Even though I slept for an extra hour this morning and I haven't done anything active at all today, I'm still totally zapped of energy, so I'm gonna head on up to beddy-byes now.

Today's (30th June 2026) lunch photo

Today's lunch was supposed to be 2 apples, 2 pears, 2 easy peelers and a 330ml can of a Sparkling Passion pop, but I couldn't even break the skin of the easy peelers, let alone peel them, so I didn't have those today and just had the apples, pears and pop for my lunch instead.


Tomorrow will be a couple of apricots and a few British cherries along with a can of pop.

Today's (30th June 2026) breakfast photos

Today's breakfast was the same as yesterday - a 500ml glass of water to take my morning pills with to start off with, then my usual solid breakfast of choccie Weetabix with exactly the right amount of soya milk this morning and a freshly-decanted 250ml bottle of Wonky Sweet and Sour apple juice.

Mornin' all

Well, I slept really well last night and woke up at 4am but turned over and went back to sleep until 5am.  I took my morning Visible reading and got a huuuge 4 out of 5 for my 'Morning Stability' score, so I'm gonna weigh myself just to check that it's safe for me to do it weight-wise then I'll get started on my exercises.


My blood pressure machine was a nightmare this morning and kept throwing up the same error message until I changed the batteries, then bingo!


I tried to take my pro and pre-biotics this morning, but they were all stuck in a huge lump so I've binned them and I'm gonna get more Omegas instead from Holland & Barrett 'cos I know that they don't all clump up.  I'm also gonna get some more batteries too.


Yesterday's delivery has been delayed (no shit Sherlock!) and the new estimated delivery date is "on or before 2 July" which is Thursday and 2 weeks since I ordered it for supposedly next day delivery!


I've also gotta remember to put the bags down by the door ready for my groceries and put in my next order too.


The daily virus scan found an advanced issue, so I'll publish this, put my breakfast photos up, then today's to-do list while it's resolving.

Today (29th June 2026) I'm grateful for...

...getting through the day without breaking down in tears because of it being my 3rd wedding anniversary as a young Yule widow.  I've kept myself busy and not let myself get too glum and I've almost made it now, thankfully.


I'm also grateful to my best friend for getting potentially the last set of edits to me for my second memoir that I'm gonna start working on tomorrow... they seem to be pretty easy fixes with just taking the American spellings out and replacing them with British spellings, then I'm hoping I'll be able to send him the last document before getting his seal of approval to hit the 'publish' button.


I'm grateful that I've come so far in the last few years and that I'm ready to rock and roll with writing my third and potentially last medical memoir while I'm recovering from my next set of jabs in Autumn.


Depending on my bladder of course...

...but my aim for tomorrow is to not get up before 5am.  If my bladder wakes me up at my usual 4am then that's OK, but it's looking like another late night again tonight so I wanna make sure that I'm getting enough sleep.

Today's (29th June 2026) lunch photos

Today's lunch was a lot different to what I was planning this morning because I had to keep my ear on the door for a delivery that was due between 11.45am and 2.45pm.  It turned up waaaay too late to have my planned lunch so I dug into my dry fruit instead and was intending to have not only the dried papaya spears but the dried apricots too, but was too full after the papaya to think about even starting the apricots, so today's lunch was just the papaya and 1.25 litres of peach ice tea.

Today's (29th June 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was the same (other than the flavour of the juice) as last week: a 500ml glass of water to wash my morning pills down with, then my solid breakfast of choccie Weetabix with Plant Protein soya milk and a 250ml bottle of sweet and sour apple juice.  It'll be the same all week because last night's OddBox had another carton of apple juice in it.

Happy 24th anniversary Steve

It's our third anniversary without you and I'm missing you like crazy.  


We should be together and celebrating our anniversary rather than you being in Summerland and me still alive! 😢

Mornin' all

My OddBox turned up at almost 9pm so I brought it in and put it all away before I went to bed and I fell asleep pretty quickly and easily, so maybe 7pm is too early for me and I should aim for 9pm bedtimes instead??


I've taken my first blood pressure reading of the week and it was really high for me but just about into the medical reference range, so I'm not too worried about it.


I've also popped my 10 morning pills and they all went down fine.  I've had my breakfast and weighed myself and I'm right where the nurse wants me to be, which is a relief, but can safely lose another 500g without going under and my Visible score was 3 today, so as long as I feel up to it I might gently stroll through a few laps today if I can motivate myself, but it's no big deal if I don't.


I'm expecting 2 deliveries today, so I hope they turn up earlier rather than later today so that I can get everything opened and used.


Gotta remember to bring in the recycling box and food caddy when they've been emptied too.


The daily virus scan was clear so I'm gonna get my first breakfast photo of the week up, then today's to-do list.

I'm not going to bed quite yet 'cos I'm not tired yet and I wanna try and stay up until my OddBox arrives so that I can bring it in and put it away before it goes off in the heat.  I don't wanna forget to say goodnight to you all again either, so I'm signing off for the week now and maybe shutting down so that I can start to wind down in time for me to head to bed at a decent time.  I've got two deliveries due tomorrow too, so it could potentially be a late night for me, although I hope not!

Today (28th June 2026) I'm grateful for...

...getting really good news on the unofficial weigh-in I've just done.  I'm slap bang on the exact weight the nurse wanted me to be and I'm sooo proud of myself for finally getting there after first being significantly over, then a bit under, then over but now I'm bang on the exact weight she gave me for my height, so I'll just be experimenting to see how to maintain that weight now.


I'm feeling sooo positive now and my OddBox is due at any time now so I'll have 400g of my favourite fruit (cherries) to devour this week and I can't wait!


I'm hoping that my 8 me-friendly creams will be in stock tomorrow (please Gaia?) so that I can devour as many creamy drinks as I want to and maybe have some with the cherries too, just to see what I think, 'cos I've never had creamy cherries before!


Today has been a very good day.


I've just unofficially weighed myself and...

...I'm bang on the right weight for my height and the exact weight the nurse wanted me to aim for when I went to have my health MOT.


It's officially weigh day after breakfast tomorrow and I might be a smidgen under by then, but I've got no reason to restrict the hot choccies now and can even snack on the dried fruit and nuts that I've got tubfuls of now, without worrying about going over my daily calorie budget. If the me-friendly squirty creams are in stock on Tuesday I'll be able to have creamy hot choccies and creamy decaff mochas too.


If I am a bit under where the nurse wants me to be tomorrow morning, then I won't be exercising no matter how good or otherwise my Visible's 'Morning Stability' score is... if it's at 4 (rare) or 5 (yet to happen) then I might do a few gentle laps to keep my heart healthy, but if it's below 4 then I won't risk it.


I've hopefully got a "bumper pack" of 400g of cherries coming with my OddBox hopefully at around 6pm tonight, so I'll be able to dig into those and other fruits next week without trying to calculate how many calories I'll go over quite so much as I have for the last few weeks.


I've got a celebratory drinking chocolate on the go which means I'll be awake and desperate for a wee at 2am again, but it's sooo worth it lol

I was debating on whether or not to have any tea today 'cos I had extra fruit for lunch and it's nowhere near as hot today, but I figured that the ice poles were there to be eaten, so that's what I did and today it was a cola and then a lemonade ice pole.
