauce squeezed over them this time.  The sauce wasn't as spicy as I remembered the brand names being and the first taste that hit me was sweetness which was a bit weird, but by the time I'd finished eating a few chips I was used to it and it didn't surprise me any more.  It'd be perfect if it was less sugary and a bit spicier, but for 45p I'm not complaining at all!
***

Steve's just had his first couple of sips of the Cortado coffee and he seemed to be impressed with the flavour.

I'm still impressed by how quickly the water heats up in the machine lol  Cold to really hot in exactly 30 seconds (yes, I counted this time lol).
***

Just left an Amazon review for the box of Cortado's and Steve's mug.
***

Just taken me prescription and I just have to get back to this book... there will be a review on my writing blog and Amazon hopefully by the weekend, so keep your eyes peeled!
***

Gonna publish this now so that I can keep reading.  Nite nite orl!

Wednesday 20 February 2019

Wednesday 20th February 2019

The puppy was an awesome girl on her walk this morning... 500% in one part!  She wanted to keep walking but my legs said not to risk it so we came home instead.  Might take her out again later, maybe after lunch, if my legs have recovered in time and she wants to.
***

Just taken me supplements and other than the B12 semi melting a little bit, all four pills behaved today, thankfully.

Going to have a mug of the new cafetierre coffee that came with the shopping on Monday evening... hopefully it's the same as we usually get, just in different packaging - we shall soon find out!
***

2 small jacket tatties, grated cheese and baked beans for lunch today.  Yummy scrummy in my tummy!
***

Just taken me prescription - went down really easily tonight!
***

Shutting down now, so it's been a relatively quiet day blog-posting wise!

Nite nite orl!

Tuesday 19 February 2019

Tuesday 19th February 2019

Just taken me supplements.  They weren't easy to take but they were far from difficult either.  I'm bloated with squash now though lol
***

Time to take the puppy for our morning stroll now.  BBS!
***

Back now.  Another 400% this morning and it was the puppy decided on the length today. 'cos she got to the front door and put her brakes on bless her.  I'm not going to force her if she really doesn't want to walk any further... it's good to push each other occasionally, like we did on Saturday but we both need to recover this week 'cos I dunno about the pup, but my knees are aching now that I've sat down.
***

Just completed the first survey of the day.
***

Ordered meself a box/bag of cortado pods that'll be here on Friday and a large tea/coffee mug for Steve so that he doesn't have to use my chipped one 'cos he can't be bovvered to find his own large mug.  That'll be here between Saturday and Tuesday so that we can both drink a litre of cafetierre coffee between us and I'll be able to have instant wake-ups after when I've got the cortado pods in me sticky lil hands!
***

Second one done and dusted... that one took less than 5 minutes from start to finish and I'll be getting up to 95 American cents for it which is really good going for such a quick survey... it'll prolly be more like 10 cents though lol
***

Third survey finished - this one was about food and my diet by a big UK company... just knowing that my opinion is being taken seriously is fantastic!  Makes me want to change to them for my weekly shop now... wanna be sure that the products are actually on the shelves first though!
***

Fourth survey completed
***

Goin' to bed now... nitey nite orl!
***

Monday 18 February 2019

Monday 18th February 2019

Took my supplements without any kind of issue this morning... they all went down with a single mouthful of squash, even the Calcium!
***

Put last week's spreadsheet onto the disability page on my site and then took the pup for her morning stroll.
***

450% today.  The pup wanted to keep walking but that just wouldn't have been safe for me so we came home.  500% max on our morning strolls this week.
***

Just had a phone call from our mortgage company.  Apparently they sent a letter back in December about our mortgage, but we never got it so they are going to re-send it.

It's got me worried now!!
***

Almost forgot to brush me teeth this morning!  It was only because I saw toothpaste advertised that reminded me lol
***

Just worked out why we couldn't see the Amazon images on my site... we've both got ad blockers installed on our browsers lol  The software obviously works then!  lol
***

First survey of the day completed.
***

Second survey done and dusted... this one was about our pup!  Yaaay!  😁
***

That's me prescription taken.
***

Third survey sorted.
***

Just taken 6 surveys on just one site but I'm cream crackered now so I'm off to bed.

Nite nite orl!
***

Need your help with something if that's OK?

Can one (or, if possible, several) of my regular blog readers go to my book reviews page and tell me if you get the images immediately above each rating to show up please?  When I look at the page in Chrome, the images don't show up for me, but they do in Firefox.  The hubby has just looked for them in Firefox and they aren't showing up for him.

There should be an Amazon image showing the cover of each book, it's title and price immediately above each star rating I've given it... could you let me know which browser you're using and if you see the Amazon image in reply to this pretty please?

TIA!

Sunday 17 February 2019

Sunday 17th February 2019

Just taken me supplements.  The Calcium crumbs sort of behaved, the Iron melted, the B12 went for a walk around my mouth and the Multi got semi-stuck half way down my throat, so it wasn't the best ever to take them but it's also a lot better than some days!
***

200% on the puppy's walk means that we've done 3500% extra this week which is over a month's worth of walkies in the bank in only 7 days!!

Next week will be short walks again so that we can both recover from yesterday and then the week after will be 500% a day.
***

That's the rubbish and recycling taken out and the puppies poo cleared up out of the back yard.

No arguements again this week, thankfully  👌.  Steve even cleared the pasta bake jars off the side too because there was so little in the recycling this week!
***

After yesterday's marathon I was still 5 steps off the target of 2000 steps a day which I can only assume is because I side-step a lot.  If I can get out of that habit I'll be close to the target every day and yesterday might even have been 2500 steps too!

Gonna go and brush my teeth now, then relax and recover for the rest of the day.  Hopefully remember not to side step while I'm in the bathroom lol
***

That's me teeth brushed now and there was something else I thought of while I was brushing them that I've forgotten now  😞
***

Cake and crisps for lunch today and pasta bake for lunch tomorrow.  Gonna add some jars of pasta sauce to the shopping so that we can have that next week for a change.
***

Just been to the bathroom and back.  Only side-stepped twice this time instead of every step so, like with brushing my teeth and walking the pup, I just need to break the habit and replace it with a better one.  If it's like with brushing my teeth and taking me supplements, it'll take a week of me going "don't side-step, walk straight" to myself in my head the whole time I'm on my feet and keep reminding myself of it.

I achieve it every day if I don't side-step, I just need to break the habit!  Maybe I could get some kind of reward for every day I don't side-step?  Like with counting the percents with the pup, posting in here with my supplements and posting to Facebook every night I do over 1000 steps?  It doesn't have to be edible or even cost anything, just something I can celebrate with each day I achieve it is all.  Needs to be something I don't already do though.
***

That's what I'll do!  Like I post about taking me supplements every day, I'll post every time I walk without side-stepping and reward myself with an early night for every day that I side-step less than 10 times throughout the entire day!

I'm allowed 8 more side-steps in the next 11 hours... or should I start off with allowing myself 15 side steps a day?  Reduce it by a single allowable side-step a week or something, like I do with increasing the pup's walks?

Yep, that's my reward, I'm allowed 15 side-steps a day and for every day that I manage it I'll post to Facebook about it before I fall asleep, like I do with the steps.
***

Steve's just updated the spreadsheet for me so that I can record the number of side-steps I do as I go along, just like I do with the pup.

I'm allowed another 10 side-steps now then it'll officially start tomorrow and every day I get under 15 side-steps I'll celebrate on Facebook in the same post as the one with the number of steps I do.

Might increase the number of steps post to 1250 or even 1500 a day, just to really push myself next week  👌
***

Yep, 1250 and under 15 side-steps is my Facebook reward next week.  I didn't achieve that twice last week and hopefully by not doing side steps my daily count will increase too.  That's my reward for not side-stepping and getting the daily steps increased and it won't bore my friends so much either lol
***

Got both spreadsheets on my phone now so just need to keep updating the side-stepping one as well as the walk percentages now!  It'll take a few days for it to lodge into my nightly routine and I'll need to remember to put both on my disability page too, but I'll get there soon, I'm sure.
***

3 more side steps makes 10 since I came back with the puppy and decided to do it, but that's at least 5 side steps more than there will be on Tuesday 'cos I won't be taking the rubbish or recycling out or bringing the bag and box in with me then... it's just Sundays and Mondays that have more walking and shuffling around than the rest of the week so Tuesday to Saturday will give a more accurate reading of both the steps and side-stepping.
***

Going to shut down for the night now 'cos I'm totally cream crackered!

Nite nite orl!
***

Saturday 16 February 2019

Saturday 16th February 2019 - part 2

Just taken our plates out to the kitchen and the pasta bake was more yummy than normal - all the pasta was covered in thick sauce and the cheese had melted just enough to be edible without getting stuck around my tonsils and making me retch.

1715 steps today, so just got 285 steps to go by the time I head to bed... just gotta remember not to side-step so that every one is counted!
***

I'm the only one in this house who's awake atm!  lol
***

First survey of the day done and dusted.
***

That's my prescription taken and I'm trying to find an image to use in the shop now and not getting very far, annoyingly!
***

I gave up with the images in the end.  The 3 new products are in the shop but hidden from view until Steve does what he needs to do now, so I've just saved myself £100!
***

I'm gonna crawl up to bed now... I think I deserve it after this morning!

Nite nite orl!
***

Saturday 16th February 2019

Been awake since just gone 4am because I needed a wee, then couldn't get back to sleep!

The virus scan finished at about 6am and didn't find any nasties so I'm in the process of backing everything up now, hopefully without sending my blood pressure through the roof this week!

The documents back-up always takes forever and this week is no exception - 7½ hours to go atm lol
***

Just read and replied to all the forum messages and there's only 3 minutes left to go on the backup now so the 7½ hours was more like half an hour!  lol
***

That's everything backed up first time without my blood pressure going through the roof this week.  Took just under an hour from start to finish  😌
***

Just brushed me teeth, so I'm gonna take me supplements now so that I don't forget again!
***

Supplements taken now.  The Calcium crumbs went everywhere, the Iron took 3 mouthfuls of squash to swallow and the B12 and Multi took 2 each.  Not a good pill-taking day today, apparently.
***

One

Thousand

Percent!!!

That's not a typo - it's an all-time record for the pup and I.

OK, so it's only 250 metres which most people wouldn't blink at, but for us it's like walking a marathon!

It'll definitely be a short walk tomorrow... it just won't be safe to walk much more than 250% after this morning's marathon walkies.

The extra walkies bank balance is now a huuuuge 3400% so we only need to walk 200% tomorrow for my OCD to be happy.

Be interesting to see what the steps count comes to tonight... hopefully I'll hit the magic 2000 steps now.  Let's see what the current total is - brb!
***

1518 and it's only 10.30am, so it's looking good 'cos there's less than 500 steps in 11½ hours which is about 45 steps an hour so I just need to keep going to the bathroom and kitchen and back into the living room to achieve it.  It's less than a step a minute and judging by my bladder this morning, I'll achieve that with no problem lol
***

We now have forks... a grand total of 15 for our lunch (pasta bake apparently 🍴)  😋  A well-deserved celebratory meal.
***

Shutting down now so that I'm not rushed when our pasta bake is cooked.  I'll be back this afternoon, just don't know how chatty I'll be is all.

TTYS!
***

Friday 15 February 2019

Friday 15th February 2019

Just got back from the pup's walk.  500% so far, which takes the extra's bank up to 2150% after 5 days, but I'm hoping we'll go out again later on when the pup has recovered.  I'd like to do another 350% to take the bank account up to 2500% but I'm not going to force her if she really doesn't want to 'cos that'll be the furthest we've walked since we first got her and she had more energy because she was a young, spritely little girl almost 9 years ago!

She poo'd on our walk this morning, which I dutifully picked up, but it's made me really shaky and unsteady on my feet for a while now so I need to recover too.
***

Steve's got a medical appointment again today (it's every Friday for the time being) so it'll be a late lunch/early tea today so that he can "just sit out there for 20 minutes" and it'll be "something and chips again 'cos they are nice and easy to do" which is fine by me!
***

Just been for part two of the pup's walk and we did 350% so the extra walkies bank balance is now at 2500% after only 5 days!!

We'll both sleep well tonight!  lol

So proud of us both for smashing our previous record of percentage walks in a day by doing 850% today, which is 100% more than our previous personal best in a day.

Assuming we do 600% both days of the weekend, we'll be at 3000% again, which is awesome!

I want to try and increase our daily walks to at least 500% every morning, but I would prefer 600% for ease of maths lol
***

Celebrating the 850% walk with a gorgeous Dolce Gusto (£36 off atm too!) Chocochino (no milk pods, but if you prefer milk, these are the chocochino milk pods to go with the chocochino pods up there ^^ but I've got no experience of them because of my dairy allergy)... I'd forgotten just how gorgeous they were!
***

1715 steps now so I doubt I'll walk 285 steps before I head to bed, but that's OK as long as I hit 1750!
***

That's me prescription taken and I'm still full from lunch lol.  Forgot to take me supplements this morning and it's too late now so I've set up a reminder on my phone for that too lol
***

Can't stop yawning, so I'm having an early night.  See you all tomorrow.

Nite nite orl!

Thursday 14 February 2019

Thursday 14th February 2019

Happy Valentine's Day to those who celebrate it!  💕
***

Our senior puppy forced me to walk a huge 650% today so there's 1750% extra in the walkies bank after only 4 days!  It's also 100% more than yesterday, 200% more than Monday and only 100% off our current record of 750% in one day!  If we carry on at this rate, there will be 3500% in the bank by the time we come back on Sunday.

I'd love to hit the 3000% but if we do 650% every day from tomorrow to Sunday, we'll totally smash it!  I'm not going to pressure our pup to do any more than 100% every day if she really doesn't want to though.  She's  a senior girl with short legs so I don't want her to feel like she has to walk the human equivalent of a marathon every day.

She met our neighbour and her two daughters who came out of their house pretty much as soon as we did.  Mitzi's little tail was wagging into oblivion but they were very nervous around her, bless them.  It's totally natural to be nervous around new dogs, especially the first few times you meet them so hopefully they won't be quite as nervous next time and as they meet her more regularly they will slowly build up confidence that she won't hurt them.  She's a friendly pup who just wants to make friends with everyone but we need to take it at the children's pace so that they don't grow up being scared of dogs.
***

I've brushed me teeth and had my first mug of coffee of the day, so just need to take me supplements now.

BRB
***

That's me supplements down the hatch... they were all a nightmare to swallow so I'm bloated from all the squash I had to drink now!  😞
***

From Mitzi on Valentine's Day!  lol

***

First survey of the day completed.
***

I'm being paid PIP tomorrow and that's when most of my bills come out too, but when all my February bills have come out and £60 a week for the shopping, I'll have £144 left over in my account and I'm paid ESA again in 2 weeks which'll take it to over £300 which'll take me up to the end of February then my March pay days will cover my bills so the £300 will cover the shopping throughout March and I can give most of the rest to Steve for a month's mortgage on top of the electricity that I pay for as part of my monthly bills which ain't bad going at all.

I've also spent £75 this month on annual bills which I won't spend in March so that's even more that I can use to help with the mortgage too!

Feeling sooo proud of myself right now!
***

Steve's just said that he might be a bit short at the end of February so I can help him out with the £300 which will pretty much cover the mortgage or whatever else needs to be paid.  I'm far from rolling in it, but I can help Steve out this month so I'll move the money I've already got in my account over tomorrow and again on my next ESA pay day.  It's not much, but it's better than nothing!
***

That's me prescription taken now so hopefully I won't forget and take them again by accident lol
***

Just taken another survey, but doubt I'll be paid for it 'cos the default page saying you get paid in 3-7 days didn't appear, so I've potentially just wasted over an hour on a survey for nothing!  😠
***

Gonna have an early night now, which is well deserved after this morning's marathon!

Nite nite orl!
***

Wednesday 13 February 2019

Wednesday 13th February 2019

We did 550% this morning and the puppy poo'd on the walk so she didn't get a biscuit when we got home.  Means that there's 1200% in the walkies bank already.  After only 3 days!
***

Brushed me teeth, so it's time for the supplements now!
***

That's the supplements swallowed.  They all went down OK this morning but the Iron disintegrated as soon as I put it in my mouth... no liquid at all!
***

D's going in to hospital as an out-patient for the next 5 hours... she's in my thoughts and prayers!  Hope that the laser helps her and that the doctor doing it can help her.  It's her last chance!  😟
***

First survey of the day completed.
***

For those who are struggling right now:

***

We've got a rescued senior puppy that I walk and feed every morning.

Most days I'm fine with that, as long as I don't go over 400% a day with her.

My ankles start to swell up at 450% but I can get away with still wearing me socks and boots, just about, until I take them off and crawl into bed.

We did 550% this morning and my ankles are now so swollen that there is a deep groove around the fitness tracker that has caused 4 deep grooves into my ankle, my socks are digging in and my boots are too tight to wear now.

It's bad enough that I'm unsteady on my feet and walk with a quad cane even on my best days, but now that I'm over 40 I get swollen ankles too!  I'm only just middle-aged so why can't it sneak up on me gently instead of hitting me like a tonne of bricks?

I want to make 500% a day our new normal, but I really don't want swollen ankles every day as a result of it!
***

1282 steps so far today and I've just taken my prescription, so maybe the reason my ankles are swollen is because I've just done waaay too many steps today?  Last time my ankles swelled up like this was a couple of weeks ago when I did 700% with the pup, two days on the trot.  Maybe I'm pushing myself too far, too fast?
***

Taken me prescription now, so it'll be another late to wake up morning tomorrow 😒
***

Going to bed now... nite nite orl!
***

Tuesday 12 February 2019

Tuesday 12th February 2019

That's the puppy walked - just 250% so far but I'm hoping for another 250% later on.
***

Puppy fed too... and she's been out for a poo, so just need to brush me teeth and take me supplements now.
***

Teeth brushed so it's time for me supplements now then hopefully walking the puppy another 250% and pizza for lunch today.
***

Supplements taken, so time to walk the puppy again now while Steve puts the pizza's in the oven.  Hopefully we'll be home just before the pizza's are taken out of the oven so that I can shut down and put my laptop on the floor so that there's room for the plate.

BBS!
***

Just done another 250% so that's 500% today.  So let's do a quick bit of maths... yesterday's 350% extra + today's 400% extra = 750% extra in the bank, aka a week's worth of walks, after only two days which is awesome!  Wanna try and do 500% a day in two parts for at least the rest of this week, hopefully for the future too but I'm not going to pressure the pup if she doesn't want to do that.
***

Had me pizza... a bit crunchier than I like but apparently that's because it had a thin base.  I'm not complaining at all - I'm sooo grateful for every home-cooked meal Steve makes for me!  Apparently we've got 2 packets of grated cheese to use this week, so one meal will be pasta bake and the second one will prolly be pasta bake again or maybe pasta 'n' sauce with the cheese sprinkled over the top or toasted cheese sarnies or something like that?
***

Just created a website and blog for a friend, so I've had a pretty productive day, haven't I?!

Steve made me a mug of tea before remembering that I'd asked for a mug of hot water and a spoon so that I could make my hot coconut drink to try and make a dent in the huge jar of coconut that I bought about 6-8 months ago lol
***

That's me prescription taken... coconut and squash swallowed pretty soon after each other doesn't actually taste too bad to me!
***

Heading to bed now.  Nite nite orl!
***

Monday 11 February 2019

Monday 11th February 2019

Puppy walked and fed, rubbish bag brought in, brushed me teeth and last week's spreadsheet sorted.  Just waiting for the recycling to be picked up so that I can bring the box in then that's me sorted for the day.

Gonna take me supplements now then check Facebook, the forum and do a few surveys.
***

That's the supplements swallowed.  The Calcium crumbs went everywhere and the B12 disintegrated but the Iron and Multi were fine and dandy.  Finished off the squash in one bottle and had a couple of mouthfuls of the second one.  Asked my carer to fill the empty bottle up either today or tomorrow, so let's see how long it takes him this time!
***

Just done an extra 200% with our senior baby girl so we're at 450% total and 350% in the bank... just gotta remember that tomorrow now lol
***

1024 steps so far today and it's not quite 4.15pm so I'm hoping I'll make it to 1250 steps by bed time which would be awesome!
***

Just taken my prescription and need a wee now!  lol

Steve did the squash for me a couple of hours after I asked him... a new record!
***

Can't stop yawning, so I'm off to bed now.

Nite nite orl!  💤
***

Sunday 10 February 2019

Sunday 10th February 2019

The puppy forced me to do 450% today, so after 7 days there's 1750% extra in the walkies bank which is awesome!

Hopefully back to doing 400% a day next week then make that our new normal.  I needed to recover from last week's walkathon this week, but increasing the daily walkies from 100% to 400% a day in a few of months with a senior pup and a wobbly owner is awesome!
***

Brushed me teeth so it's time for me supplements now.  Everything is backed up, just moving last week's OneDrive documents onto the external hard drive then that's me sorted for the day!
***

Gotta remember to come up with a tutorial for starting and posting to a blog for someone on one of the forum's I'm with.  You watch me forget though!  lol
***

That's me supplements swallowed.  Back to being nice and easy again today, thankfully.

Onto checking my email, Facebook and forum then onto writing the tutorial now.
***

Everything's on the external hard drive for another week and I've sorted my email (except the survey invites) too, so it's Facebook, forum then the tutorial.

I'm about to jinx things, but today is a good day for me so far... there were no arguments or even disagreements about the rubbish and recycling, the puppy walked a little bit extra, I did a total backup as well as moving over last weeks documents and my supplements went down nice and easily too.

My blood pressure is normal for me and my OCD is happy too.  It's not even lunchtime yet!
***

Just written the tutorial so I haven't got anything to do for the rest of the day now!  lol
***

Just sent that URL to D for her site.  She's changed the password so as soon as she lets me know what the new one is, I'll move her current blog post to a new section and link her Blogger blog to the correct link on the site.
***

Taken me prescription and I've done everything I wanted to do today.  I discovered that there are still two (free) courses that I want to take so I'm pondering on doing one tomorrow and the other on Tuesday... you watch me forget though lol
***

5 home-cooked meals in a week 'cos Steve's just made me a mug of instant soup.  I know many won't agree that it's a home-cooked meal, but no-one delivered it to the door so therefore it's been made at home which is all I want.

We're almost guaranteed to have another take-away tomorrow 'cos of the groceries getting delivered so Steve won't feel up to making food after that, but as long as we have more home-cooked/prepared meals than take aways that's all I want!

Thank you Steve!
***

A threat in my email has just been secured by AVG!
***

Another threat secured... they have both been from survey sites *sigh*
***

Third virus secured from a survey.  Not good.

Goin' to bed now... nite nite orl!

Saturday 9 February 2019

Saturday 9th February 2019

Walked the puppy 400% again this morning then came home and brushed my teeth and she went out for a poo so she got a biscuit.
***

The virus scan has done 9% in the last hour so it's gonna keep moving throughout the day now and it'll hopefully be finished in time for me to back it all up before I have me tea.
***

That's me supplements taken.  The Iron took two mouthfuls of squash to go down, so it was a touch difficult this morning, but the other 3 were fine, thankfully.
***

Virus scan is at 38% now so it's done 12% since I came downstairs and took the puppy out for her morning stroll.  There will prolly be a lot of messages counting the percentages today  lol
***

40% at 11.20am which is good going in the right direction now.
***

Got me squash bottle filled up so I'm all set for a few more days of pill-taking now.
***

42% now, so it's done 2% in 38 minutes.
***

Just seen an awesome YouTube video with a couple going swimming with wild dolphins and even better was that the company that organised the swim offered to let you go back for free if there weren't any dolphins to swim with.  Makes me wanna go to New Zealand just for that, even though I can't swim lol
***

Apparently the couple up there ^^ survive on what they make from adverts and sponsorship and stuff.  They live their life totally on the road so don't even have a job or anything!

I realise that I'll never earn enough to live on from my sites (navigation to all my current pages) but I'd like to get more visitors to my sites and blogs... I just don't know how!

That's where you, my valued regulars, come in... what do you want to see more of on my sites and blogs?  More video's?  More photo's?  Come on, give me your ideas and how you want me to credit you with the idea!
***

***

We're at 50% now, so it'll prolly be around about 7pmish that it's finished, but that's OK 'cos I'll back everything up while we're waiting for our tea to be delivered then shut down for the night so that I can eat in peace lol
***

60% at 6pm now... gonna be a loooong night!  I'm heading to bed in 4 hours so it's gotta do 10% an hour, which I doubt'll happen and I can guarantee that it'll finish soon after I go to sleep too so my likle laptop will be on for 3 days instead of the usual 2!  Not good  👎
***

That's my prescription taken and the virus scan has got an hour and a half to go until I head to bed.  Doubt it'll do 35% in 90 minutes so my laptop will be on for 3 days this week.  👎
***

Heading to bed for an early night now.  The virus scan has still got 33% left to do and I very much doubt it'll do that in 44 minutes so I'm having an early night and letting it chug along while I'm asleep.  I'll back everything up and shut down while I'm out with the pup tomorrow morning to let the battery cool down a bit then I'll start afresh again when we get home.

Nite nite orl!

Friday 8 February 2019

Friday 8th February 2019

Another 400% on the puppy's walk this morning so there's 1100% extra in the walkies bank now.  It's hosing it down with rain out there now though!

I've brushed me teeth and the virus scan has started so just need to take me supplements now.

BRB!

That's me supplements taken... feeling bloated with all the squash I had to use to swallow them today!

Just added another couple of pages to my homepage so make sure you do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) every time you visit so that you get the most up-to-date version of the site!
***

I can see in HD again now!  I've got my glasses back and I can see properly again at last!
***

Just had me tea... cheese and onion rolls and chips.  My rolls just need to go in for the last 10 minutes to heat them through instead of the 20 minutes it was in yesterday lol
***

Much weirdness... the weekly virus scan finished in under 12 hours for some reason!  Set it going again which means it should be finished by bed time tomorrow 'cos it usually takes about 20 hours, so will hopefully be finished at about 4pm or 5pm-ish tomorrow then I can do the back-ups and head to bed before 10pm.  The laptop got unplugged while I was putting it on the floor which is why it stopped I reckon.
***

Four home-cooked meals in 5 days is a new record for us and much healthier than take-aways every day!  I'd love to have a home-cooked meal tomorrow and Sunday too, but it's totally OK with me if we get a take-away instead... I just want mainly home-cooked meals is all - healthier and much cheaper 'cos one take away for three days costs about the same as a week's food from the Supermarket!

We've started off well, so hopefully Steve will continue to make meals at home for us from now on.
***

Having a well-deserved early night now... I'm absolutely wiped out!

Nite nite orl!

Thursday 7 February 2019

Thursday 7th February 2019

The puppy and I did 400% on our daily morning stroll then we came home and she poo'd in the back yard so she got a biscuit for being such a good girl.

Yesterday's bank balance of 500% plus today's 300% extra is 800% in four days which ain't bad going at all.  Hopefully it'll be 1100% tomorrow and 1500% by Sunday.  I'm gonna take my lead from the pup though and only walk as far as she wants to go.

I'm hoping I'll get my glasses back today so that my squint disappears again.  Apparently Marie is getting her eyes tested today, so hopefully they'll be ready and she brings them over for me at some point today.

Gotta go and brush me teeth then take my supplements now.
***

That's me teeth brushed, so time for me supplements then I can get on with the rest of my day.
***

That's the supplements taken.  Thankfully it was another easy day today.  Time to check the forums and Facebook, then I can get on with doing the surveys again.
***

Going to have another Espresso that's so strong it's only 2 up the scale from the bottom.  There's one more left that I can have that's the strongest on the scale but the rest have milk/cream in them, so Steve'll have to have those lol

When I'm paid on Monday I'm gonna get myself a bag of those other ones I had that I liked.

Just had my first cautious sip of the Espresso and while it's strong, it's weaker than I was thinking!
***

Vegan sausage rolls and chips for lunch today  😋.
***

My glasses aren't ready yet but they are hoping they will be dispatched from the menderers tomorrow... so much for Tuesday or Wednesday eh?
***

What a yummy lunch!  The vegan sausage roll was burnt but it still tasted fine and dandy and the chips went really well with it too!  Assuming Steve feels up to it tomorrow after his nurse appointment at lunchtime, we'll be having the same again, but with potato cubes instead of chips which is fine by me!  The vegan sausage roll tasted meaty so even Steve would have liked it if I'd let him at it! lol
***

Cleared both the browser cache's ready for tomorrow's virus scan and I'm gonna start it when Steve goes to his appointment at lunchtime instead of as soon as I come down 'cos, that way, in theory, it'll be finished either just before or just after I come down on Saturday morning then I can back everything up, walk the pup and relax for the rest of the day.
***

Just taken me prescription and I'm hoping for an earlyish night tonight but bet I'll still be awake until 10pm again!  😔
***

Going to bed now... nite nite orl!
***

Wednesday 6 February 2019

Wednesday 6 February 2019

We did 300% on our morning stroll today.  The puppy wanted to do more but I wasn't prepared to risk it after last week.  There's 500% in the bank now though.
***

Pasta bake for lunch or tea today... can't wait!  😋💚
***

Tomorrow I'm going to take my lead from the pup after we've done 250% 'cos she obviously wants longer walks now, after the Snickers last week so I'm just gonna take my lead from her from tomorrow, as long as my legs are up to it of course!  Doubt I'll be able to do much over 400% each day but I'll take my lead from the pup instead of forcing her to come home when she wants to walk further.  I'm gonna push myself, just not too much or too soon is all.
***

Just brushed me teeth so it's time for me supplements now.
***

That's me supplements swallowed.  Nice and easy again this morning, thankfully.
***

Just taken another video of our pup...

...still can't work out how to download it from WhatsApp though  👎  Totally reliant on sending it to Steve via WhatsApp then him putting it on a USB stick for me to use!

Expect to see lots of video's until I can work out how to do it!  😉 😕
***

That's the cheese on the pasta bake so lunch'll be ready in about 20 minutes  😋  Can't wait to dig in!
***

Oooh!  That was yummy!  🍴  There was more cheese than normal in the packet and wasn't as liquidey as it sometimes is, but there are two totally empty plates now!  The puppy is licking up the last tiny bits of sauce and cheese... she's our pre-wash cycle on things like pasta bake lol

There are two very full bellies and Steve and the pup will be snoring like good 'un's this afternoon!
***

Just ordered Steve's Valentine's Day pressie from VistaPrint and AVG wants to restart my laptop, so I'll BRB!
***

Back now!  Gonna try and do a few surveys now 'cos I can't remember what I was doing before I re-started lol
***

Going to bed now... nite nite orl!
***

Tuesday 5 February 2019

Tuesday 5 February 2019

Our senior pup walked 250% with me again this morning so there's now 300% in the bank.  We met another neighbour after 225% with two small children that Mitzi wanted to say hello to, but they were scared of her, bless them!  😕

She's been fed and watered now and poo'd out in the back yard before we went on our walk.

She's just jumped onto the sofa again too so she can do it without help!

Bless her little furry paws  💕
***

Supplements taken.  They all went down pretty easily today, thankfully.
***

That was more painful than it needed to be!  Got the photo and video of Steve and the pup on my laptop now though so I'll put them both below:

I apologise for the loud noises at the end of this video, t'was me clearing my throat I think.

Just need to remember how to do it if there's a next time lol
***

Just had me pizza 🍕 - yummy scrummy in my tummy.  Can't wait for the rest of the week's home cooked meals... I'm drooling 😋 already lol
***

Depending on how Steve feels when he gets back from the nurse on Friday, the "make-do meal" will be warmed up vegan sausage roll and potato cubes 😋.  Assuming we have home-cooked meals for the rest of the week, I promise not to be grumpy about having take-aways on Saturday to Monday inclusive.
***

Just taken my prescription and I'm absolutely cream crackered still, after last week so it's just short walks this week and back to the 400% next week as long me and the pup feel up to it, which'll be about 100 metres a day.  We're certainly not going to make last week's 3700% in 7 days a regular thing, but as long as there's 1500% in the bank at the end of each week, I'll be happy with that.

Neither of us are getting any younger and we both need to lose a bit of weight, so a gentle 400% each morning, as slow as we both need to go, will hopefully start to shift that extra weight we both need to lose.  I'm sure we'll both get there in the end as long as we take things slowly and only push ourselves occasionally and let each other recover afterwards.
***

I'm gonna shut down and head to bed in a bit, so I'll say nite nite to you all now!  Thank you so much for reading my daily thoughts and opinions... each and every visit and read mean the world to me.
***

Monday 4 February 2019

Meals this week will be...

With absolutely no pressure from me, Steve's just said that this week's meals will be:

Tonight:  Chippy chips
Tomorrow:  Pizza (apparently they wouldn't fit into either freezer so they are defrosting in the fridge atm and need to be eaten tomorrow so that they don't go off)
Wednesday:  Pasta bake
Thursday:  veggie (for me)/meat (for him) sausages and chips
Friday:  "Make-do meal"

Basically, other than tonight, the whole week will be home cooked meals!  Yaaaay! I'm drooling already lol

Monday 4th February 2019

Took the pup for her morning stroll.  Did 250% today so nowhere near what we achieved last week, but I wasn't intending to do 400% every day this week.  We need to recover from last week so we're gonna have a week of shorter walks.  Doubt we'll get much over 1000% in total extra's this week but that's totally OK after doing 3000% extra last week.  In 7 days we walked just over 3.5km together which is awesome but we won't be going anywhere near that far this week... just getting to 1000% will be an achievement for us.

Today's 250% means that we start the week off with 150% in the bank.  If we do that every day, there will be 1050% in the bank on Sunday, which is cool and groovy.

Don't suppose any of my readers are parents are they?

If you are, do you read stories to your children from websites or do they have favourite online story sites that they visit regularly?

I'd love it if you could give me some URLs to online sites with stories for children of all ages that accept stories from Jo Public!  I'm not asking for any kind of payment, I just want to have a look around their site in the hope of getting a spot for one (or hopefully, more regularly) of my stories for their readers.

Danielle said about People's Friend on FB but I can't find anything about them accepting children's stories and I'm really after a site that is especially for children that specialise in children's stories that I could maybe write for.

I just want to be able to add things to my author's CV and be able to say on future submissions to agents "I wrote a story for W site that was published on X and I learnt Y from it" is all.
***

Shopping's been and gone so I'm gonna take me prescription and head to bed for another early night.

Nite nite orl!

Sunday 3 February 2019

Sunday 3rd February 2019

The bin bag and recycling went out as soon as I came downstairs this morning with no arguments at all!
***

Took the pup out for her morning stroll after that and we did 350% so there's now 2600% extra in the walkies bank.  I'm hoping we'll go for another 400% later on, but I'm not going to pressure her if she doesn't want to... gonna give her a few hours to recover then try again.
***

Just taken a minute-long video and a photo of Steve and our senior puppy snuggling up together on Steve's chair, bless them!
***

Brushed me teeth, so gotta remember to take me supplements after I've finished replying to Melanie!
***

Supplements taken now.  The B12 was a nightmare to get down but the other 3 were fine today.
***

1½ recycling boxes out there now!

The puppy is asleep and my knees are killing me so I'll take her out again after lunch so that we can both recover a bit more before doing the second half of her walk this afternoon.
***

Just done the extra 400% so there's a huuuge 3000% extra in the walkies bank after 7 days.  Not going to be able to move for the rest of the day now though, after 1450% in the last 24 hours!

I'm shaking like a leaf in a storm, my legs are killing me and it's gonna be dangerous to move off the sofa for at least the next couple of hours!
***

1217 steps already today and it's only 12.12pm!  Means I'm almost guaranteed to reach 1500 steps, if not 1750!

Not gonna move off the sofa except to go to the bathroom now though and it'll definitely be an early night too!
***

Just taken me prescription and we're having yet another take-away for tea, but I think I deserve it for hitting the 3000% extra mark this morning.  A total of walks this week is 3700% which is awesome... about 3.5km walked in 7 days ain't bad going I don't reckon.  Feeling really proud of me an' the pup for walking so far this week.

Hoping for a shorter walk total each day next week so that we can both recover.  Maybe 250%ish a day?
***

Shutting down, hopefully temporarily but maybe not, so I'll say nite nite now but might come back on before I head to bed.
***

Back up and running again 'cos our take-away was delivered literally 5 minutes after I shut down!

I didn't get my can of Dr Pepper and Steve didn't get any sauce on his cheesy chips, but other than that it was great!
***

My prescription is kicking in now, so I really am saying nite nite orl now!

I'll be back to bore you stupid again tomorrow.
***

Saturday 2 February 2019

Saturday 2nd February 2019

The puppy only wanted to do 300% today, so there's 1950% in the bank.  Gonna see if she wants to go for another walk later on though.
***

She's just done an eye-wateringly smelly poo in the back yard so she got a biscuit for that and I feel more confident about taking her out again now 'cos clearing her poo up in the street makes me incredibly unsteady on my feet.

I always clear it up, of course, but I prefer her to do it next to a car or one of the house walls so that I can lean against it as I pick up her poo.  Clearing it up from the back yard is a lot better 'cos there's a long handled pooper-scooper that I use for that and Steve holds the bag open for me to put it all in too... I get the smelly part of the clearing up and he just makes sure the bag doesn't fly off.
***

Taken me supplements now.  The Calcium and Multi weren't as easy to swallow as the last few days but the Iron and B12 went down with no probs at all.  Hopefully it's just a blip and all four of them will be fine to swallow again tomorrow.
***

I've given up with backing up my documents to the external hard drive now.

As of next week, I'm gonna back up my documents to OneDrive and everything else to the external hard drive.  Means I don't have to uninstal and reinstall Visual Studio which was a scary prospect!

As soon as the first documents backup has finished, I'll take the pup out for part 2 of our stroll then check my emails and Facebook and do the surveys and stuff.
***

Just done another 400% so there's 2350% in the walkies bank now so we've only got to do a total of 250% tomorrow to take it up 2500% extra which is almost guaranteed by now.  I'd love to do a total of 750% to take it up to 3000% but I'm not going to force the pup to do that much, so it'll either be a short walk first thing, or another 2-parter again so that my OCD is happy.  Maybe 350% first thing then another 400% after lunch?  I'm not going to force the puppy though, as long as we do 350% I won't force her to do any more than that.

We're both wiped out now lol  My legs are killing me and the puppy has just got into her bed to lay down, bless her!
***

1486 steps too, and it's only 2.30pm so I'm almost guaranteed to smash my personal best (1500) with steps too!  Might even manage 1750 steps which would be totally amazing!
***

First survey of the day completed.
***

Already beaten my personal best and am currently at 1553 steps.  Doubt I'll manage 200 steps in the next 4 hours but I'm happy with the current number already  👍
***

That's me prescription swallowed, so I'm gonna take surveys until it kicks in then I'll head to bed.
***

Just under 2 hours earlier than usual, but I'm wiped out so I'm going to bed!  💤💤

Nite nite orl!  💤💤💤
***

Friday 1 February 2019

Friday 1st February 2019

It's snowed!!

Not heavily, thankfully, but there is definitely snow on the ground, so I only took the puppy for 300% on her stroll this morning, which means that there's 1750% extra in the walkies bank so my OCD is happy.
***

Just brushed me teeth, so it's time for the four supplements now.
***

That's me supplements taken... another easy morning, thankfully.
***

Just heard about my glasses getting fixed.  They can be repaired, but they have to be sent off to be soldered which'll cost £20 and I'll get them back in the middle of next week.  Not happy but I literally can't see without them so I'm gonna look for a new optician in the centre again.  I've had much better experiences with independant opticians than I have with big name brands, so I'm gonna search for somewhere independent again now - it'll be more expensive but at least the glasses won't break!
***

Had Chinese for tea 'cos Steve was paid today.  Had half the chips 'n' sauce before I became to bloated to move!
***

Just taken me prescription and I'm even more bloated now!!
***

Going to bed now... I'm cream crackered!

Nite nite orl!
***
