I reckon...

... the extra super long walk I took Mitzi on yesterday, totally wiped both of us out overnight then woke us up refreshed and ready to go!  With more energy too!

Why?

Well, apparently Mitzi slept throughout the night without wanting to go outside in the middle of the night and when we both woke up this morning we were both full of energy and vigour and we went for our usual length walk this morning, Mitzi mostly to heel and she was happy ending the walk after 4 go's up and down the street instead of yesterday's 9 and she's back to her usual position now, on the back of the sofa, fast asleep again!

Bless her little furry paws!

If we do the 125% extra once a week it will do us both good, we'll both slowly build up muscles in our legs and hopefully we'll both loose the extra weight we are both carrying!

Just got to get used to it now!  lol

Poor little pup!

Started off being soaking wet 3 times this morning for her usual (eventually) morning walk

Then when I took her out again there were 2 young men on skateboards that totally freaked Mitzi out so much that her little tail was right between her back legs without even a stumpy bit showing so only took her 25% extra that time...they didn't do anything to cause her fear, they were just chatting to each other and a female neighbour but Mitzi was totally freaked out and couldn't come home quickly enough!

We've just got back again from another full-length walk so our little puppy has been for 125% longer walk than usual today... she'll be asleep all night tonight from so much extra walking today!

Bless 'er little furry paws!

Mitzi's walk this morning

As always, the first thing I do after coming down the stairs is to walk our little pup.

Today was no different.

It was pitter-pattering with rain when we first left the house, nothing major, so I was thinking we could do the 4 lengths of the street without getting too wet... a bit damp maybe but nothing more than that.

We got past 2 houses and it started pelting it down so we did a quarter of the walk then came home.

Steve dried Mitzi so that she didn't get cold, then his carer came.

The rain had eased off after a few minutes so we did the second part of it.  Just once up and down the street again before it was hosing it down again and Mitzi refused to go any further and started scratching at the door to come in, poor girl.

I opened the door and she shot in so fast!

The rain started easing off again just as the carer was finishing Steve's legs so we went out for the last 2 lengths just before the carer left so we did the full 4 lengths of the street which is the normal walk length, but we did it in 3 sessions instead of one.

She's on the back of the sofa, joining in with Steve's snoring session atm, bless her!

Just worked out how to pay the builder, so...

... I'll be able to pay him if he calls while Steve's on a Skype call to work or whatever, just need to know the account number and sort code now!

Yay me!  lol

Just paid £200 for the materials

The builder from yesterday has just asked for the first £200 installment to get the materials which means there is now £1500 for the work and any extra materials all courtesy of me... I'm moving money from my account into the joint account, Steve's taking it out of the joint account, into his account to pay the builder because I haven't got a clue how to do it!

It just means that I won't be able to get Steve's car before next year now  :-(

Yucky wet out there on Mitzi's walk this morning :-(

I took Mitzi for her walk this morning and it was an 'orrible morning out there... cold and wet!

Then when we came home, I discovered her water bowl was totally empty, as in absolutely nothing left, so I filled it up and fed her then went to the loo.  By the time I came out of the bathroom her water bowl was half empty again so I re-filled it... I've got no idea how long the poor pup was without water between me going to bed yesterday and coming back from her walk this morning but she was so thirsty, fortunately she's got a full bowl again now though!  :-)

She's now asleep on the sofa, behind Steve, bless her little furry paws!

Update on my previous post

The bloke from next door has just been over to give us a quote of £500 minimum to get the work done, but if the wood underneath the felt has been damaged too then it'll obviously be more than that.

I've already put £1450 into the joint account and there's another £250 in my secondary account, so as long as it costs less than £1700 we can use that and I'll get Steve his car next year instead.

We'll get things sorted eventually :-)

That was a useful, helpful and surprising visit by our neighbour!

Our neighbour has just come over to show us photo's of what's happening on our bathroom roof that's causing issues for them.

From looking at the photo's I was thinking it'd be over £1000 to get it done.  Steve thought it'd be about £800 but we were both so wrong in a very good way!

So how much will it cost?

About £400!

Yep, half of what Steve was thinking and almost a third of what I was thinking!

There's almost £1,500 in the joint account and I'll move £200 over from my secondary account just to be on the safe side but things are happening now and it's going to cost a lot less than I was thinking!

Just taken...

... me supplements, just need to go back to taking them every day now!

Oooh!

Three people read one of yesterday's posts and two read the other two!

I still haven't worked out who my regular reader is!  I hope my second regular reader is OK!
