Mornin' all

I've woken up to a behaving bladder this morning 'cos I wasn't about to wet myself as soon as I opened my eyes this morning, which was a relief.  I've also got a Visible score of 4 but won't be lapping or exercising today 'cos I don't wanna get sweaty after having my weekly bath.  I've pulled the water heating switch on so it's bathtime at 6am today.  I've also taken my blood pressure which was 116 and popped my morning pills.  I've brought my new clothes down and put the towel in the bathroom before remembering to put my new Pentagram around my neck, but it's all sorted now though.

The daily virus scan found an advanced issue, which is now being resolved.

I'm gonna make the most of a quiet afternoon by giving my memoir one last read-through then getting things started with publishing my second memoir and I'm gonna carry on deleting the photos in between everything else this morning.

Time to get today's to-do list together before I have my bath.

Mornin' all

Aaaaand... relax.

I've just had my weekly bath and this week it was so gorgeous that I didn't want to get out lol  I was in there for about 50 minutes this week and I feel a lot more human now.  I obviously didn't fall asleep while I was in there, but I feel at least semi-human now.  I'm still knackered and in a lot of pain and really weak and wobbly, but I'm ready to face the day now, instead of feeling like I'm walking through treacle constantly.

Before I got into the bath, I pulled the water heating switch on then took my blood pressure (105 this morning), popped my 11 morning pills with my breakfast and then ran the daily virus scan, which was reassuringly still clear.  I'm charging up my Visible atm so time to get my breakfast photo up, then today's to-do list together after I've brushed my teeth methinks.

Today (4th September 2026) I'm grateful for...

...my unwanted food being picked up three times today (two Olio-er's and a Freegler), the Freegle stuff going, the middle cupboard finally being emptied, washing the mugs up and putting them onto Freegle.  I'm also grateful that I'll be getting rid of everything except the mugs on Monday.

I'm grateful that my diet is still improving and that my body is coping so well with having to rapidly re-learn how to process solids.

I'm grateful that I found OddBox and that it's opened up a whole new healthy world of variety to me.  I've been able to discover new-to-me fruits and veg that there is no way I would have done otherwise.

I'm grateful that Morrisons have officially started stocking mince pies so that I can snack on a box of those every day to keep my calorie count up.

I'm grateful that I've been able to have protein today and that I had a solid breakfast this morning.

I'm grateful that I'm still able to move today and that I can hopefully have a long soak in a hot bubble bath tomorrow morning... I think I deserve it.

Nite nite orl

It's been a long, exhausting day with purely liquids again for both meals, so I bet my bum will misbehave tomorrow, just as the Olio-er comes to the door lol  I've given away the vast majority of what was in the cupboard and advertised the rest on Freegle, so I can breathe for a while before I start on the last two cupboards in the kitchen.

I've popped my last two pills of the day so I'm gonna put my HLTH band back around my ankle and head on up to beddy-byes.

I'll see you all in the morning.

Today (30th July 2026) I'm grateful for...

...finally being digitally connected on my home phone and getting an emergency phone put in for free.

As if that wasn't enough, I've also successfully cooked my first ever fresh sweet potato for my lunch and it went down like a dream.

I'm also grateful that I've just created a (yet another) new blog to keep all of my recipes together and got my first recipe up already.  They will all be tried and tested by me personally, as opposed to pinched from somewhere online - if I haven't personally made it, then it won't be on there.

I'm also grateful that I did my exercises at sparrow's fart this morning 'cos there's no way I can do them this afternoon.

Today's the day!!

I'm gonna try, for the first time ever, air-frying a sweet potato.

My limited research is telling me that it's 200c for 35-45 minutes and that I've gotta wash/scrub the potato, pat it dry, poke it with a fork coat it with a thin layer of oil and turn it half way through for even cooking.  I'm gonna use the air-fryer spray as opposed to liquid oil like it says and keep my fingers crossed.  One of the recipes says to use vegan butter on the cut potato but I'm gonna see how dry it is when I've cut it open before I decide.

Wish me luck!!

Mornin' all

So far this morning I've been for two wee's in 20 minutes (literally), taken my blood pressure which was high-normal for me at 108, popped my 12 morning pills with my breakfast glass of water (which I've just put into the Nutracheck app) and run the daily virus scan while I went to brush my teeth.

It'll just be drinks until I've got my phoneline switched over this morning 'cos I can't get to my fridge, freezer or cupboards until the engineer has been and gone.

My 'Morning Stability' score was 3 out of 5 again, so I'll do my laps and exercises when the engineer has gone too.

Time to get today's breakfast photo resized and put up on here and Instagram then I'll get my to-do list together.

Today (25th July 2026) I'm grateful for...

...getting my deliveries at a reasonable time and just about finding room for them all.  I'm rapidly running out of space so I'm thinking that I'll need to sort out the other cupboard by the chest freezer and all of the cupboards by the main counter, sooner rather than later.

I'm grateful that I've had two solid meals today and I'm proud of myself for not snacking anywhere near as much as I thought I would this morning.

I'm grateful that I tested my reaching ability into the freezer and finding that I can just about reach the bottom of it right at the front.  I've put loads of proteins onto my grocery order for Tuesday, so I'll be able to have all sorts of good things going into my body for the first time in years on end.

I'm grateful that I've had a pretty decent day today and I'm proud of everything I've managed to accomplish.

*Phew*

I hate using the phone at the best of times but I've just called the pharmacy and they said they would deliver my prescription "tomorrow" and they will have had my prescription for 28 days at that point, but that's the first thing I can cross off my to-do list.  Then I phoned the taxi company and that's all been booked in for my medical appointment on the 17th and apparently all the drivers have card machines now, so that's reassuring - just gotta remember to take my purse with me now lol

Gonna put my afternoon's exercises into the app then that'll be me able to relax until bedtime then.

Monday, 6 July 2026

Gooooood mornin' all!

I've woken up feeling pretty positive and it feels like I've achieved a pretty decent amount already today!

My blood pressure was even higher this morning at 115 but that's still low.  I'm gonna try and remember to ask to get my blood pressure checked when I go for the blow test to see if I've got asthma on the 17th - you watch me forget though lol

My 9 morning pills all went down fine this morning, thankfully.

I weighed myself after I'd had my breakfast and I'm slap bang in the middle of the weight range that the nurse said to aim for, so I can exercise again this week, but not today 'cos my 'Morning Stability' score was only 2 this morning.

I've moved the recipes into their appropriate folders now and I've got 2 puds and the rest were lunches from OddBox so far.  I've got more folders ready and waiting for breakfasts, teas and drinks whenever I get them, but it's another thing to cross off my to-do list this morning.

Gotta remember to bring my recycling box and waste food caddy back in when they've been emptied this morning.

Gotta change the bedding at lunchtime too and take the duvet off the bed entirely so that it's just the sheet and pillow for the rest of Summer now.

The virus scan was reassuringly clear, so I'm gonna do my Monday admin, get my breakfast photos up then today's to-do list together.

I'm...

...absolutely knackered after waiting up for yesterday's delivery and only just getting 6 hours of sleep, so I'm gonna take my pills then head straight on up to beddy-byes for an early night tonight and I'm really hoping that I'll be asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow tonight!

I've finished the editing now and I've made a start on Steve's bank statements so I'm gonna try and do a bit every day with that so that it's not so overwhelmingly frustrating for me.

I'm gonna have a peach instant tea tomorrow after breakfast and me-friendly creamy hot chocolates for the rest of the day 'cos I need and deserve both of them!

Can someone remind me to put the vegan mayo onto Olio tomorrow please?  I'm gonna keep eating the fruit for my lunches so don't need it any more and don't want it to go to waste.

I'm also expecting my Omegas to turn up tomorrow and they are due around lunchtime, so it'll be early exercises (assuming my 'Morning Stability' score is high enough) and a late lunch of 2 apricots, 10 cherries, a banana and a large pear tomorrow.

Mornin' all

My OddBox turned up at almost 9pm so I brought it in and put it all away before I went to bed and I fell asleep pretty quickly and easily, so maybe 7pm is too early for me and I should aim for 9pm bedtimes instead??

I've taken my first blood pressure reading of the week and it was really high for me but just about into the medical reference range, so I'm not too worried about it.

I've also popped my 10 morning pills and they all went down fine.  I've had my breakfast and weighed myself and I'm right where the nurse wants me to be, which is a relief, but can safely lose another 500g without going under and my Visible score was 3 today, so as long as I feel up to it I might gently stroll through a few laps today if I can motivate myself, but it's no big deal if I don't.

I'm expecting 2 deliveries today, so I hope they turn up earlier rather than later today so that I can get everything opened and used.

Gotta remember to bring in the recycling box and food caddy when they've been emptied too.

The daily virus scan was clear so I'm gonna get my first breakfast photo of the week up, then today's to-do list.

Monday, 22 June 2026

Mornin' all

I've woken up to a Visible 'Morning Stability' score of 4 out of 5, I've taken my blood pressure which was in my normal range, popped my 9 morning pills which all went down fine, had my breakfast, then weighed myself - I'm over where the nurse wants me to be, so because of my weight and my good Visible score, I'm gonna try pushing myself more than normal, just to see what happens.

Just started off the virus scan, so gonna go and make myself my first caffeinated drink of the week while that's zipping through, then put my breakfast photo up and my first to-do list of the week.  I was gonna brush my teeth, but I don't wanna throw my breakfast up so I might do it later on.

Scratch that lol

The virus scan has just finished and was all clear, so time for my first meal photo of the week, then today's to-do list now.

Monday, 8 June 2026

4pm today marked...

...48 hours since my last diarrhoea episode, which officially means that I can now have caffeine again.

I deliberately don't have caffeine after 12pm, self-imposed time limit, because it keeps me wide awake all night so I won't be having caffeine until tomorrow morning and to celebrate I'm gonna break open a jar of my favourite peach tea for the first time since being medically approved to have one mug of caffeine a day, for a maximum of 6 days a week, because my usual mug is 550ml as opposed to the standard 250ml that is usually seen as a dose of caffeine.

I deliberately didn't have caffeine on Thursday 'cos of my medical appointment and I just completely forgot on Friday morning, then my bottom explosion, so I haven't had any caffeine at all since last Wednesday, so that's pretty good going I reckon and it was the equivalent of 1.5 'doses' of caffeine, in total, all week instead of the 2-3 that I'm medically allowed each week, so I think I deserve my peach tea tomorrow lol

Just gotta remember now lol

Aaaand...

...I've finished off the cream.

My second creamy hot choccie of the day has officially finished off the last of the can of squirty cream so I can now fit both cartons of juice in the fridge when they're delivered on Sunday evening/Monday morning without having to remember to put the new (as in today was the first squirt) mayonnaise onto a shelf and potentially forgetting about it.

I've also moved the peppers onto the same shelf as the spring onions now, so I'm really hoping I'll remember to chop one up tomorrow and the other one on Saturday, ready for the OddBox delivery of mainly fruit now (the two bunches of spring onions are the only salad/veg stuff) so that I can have ice cream at lunchtimes on particularly hot days and fruit on the less hot days next week.

I've got space for all the fruit now and I can store the juices without worrying now.

Today has been a good day so far.

Gooood morning all!

I've woken up in a positive-ish mood this morning, taken my blood pressure which was in my own personal reference range, popped my 10 morning pills and had my breakfast, before remembering that I was going to get washed and changed today, so it's too late now otherwise I'll throw up my breakfast.  The monthly virus scan is underway and my aches and pains are manageable today.  It's another 3 from my Visible today.  The soya milk tasted off this morning, so I've poured it down the sink and put another carton in the fridge ready for tomorrow.

Time to get today's breakfast photo up, then today's to-do list now I reckon.

Nite nite orl

It's been a long, heartbreaking, grief-filled, annoying day again today, so I've taken my pills and I'm gonna head on up to beddy-byes in a bit.  I've been able to do both sets of exercises and get Steve's bank statements ordered at last so that's a relief and I'm proud of myself for getting them all done.  My morning stability rating on my Visible was 4 again, so I think I've made pretty good use of it.

I'm still waiting for 3 of my prescriptions, so that's annoying and disappointing, but there's nothing I can do about it until the pharmacy manage to get it delivered to them, so I've just gotta be patient I guess.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered another health tracker to go around my ankle that counts steps and monitors my blood pressure throughout the day and night, so it'll be interesting to see what that's like when it arrives.  It's apparently got a 30 day battery life, but I'm not holding my breath on that lol

I'll see you all in the morning when I'm determined to have a proper breakfast and get my nose stuck into a book.

Have I found...

...a combination of trackers and apps that work for me and my health and let me track and pace rather than track and push??

I've just added the Nutracheck app to my personal phone and that seems to track the calories and exercise that I want without the steps.  Hopefully between that counting my calories and exercises without the steps and constant pushing and the Visible tracking my health and encouraging me to pace, I might have found the combination that works for me!

It's gonna take a while to add all my meals in, but I've got both sets of breakfasts (without the juices) for both warm weather (the choccie Weetabix) and cool weather (the toast) as well as 3 drinks (caff and decaff coffee and the drinking chocolate - I've just gotta add sugar and cream as appropriate), I've potentially found a good starting point to work from.  It's just a smidgen under £40 a year for membership, but it could, potentially easily pay for itself within weeks!

Yes, it was good to keep it all together in FitBit, but it really wasn't working for me and it feels like maybe Gaia has had a hand in me finishing with it and finding the Visible and Nutracheck apps in its place.

It's gonna take a while to get everything added in for lunches especially as they are so varied, but so far so good!

Mornin' all

So far this morning, like most mornings, I've taken my blood pressure which was just a smidgen high this morning, popped my 9 morning pills then made, ate and washed up my breakfast.

The virus scan zipped through this morning and was all clear, so that's a positive.

Time to get today's breakfast photo and my to-do list together now I reckon, then do my laps and exercises for the last time this week.

Mornin' all

Can someone remind me to take a happy pill tomorrow morning 'cos it was a massive struggle to get out of bed this morning, so my levels are obviously low again.

So far this morning I've taken my blood pressure (which was at the high end of my own personal range, but still low in the medical range), popped my 9 morning pills and had my breakfast.  Gonna go and weigh myself now so that I know how many times a day/week I'll be exercising... hold on please!  OK, so I'm right at the cut off weight between doing my laps and exercises once or twice a day, so I'm gonna do them once a day, every day this week.

Gonna get today's to-do list together while I'm waiting for the first virus scan of the week to finish, then my breakfast photo and see how I feel/if it's safe to start lapping and exercising this morning or if I should wait until after lunch.
