If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know that I start each one in the same way, by saying that every book I read and review starts off with the full shed-load of 5 stars. You'll also know that I'm not shy about removing stars but I always give my reason for each removal within the review - they don't just disappear. I haven't read many (any?) translated books before so it'll be interesting to see what this one is like!
Let's get the book opened shall we?
I'm up to chapter 5 and I'm really enjoying it so far - the author and translator have got everything spot on so far!
Chapter 6 was good too... the author got that spot on too.
Oh dear. A social media platform has just been named, potentially without permission, so the first star is coming off.
Is Lucas starting to soften slightly? Starting to consider not being so constantly alone?!
Chapter 12 made my heart flutter ever so slightly... there might even be a touch of moisture starting to appear in my eye?
What an end to such a great book! It's definitely one of my 'shoulda been 5 stars' books for the same reason as the others in the same category - flippin' copyright/trademark infringement!
A definite must read.
