My SIL came over to take some photo's of the house and the deep clean that we're asking for and emailed them to a couple of places that had asked for them when she got home.
One of them replied a while later offering to quote for them decluttering as well as cleaning or us decluttering and them just doing the deep clean. My SIL asked for both quotes which they sent through this morning and yes, it's 6 times more expensive but it really is a deep clean as opposed to a quick wipe with a damp cloth like the other place seemed to consider a deep clean.
We're going with the decluttering as well as the deep clean which'll be done over 2 days and while it's so much more expensive, they are promising to declutter as well as deep clean so it's worth every penny to us all.
Marie said that they would box up all the stuff on the first day then do the deep clean on the second day then it's up to us to put everything back, which is even better 'cos it'll mean that I can have all of Steve's stuff off the shelves (I'm too much of a short arse to reach it all down from the shelves) then I can finally put up fake plants and stuff on the shelves so that it looks more like what I want it to do. I'll have to ask one of my siblings-in-law to reach the shelves and I'll be able to access the shelving unit with all of Steve's motor racing books and DVDs and stuff on so that I can finally get my stuff off the floor and onto the shelves for the first time since Steve got his bariatric chair in 2016.
Marie's gonna ask them to leave the spare room like it is 'cos we need to get into it and do a big tidying up session in there 'cos Steve's got rare records and books and DVDs and stuff that his siblings might want.
Basically I'm gonna be almost emptying my savings before the end of the month but it'll be sooooo worth it in the long term.
