Nite nite orl

It's been a long ole exhausting day today, but I'm going to bed with a relieved smile on my face.


I've gotta remember to pull the water heating switch in the bathroom and have a gorgeously hot, relaxing, bubble bath, without falling asleep lol


I've also gotta remember to put the blood pressure spreadsheet onto my health site that I should have done today, but completely forgot.


I wanna start to edit my second memoir tomorrow too... I only wrote it at the start of October but I've already forgotten what I've written lol


It's gonna be a day filled with sugar tomorrow 'cos I'm gonna try having hot chocolates for my snacks instead of chocolatey biscuit bars 'cos I've been under the liquid minimum today, which ain't good.

Review of "SCNNC 42 Watt GLS Clear Light Bulbs"

SCNNC 42 Watt GLS Clear Light Bulbs
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

Bullseye!


I've been desperately hunting for dimmable lightbulbs that didn't flicker and my hunt had always come up empty and I had flickering lightbulbs that it wasn't safe for me to use.


My lightbulb was on it's last legs this morning so I didn't have a choice but to try these out and I really wasn't looking forward to it, based on recent past experiences.  The more expensive ones flickered, so surely these would too, right?


Wrong!


The lightbulb got changed and I nervously turned the light back on, it didn't flicker at the maximum brightness so it had to as I dimmed the switch, right?


Wrong!


It didn't flicker at all and it's exactly what I wanted!


It's slightly less light at full whack than my previous bulbs but that's good for me too 'cos it means that I can have the light at full whack without risking keeping me awake before I go to bed at night and kicking off my insomnia.


I honestly can't find a single negative thing to say about these bulbs!


Today (31st October 2025) I'm grateful for...

I've had a very good day today and if it wasn't past my eating and drinking cut-off time, I'd be cracking open several bars of chocolate and getting the cream out of the fridge for a very hot, very creamy drinking chocolate right now!


I know now where I've gotta stand to try and get the scan for the ID card so I'll try and remember to do that tomorrow.


I'm majorly grateful to the Freegler for changing the light bulb for me... she really didn't have to but she did and I can see for the next few years now with any luck!


I'm just sooo grateful for everything that's happened today!  There were so many things that could have gone wrong for me today but they didn't and I'm soo grateful for that!

Thank you Gaia and Loki!!

The Freegler has picked her things up and she's changed the lightbulb for me too and it's not flickering at all, unlike the other ones I've bought, so the shop I bought them from has found a regular customer and I don't need to ask my SIL to change it on Sunday either.  It's just the right amount of lightness too... not too bright at full volume but bright enough to see what I'm doing still.

What happens if...

...you don't remove the seeds from red/yellow/green peppers and you just eat the whole thing except the stork please?  Will it give you food poisoning or even kill you or is it just that doesn't taste very nice?  Is it a taste rather than safety thing please?  I know that you're *supposed* to, and that's fine, but will I live if I eat the pips as well as the pepper please?

Mornin' all

It was a very bad idea to have the two bars of chocolate for my "light meals" yesterday morning because now I'm not hungry at all, so I'll have to have a very late/no breakfast otherwise I won't be able to have anything for lunch.


I've taken my blood pressure (which was a bit higher than my normal, but still low), run the daily virus scan (which was still reassuringly clear), popped my 11 morning pills (including my mood stabiliser) with my first glass of water of the day and I'm now charging my watch up.


I've got a Freegler coming over to pick something up after her shift so I hope she doesn't run late otherwise it'll be another late night for me again!


Time to get today's to-do list together then go and get washed and changed and hopefully remember to put the first load of laundry on.

Woops! lol

I had a silent call so just left the still-connected phone next to me on the sofa, then totally forgot about it for an hour and 6 minutes - woops!  lol

I read online yesterday that I should eat a "small meal" every 2-3 hours to get rid of my belly fat, but I only managed that twice this morning - would a creamy hot choccie be a suitable "small meal" or does it have to be solid please?

Today's (30th October 2025) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was the same 2 slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast and 'Buttery' spread washed down with a freshly decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.


I'm gonna have a chocolate biscuit bar every 2-3 hours today too, so that I can prepare my stomach for the fruit snacks that have been recommended to help me to lose my belly flab.

Goooood morning all!

I've woken up feeling really positive this morning!  I didn't want to get out of bed before my bladder forced me to and my first Visible readings of the day were high and out of range and I've got a bit of belly ache but I'm feeling especially good right now!


I've gotta try and remember to have a bar of chocolate every two to three hours today and I've got a choice between sit-ups and crunches starting on the 1st.


My 10 morning pills have been popped and I've gotta remember to refil the bottle with squash at some point today too.


The virus scan was reassuringly clear, so I can safely use the internet again today.


This first blog post of the day is getting a bit long, so I'm gonna shut up, publish it, put today's to-do list together, refill the bottle, get washed and changed and then make my breakfast I reckon.

Starting tomorrow...

...I'm gonna attempt to have a bar of chocolate from the fridge every two to three hours 'cos apparently I should be eating smaller, more frequent meals to get rid of my belly flab and I should also be doing crunches as opposed to sit-ups to get rid of it too.  I've already got loads of fruit on Tuesday's order, but nothing I can have until then other than the chocolate, soo like with my tea's at the nurse's request, I'm introducing the 2-3 hourly snacks too so that it's not such a shock to my system next week.  My calorie count will be through the roof until I've finished the chocolate off, but I'll hopefully be getting plenty of fruit into me as of next week which won't be so calorific.

Today's (29th October 2025) lunch photo

I'm sooo glad I resisted having anything for elevenses today because the super firm smoked organic tofu has really filled me up!  It's the first time in my life that I've knowingly had it and I'll definitely be buying it again!  I didn't know how moisture-rich or dry it would be, so I had 10g of vegan mayonnaise and a 500ml bottle of Dandelion 'n' Burdock too.

...not do any laps or sit-ups today, just to give myself the day off to recover.  Back to it again tomorrow, of course, but I'm using today as a recovery and reward day after pushing myself too far on Monday with changing the duvet cover and I went overboard yesterday with my laps too, so today is a recovery day.  I might do them again on Saturday, but I'm eating significantly less calories now that I'm not relying so heavily on chocolate and crisps.  I'm gonna try and go a second day without a drinking chocolate too, but I've got almost 1000 calories to play with so it's no great shakes if I can't resist after all lol

I've woken up (obviously), taken my blood pressure, then my morning pills, then started off the weekly virus scan before having my breakfast and by the time I'd finished eating and drinking and put my laptop back onto the table, the virus scan had finished and "didn't find any issues" so that's good news.


Gonna start the backups off, then get washed and changed and charge my watch up before I do my morning laps and sit-ups.


Today is gonna be a good day.

Today's (28th October 2025) tea photo

Today's tea was the same as yesterday's tea - a mince pie.


I've had a pretty healthy day today, the mince pie was the least healthy I've been all day because even my drinks have been just a 500ml glass of water each time!


There are 4 mince pies left and starting tomorrow, I'll be having things like vegetable nuggets or fingers or whatever.  My stomach has coped better with the last few weeks than I thought it would, so re-introducing proper foods instead of just instant soups for lunch seems to have done the trick!

I've just taken another selfie and this one has been accepted so I moved on to the next stage which was to follow a QR code, take a photo of my ID and scan my face but I only had 10 minutes to do it in and it timed out while it was connecting to my phone, so I'll try again later/tomorrow, but I'm one step closer now!

Gooood morning all

I've woken up in a decent mood but sore and stiff and swollen after changing the bedding yesterday.


I forgot to take my Visible reading before I came downstairs so today's reading is a bit inaccurate.


My blood pressure was high for me, but still low in the reference range.


I've popped my 10 morning pills and set the monthly virus scan off, but haven't put in my next grocery order or had my breakfast yet.
