Today's (22nd April 2026) lunch photo

I'm feeling quite proud of myself now 'cos other than a banana to help with my energy levels this morning, I haven't snacked at all again today!


My lunch was what I usually have on a Tuesday but I was waiting in for a delivery that never turned up, so didn't want to risk it yesterday.  That same delivery is due between 4.45pm and 6.45pm today, so I decided to go for the delayed lunch today.  It was, of course, 300g of large flat mushrooms, approx 10g of Vegan Mayo and washed down with a 330ml can of a Sparkling Mango pop.

I've had a busy morning so far today, so I'm over 3 hours late getting this up, but I'm doing it now, so that's a relief.


I forgot to take a photo of my first glass of water of the day but I remembered the main photo of my solid breakfast which was 2 slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast with approx 20g of 'Buttery' spread and a 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Goooood morning all

After getting about 5 hours of sleep last night (I was wide awake as soon as my head hit the pillow), I've woken up in a fairly decent mood.


I've been for 4 emergency wee's this morning, my blood pressure was still a little bit higher than my own personal normal, my pills went down easily, I started the weekly virus scan while I made and ate my breakfast and it finished 3 minutes before I did, so I started the backups off and I'm gonna take my plate and bottle through to the kitchen, wash up then do my morning laps and exercises.  I'm really hoping my delivery turns up today 'cos I can't miss a second night of pills otherwise I'll go loopy on you all!


I won't put my plan or to-do list up until I've finished my exercises and housework, whenever that is.

I've decided that...

...because my delivery still hasn't arrived, I'm not gonna take my last two pills tonight.  I'll still go to bed but I doubt I'll get much sleep and I'm gonna be a zombie tomorrow, but it's beyond my control and I'll be heavily reliant on the caffeine tomorrow morning.  It's hopefully the last non-grocery delivery for a while though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to catch up on my sleep by going to bed at 6pm for a while again.

It's official...

...I've got 8 breakfasts' worth of bread left, so I've put my first warm weather breakfast on my next grocery shop which will, officially, mark the start of warm weather meals for me.  It'll take a while for my stomach to adjust, so I'm just gonna take things very gently before I start my warm weather lunches too.


One adjustment at a time, starting next week when I've finished the bread and put the spread onto Olio so that I've got more room in my fridge for all the fresh things I'm gonna start getting.


Things are going a bit too well so there will be a bump soon, I can pretty confidently predict lol


Starting tomorrow, I can now...

...start sorting out and Freegling the rest of the things in the kitchen cupboard and hopefully soon I'll be able to put my new pans and pots in there and reclaim my stool!  I'll also be able to put my new storage units in the cupboard too... I can do this reorganisation thing and getting it all where I want it to be!


I'll also be able to do a stock-check and adjust my menu's so that I can make a more determined effort to eat properly.


I've also gotta remember to have my mushrooms and mayonnaise tomorrow too, but I'll deal with that at lunchtime... can someone remind me in the morning though, pretty please?


When I've sorted the cupboard and got things organised, I'm gonna reward myself with some warm, me-friendly, Cinnamon Swirl Barista milks so that there's more room in the fridge for my soya milks ready for my warm weather breakfasts.  I'm trying to finish off what I've already got in the house first, but the breakfasts should start next week and the salads by mid-May with any luck!

Lunch tomorrow is definitely...

I was supposed to have that today, but I've been waiting for a delivery that was supposed to be here between 7am and 1pm, then it changed to 12.15 to 3.45 and now it's 6.15 to 8.15!


I'm expecting a Freegler to arrive at 5.15pm too, so I'm predicting that Loki will make both turn up either at the same time or very close together lol

Today's breakfast was just 2 x 500ml glasses of water so that I could take my 14 morning pills, so there's only one breakfast photo today.

Gooooood morning all!

My bladder woke me up at 3.45am and I stupidly got back into bed rather than staying up, but never mind.


I've taken my blood pressure and the top number was the same as yesterday morning.  My 14 morning pills have been popped and I've got washed and changed.


Gotta remember my delivery is due between 7am and 1pm, my groceries are due between 10am and 11am and I've got a Freegler coming for most of the kitchen stuff this afternoon, so it'll be a busy day today!


The daily virus scan found an advanced issue and there's a survey for the programme too.


Time to get today's breakfast photo up, then my to-do list.  There's only one photo of my breakfast today 'cos I'm still full from yesterday's lunch, so it was just the 500ml glass of water to take my morning pills with and I had a second glass because I drained the first glass before taking all of my pills this morning.

It's been a long ole day today and I've accidentally had half a litre of water to drink in about 15 minutes, so my bladder is gonna be a nightmare overnight tonight!  If I wake up at 3am again, I'll stay downstairs and get washed and changed instead of going back to sleep.


My last two pills of the day have been popped so I'm gonna head on up to beddy-byes now.

Today (20th April 2026) I'm grateful for...

...Loki behaving Himself and getting my delivery to come after I'd finished my laps and exercises this morning.


I'm also grateful that my delivery seems to be appropriate sizes and that I could put most of my ginger beer into one of the items and still have 3 left over that there wasn't room for.


I'm grateful that I've paid my water bill and that it was considerably less than I was thinking.


I'm also grateful that I can afford to splash out on some me-friendly sweets with tomorrow's groceries and that the vegan bacon was a little bit cheaper than normal, so I've added a couple to my basket to give me a bit of variety if they are in stock tomorrow.


I'm grateful that I got today's plan knocked on the head so quickly today and I hope it's the same again tomorrow.  I've gotta remember to put the bags in front of the door after I've done my laps in the morning.


I'm grateful that my pills are kicking in and I'm gonna shut up, get the last to-do list together then head on up to beddy-byes.


That's a relief!

I've just got and paid my water bill and I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive than it actually was... about £160 for October 2025 to March 2026 and I was thinking it'd be at least £500!  I can cope with a £350 (2 x £160 + extra for Summer drinks) a year bill!  It was part standard and part metered so my next bill in around September/October kinda time will apparently be fully metered, so it'll be interesting to see what my next bill is like!


I can breathe for a while now though, so that's a relief.


I'm hungry again now but...

...it's too close to bedtime for tea and I'm desperate not to snack after doing so well for the rest of the day but it's gonna be a battle for the next couple of hours 😟

Today's (20th April 2026) lunch photo

Considering that today's lunch was pretty much entirely vegetables (other than the breading on the mushrooms) and I didn't snack at all this morning, so was getting hungry when I went to make it, it's nicely filled me up!  I think I've got both of today's meals spot on so far and I'll hopefully remember to have a mug of instant soup for tea in a few hours... if I manage it without nibbling this afternoon, then I'll have gone through the entire day without snacking, which is a huge achievement for me!


Today's lunch was 5 breaded garlic button mushrooms, 142g of frozen mixed veg, 80g of frozen butternut squash chunks and 80g of sweet potato chunks, cooked in 2ml of air-fryer oil and washed down with a 330ml can of a Sparkling Mango pop.  I used too much oil again so I've gotta remember to be more sparing with it tomorrow.

I've just sorted out the deliveries and put the cans into the can dispenser and rearranged the counter a bit more as well as bringing in and putting away the recycling containers.  I've also added another 3 or 4 books to my TBR pile, so I'm gonna flop until lunchtime now, then do my laps and flop until bedtime!


Considering how much of a flop I felt this morning, I've actually achieved a pretty decent amount and I'm, quite rightly, proud of myself now.


I'm also determined not to snack today so I'm starting to feel just a touch hungry, so I'm gonna go and make myself a drink while I recover for the next half an hour then spend this afternoon catching up on my TBR pile.

Today's (20th April 2026) breakfast photos

Today starts a new week with a new determination to eat at least two proper meals a day, ideally all three.  I started off with a 500ml glass of water to take my 9 morning pills with then had my solid breakfast of two slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast with approx 20g of 'Buttery' spread and a freshly-decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Mornin' all

Well, I woke up at 3.45am for an emergency wee and went back to bed, woke up at 4.20am for another emergency wee and went back to bed then finally gave up just before 5am, went for my third emergency wee and stayed up then lol


I've taken my blood pressure (which was a bit high this morning), popped my 9 morning pills, had my breakfast and done the washing up, so I've just gotta weigh myself now to see how often and how many laps I can do this week.  I'll run the daily virus scan while I'm weighing myself methinks then wait for my delivery.

It's been a long, tiring day today, but I can see a dent in the pile in the corner of the kitchen now and 2 of today's 4 offers are being picked up on Tuesday late afternoon so I'll be able to get more advertised on Wednesday which I'm hoping will go equally as quickly.


I've taken my last two pills of the day and I'm just gonna finish listening to this podcast then head on up to beddy-byes.


I'll see you all in the morning for hopefully the last delivery after hopefully remembering to take the rubbish sack out as soon as I can leave the bathroom for long enough lol
