Today's (2nd January 2026) breakfast photo

For my first meal of the new year, I had my usual two slices of wholemeal toast with approx 10g of 'Buttery' spread and a 250ml bottle of Tropical juice this morning.

Here's my first breakfast photo of 2026:

Mornin' all

How is everyone's 2026 going so far?

So far this morning I've rebooted my first phone so that I could take my Visible reading, then I came downstairs, took my blood pressure, rebooted my second phone because it didn't send the photos, then got washed and dressed, had my breakfast, started the daily virus scan and here I am.

I worked out yesterday that I eat and drink because I'm lonely but that if I can immerse myself in something then I don't snack at all.

My second edit of my second memoir is finished as of yesterday late afternoon so I've sent it to my best friend in the hopes that he can rip it to shreds so that I can make it the best it can be.

This first post of the day is getting a bit long so it's time for today's to-do list then I'll do the washing up and make my first hot drink of the day.

Nite nite orl

It's been a long ole day today 'cos I was downstairs and editing before 3am, but I found the first edit and finished the second run-through of the second edit this afternoon - the first edit of the second draft was completed by about 5am then I spent the rest of the day reading and correcting things like words out of place and too long sentences and little things like that in the second edit of the second draft of the day.

I've taken my last two pills on the first day of the new year and I'm heading off to beddy-byes now.

I'll see you all as normal again in the morning.

Today (1st January 2026) I'm grateful for...

...finding, at last, the first edit that I put my second memoir through back in November and getting the second edit done in about 14 hours today.

I had 3 bottles of J2O before 9am and I've written an extra 3,000 words today.  It's not publishable yet, but is so much better than my first (vomit) draft and I want to put it through at least one more edit before I take on the task of remembering how to do everything to publish it on Amazon.

It's been a good day today.

Mornin' all

Happy New Year to those who celebrate it!  Let's hope that 2026 will be better than the previous few years!

So far this morning I've taken my Visible reading, then my blood pressure, then my pills, run the first virus scan of the new year (which was reassuringly clear) and I've just got washed and changed.

It's the start of JanNo today, so I'll prolly be less active than usual... I hope I remember to save the edits this time lol

Let's get today's to-do list together then officially start JanNo.
