...toilet rim blocks that you put straight onto the bowl and don't have a plastic cage, yeah? Well I've never used one (only the caged ones a few times) in my life and I'm just wondering where it gets stuck please? Front? Back? Either side? Near the rim, right up next to where the water comes out? Right at the bottom just above the water level? Half way down? Or doesn't it matter and I'm overthinking it again? 😁
What about cleaning the bowl - is just bleach left on overnight then flushed away the next morning OK or to I need to invest in one of those weirdly shaped ones?
The bath and sink are pretty easy to clean... just squirt with a bathroom cleaner and scrub until I either break the bath/sink or it sparkles, right? 😆
Is there a special shower head/taps cleaner that I need to invest in or can I use the same stuff as I use for the sink and bath?
Same with the tiles or something different again?
Just in case you can't tell, the bathroom is gonna be the first deep clean and sort out room lol
I can't afford to spend much, but I figure that if I can kit out one room at a time with cleaning stuff then that'll be less expensive, right? I've already got the cleaning stuff for the kitchen (I think I have, anyway) and when the vacuum cleaner is delivered tomorrow it'll just be a case of vacuuming the carpets and dusting the tables/pictures as necessary, right?
I've got a vase full of fake flowers in here that are absolutely coated in dust... how do I clean those please? Is it safe to wash them with water or do I need to carefully dust each flippin' petal please?
I'm gonna get on top of the housework starting now, 'cos a clean, well-organised house will be better for my mental health and when Steve's chair goes, I'll be able to move around a bit easier so I wanna leave the living room until that's gone so that I don't have to re-do the deep clean when it's gone.
Basically the new housework routine starts now... I've just gotta take things slowly and not push myself too hard or too fast otherwise I'll regret it... one room a day should be doable and won't overwhelm me with any luck, then I've just got the weekly cleaning tasks to follow on the list which will be easier too.
This is the start of a new me and I'm gonna get on top of all the messiness that I've been living in for the last 24 years and I'll have no-one to blame but myself if it doesn't get done this time.
