That's me officially...

...back with Visible again.

I've taken both FitBits off my ankles and uninstalled the FitBit app from my phone.  It's been an expensive day but as of now, I'm focussing on pacing rather than steps.  It's gonna take a loooong time to get out of the habit of pushing myself to get a certain number of steps or walk for a certain length of time, but my health comes first now.  It's gonna be weird not tracking everything that passes my lips for the first time since 2019, but I'm hoping that I won't be totally zonked so often when I've got into the habit of doing less, more frequently, and I'm focussing on my disability rather than exercising and logging everything now.

I think...

...it's time to give up on FitBit now.

I've just been logged out of the app and when I logged back in, literally everything was gone between 11th April and today, there isn't even a way to get into May - it's just completely disappeared and the only information on 11th April is over 1,500 entries of caffeinated coffee.

It's one screw-up too many so as of now, I've officially stopped using FitBit.

My delivery has just arrived, soooo...

...I'm not gonna have anything solid for lunch 'cos it's too late now, so it'll just be drinks again today.

Looks like...

...today could be another day of liquids for lunch 'cos I've got a delivery due between 9.55am and 1.55pm so I won't be able to eat until it arrives and if it's at the later end of the slot then it'll be too late for me to have lunch.

Hopefully I'll be able to eat properly tomorrow for the first time in 3 days though.

Aaaaand...

...it's started.

My bum is already misbehaving after only eating breakfast yesterday and it'll be like it all day and the same again on Wednesday because of the plug.

Today's (9th May 2026) breakfast photos

This morning's breakfast was the same as it has been for most of the week - a 500ml glass of water to start off with so that I could take my morning pills, then I had a shower and got dressed, then had my solid breakfast of 2 choccie Weetabix 250ml of Plant Protein soya milk and a freshly-decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Here's today's breakfast photos:

Mornin' all

Well, I had a pretty disturbed night again and my hayfever is in full swing so I'm feeling pretty lousy atm.  I've taken my blood pressure which was higher than my normal, but still low in the medical reference range, popped my morning pills, had a shower and washed my hair then had my breakfast, so I'm back on track this morning.  The daily virus scan was still reassuringly clear too, so that's good news.  I've potentially got an Olio-er interested in my saucepans, but he obviously didn't read the full ad because he said he would come at 6pm today even though my ad said 5pm most days!

Gotta remember to wash and dry the towels today 'cos there aren't any clean ones left now!

Time to get my breakfast photo up, then today's to-do list now I reckon.

Nite nite orl

It's been a long, busy ole day today with very little solid food (other than my breakfast and a cheeky packet of chocolate peanuts) so my arse is gonna be awful tomorrow when I've gotta remember to pull the water heating switch in the bathroom for my weekly bath.

I've popped my last two pills of the day so I'm gonna shut down and head to bed now.

I'll see you all at some point in the morning.

Yep, apparently I'm a supermarket...

...the lady came to my door and asked "is the spinach still OK?" so I said that I thought so.  She replied "what about the peppers?" and I said that I thought they were too.  "Have you got anything else listed atm?" to which I replied "nope, that's it" she took out her phone and scrolled through my listings.  Showed me a photo "what's this?" so I told her it was an iced mocha "I'll have that.  What about this?" plums "how many?"  I told her nine.  She said "I'll have those too" then spotted the tomatoes and said "I don't need those.  What about these?" so I told her radishes "nope, don't want those either" so she basically emptied my fresh veg out of my fridge even though she had only requested the spinach and peppers!

She then asked for directions for getting to a main road and I had to direct her to that too and she disappeared.  Not an ounce of gratitude or single word of thanks during the entire time she was here.

Today's (8th May 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast is potentially my only solid meal of the day because I've got someone coming to pick up some things that will be here at "about 12.40pm but could be earlier or later" so I won't be able to eat anything until they've gone at lunchtime and then I've got a second person coming to pick up something else at 4pm-ish so I won't be able to have any tea either in case she is early.

I had my first breakfast of a 500ml glass of water, then my second, official, breakfast of a serving of Chocolate Weetabix with Plant Protein soya milk and a 250ml bottle of freshly-decanted Tropical juice.

Here are today's two breakfast photos:

Mornin' all

So far this morning, like most mornings, I've taken my blood pressure which was just a smidgen high this morning, popped my 9 morning pills then made, ate and washed up my breakfast.

The virus scan zipped through this morning and was all clear, so that's a positive.

Time to get today's breakfast photo and my to-do list together now I reckon, then do my laps and exercises for the last time this week.

Today (7th May 2026) I'm grateful for...

...pain.

Why?

It's a pretty bizarre thing to be grateful for, right?

It's proof that I'm still alive and can still feel something.

I'm also grateful for putting the tomatoes and plums on Olio and I'm hoping they'll go soon.

I've got an Olio-er coming tomorrow for the peppers, spinach, mocha and ice cube trays as well as a Freegler coming in the afternoon for the air freshners, so I'm grateful that they will hopefully all be gone by this time tomorrow.

I'm also grateful that I can just about cover 6 weeks worth of bills with the money I've got left in my bank account atm.

As well as checking that my next OddBox subscription box is things that I'll actually use.

Gotta love...

...hayfever, in a not kinda way.

Today's (7th May 2026) lunch photo

Today's lunch was the same as yesterday's, other than the colour of the pepper.  It was 2 sticks of celery, approx 80g of mixed leaf salad, 1 red pepper, 1 jumbo salad onion, 2 pickled hard boiled eggs and approx 10g of Vegan Mayo, washed down with a 330ml can of a Sparkling Mango pop.

Here's today's lunch photo:

Oooh!

I'm getting rid of the ice cube trays, peppers and spinach as well as the allergenic mocha tomorrow morning, which is a relief!

Today's (7th May 2026) breakfast photos

Today is starting off the same way as yesterday, with my first breakfast of a 500ml glass of water and my second breakfast of choccie Weetabix with plant protein soya milk and a freshly-decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Here's today's breakfast photos:

Mornin' all

Well, I've woken up still knackered this morning, but so far I've managed to take my blood pressure which was at the low end of my own personal reference range, then I popped my 10 morning pills with my first breakfast of a glass of water, then got washed and changed, made and ate my second breakfast and then washed up and started the daily virus scan which was reassuringly clear this morning.

I'm gonna try and not have any more caffeine this week, unless it's part of the product test, like Tuesday's was.

Time to get my breakfast photo up, then my to-do list and then my laps and exercises now I reckon.

Nite nite orl

Despite getting up an hour later than usual this morning, I'm totally poopey-dooped, so I've taken my last two pills of the day and I'm heading off to beddy-byes now.

I've put the spinach and peppers onto Olio so that they don't go to waste and I've adjusted my groceries and next OddBox delivery - it's just gonna take a bit of tweating until I find what works for me and this is only my third day of warm weather meals so I shouldn't expect to get everything right first time.  If you want to try out OddBox, you can get a tenner off your first box by using this link when you order your first box and I'm a convert now!

I'll see you all in the morning.

If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know how I start them all off.  Every book starts with the full palace of 5 stars and I'm always hopeful that they will still be stuck firmly in place by the time I close the back cover.  You'll also know that I'm not shy about removing stars if I feel it necessary but I always give my reason(s) for taking them off within the review - they don't just disappear.

Let's get going with the reading and reviewing shall we?

I've just finished reading the first two chapters of the book and it's breaking my heart that James wasn't given the opportunities to shine or the support to succeed in his education.  I can't help thinking that if he'd been assessed, diagnosed and supported while he was still at school, he could have achieved success in his own right.

It's reading like poor James couldn't escape and relax and be a "normal" youth, even before Catherine became a potential royal!  It makes me wonder how the reporters would feel if it was done to them too!

Just finished and it reads like James found the right person for him and that he's comfortable with who he is now that he's a husband and dad... WTG James!

Today's (6th May 2026) lunch photo

I really have gotta stop snacking and learn that my salad lunch fills me up more than I think it will!  lol

Today's salad consisted of 1 yellow pepper, 1 jumbo salad onion, 2 sticks of celery, 80g of mixed salad leaves, 2 pickled hard boiled eggs and 10g of vegan mayonnaise, washed down with a 330ml can of a Sparkling Mango pop.
