I take a lot of surveys and take part in various research opportunities and wanted to keep that separate from everything else, so I decided to invest in a new laptop to physically keep it all separate.
It was the first time in my life that I'd bought any kind of computing device totally alone and I didn't have a choice this time because my geeky husband who approved of all my computing purchases in the past had passed away so obviously couldn't give me any feedback on this.
It's a decent machine that does everything I want it to do but setting up Windows 11 was even more worrying because I'd never even seen it working and my late hubby said it was sooo different to Windows 10 which was freaking me out until I'd got it all set up and the bare bones working.
I managed to get it set up how I wanted it in about a week with all my emails and files set up and it's working like a dream now.
Worth the anxiety and I'm still proud of myself for getting literally everything done totally alone.
