Oooh!

I've just unofficially weighed myself and I've lost 1.3kg in 2 days so I'm only 1.8kg overweight now as opposed to the 3.1kg that I was on Monday morning!

I seriously struggled to get out of bed this morning, so when I eventually dragged myself out and downstairs, I knew it was past time for my magic pill.  I've taken my blood pressure which was back in the middle of my own personal reference range again this morning, which was reassuring.  I've also popped my 11 morning pills with my breakfast glass of water and started off the weekly virus scan, so next up is getting washed and changed then doing my exercises I reckon.  I'll go and get clean now, while the virus scan is running, then do my laps and exercises while the backups are under way.  I won't put my to-do list up until I've got washed and dressed though otherwise it'll be 2-3 posts with the same thing in quick succession.

Mornin' all

I've woken up feeling flat, but so far this morning I've taken my blood pressure, then my 10 morning pills (because it's Tuesday today) with my breakfast of a 500ml glass of water, then got washed and dressed and then finished off with the daily virus scan which was still, thankfully, clear.


I've got at least one, possibly two, maybe three deliveries due today, so I've gotta keep my ear on the door so that I can bring it all in when it arrives, as well as my groceries... I bet it'll all arrive while I'm doing my laps or exercises lol


Gonna go and do my laps now, then I'll put my breakfast photo and to-do list up so that I don't have to do two to-do lists so soon after each other.

I've had a very busy and thoroughly knackering three days on the trot and tomorrow won't be much better 'cos of doing two sets of laps and my groceries as well as a delivery, so it could be an even more knackering and later night tomorrow, but that'll hopefully be it then until Saturday morning when a Freegler will hopefully be coming to pick something up.

Today's (9th March 2026) breakfast photos

Today's first meal of the day was in two parts - my breakfast of a 500ml glass of water and a very early lunch of leftovers from yesterday's roast which was a vegetarian steak, broccolli, peas and sweetcorn with a second 500ml glass of water.

Well, today is gonna be a busy day for me and I've already taken my blood pressure, popped my first 9 pills of the day and had my breakfast/lunch before washing up and weighing myself - I've put on 900g in the last 7 days, so it won't do me any harm if I miss a meal here and there this week.  I've gotta bring in and put away the rubbish and recycling containers when they've been emptied and I'm seeing my best friend today too.


I've run the daily virus scan and that was reassuringly clear, so that's a positive.


Time to get today's to-do list together now I reckon.

I noticed yesterday that..

...the days are ever so slightly staying lighter for just a smidgen longer.  It's almost 6pm and it's still just about light enough to see outside but last week it would have been black out there by now!


How can I...

...stop snacking out of boredom/loneliness?


I'm absolutely fine when I'm around others, but when it's just me I'm constantly having to resist reaching for snacks, usually at least once an hour, every hour.


I'm not hungry 'cos I had a big lunch, but I've gone looking for something to snack on 3 times in the last hour and a half to two hours, which really isn't healthy.

I've woken up sniffing and sneezing so I've either got another cold or it's hayfever again.


I've taken my blood pressure, popped my morning pills, attempted to uncap a glass bottle but broke two finger-nails instead, so I've gotta remember to ask M to do it for me.


I've also got washed and dressed and remembered to put moisturiser on the bottom of my little toe.


The last virus scan of the week was clear, so that's reassuring and time to get today's to-do list together and get my breakfast photo up for the last time this week.

My breakfast this morning finished off the loaf of wholemeal 'Toastie' bread, then I slathered the toast in approximately 10g of 'Buttery' spread and washed it down with a 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.  I've also got a me-friendly creamy caffeinated mocha on the go too, but there's no photo of that.

Mornin' all

Well, according to my FitBit, I was asleep for 8 hours and 43 minutes overnight and oh boy did I deserve it!


So far this morning I've pulled the water heating switch on in the bathroom, taken my blood pressure, popped my morning pills, run the daily virus scan, put the towels in the bathroom ready for my shower and plugged my watch in to charge up.  Bath time is 4.35am this week and I've gotta remember to do my exercises too.


Time to get today's to-do list together then go and have my shower now methinks.

Today (6th March 2026) I'm grateful for...

...technology and my air fryer and kettle and the mountain of snacks that I've got in the kitchen.  I'm also grateful for Freegle and Facebook.  And friends.  And support.  And my FitBits.  And not going downhill too fast health-wise.


I'm grateful that I've got a spare room and a bit more space to sort out things in the spare room so that I can bring them down and Freegle them too.


I'm grateful that I've got an Alexa device now and that, thanks to my best friend, I've discovered Baroque music on it.


I'm grateful that I've been able to semi-safely exercise twice today and that I remembered to charge up both of my FitBits before they died on me.


I'm grateful that I've had a reasonably good day today and that I've managed to achieve a pretty decent amount safely.

Coco Mint and Radley

I think they are the brands of my two new glasses frames and I know they aren't as well known as other brands, but they are posher than NHS frames - but how much more well-known please?  Are they just the next level up or are they quite well-known brands in the glasses fashion industry please?


I'm fine with both glasses either way, I'm just wondering how up-market/fashionable/posh I'm being this year is all.

It's been...

...an expensive couple of months what with two new glasses frames and lenses, but I can officially relax for another year now.


Tomorrow is gonna be a busy day 'cos of a Freegler coming for some bits and bobs in the early afternoon and hopefully an Olio-er coming to pick up the last of the fruit from OddBox.  I've cancelled the subscription now unfortunately and put bananas and individual fruit bags on Tuesday's grocery order instead.  I'll definitely be going back to OddBox, it was just too much fruit, too soon after restarting to eat it was all.


Saturday morning is gonna be busy too 'cos of my shower and hair wash, laps to catch up on from today and the last Freegler coming to pick up their item at 10am too.  When I've caught my breath it's then my usual Sunday stuff, then Monday I'm seeing my best friend again (hi C!), Tuesday is grocery day, Wednesday is virus scan and backups then I can breathe a big sigh of relief on Thursday and Friday before my usual weekend stuff.


It's been bedlum for the last few weeks, but it's all starting to calm down a bit now, thankfully.

I've chosen my reading glasses frames and they have been ordered and paid for, so the rest of the day is mine now - I'm thinking I'll have a J2O to celebrate lol

Today's (5th March 2026) breakfast photo

For my first and potentially only meal today, I had 2 slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast, slathered in roughly 20g of 'Buttery' spread and a freshly decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Mornin' all

I've had a pretty decent day so far 'cos I've taken my blood pressure which was slap bang in the middle of my own personal reference range, popped my 10 morning pills, got washed and changed, then made my first and potentially only meal today and I've currently got a mug of decaff coffee on the go too.


Overnight an Olio-er said they wanted the two things that I've currently got advertised on there and said that they would come "Thursday late morning" so I've asked them to be a bit more specific as I've got the dispenser coming to help me to choose my new reading glasses frames anywhere from 12pm to 5.30pm and I'm not gonna be answering the door until after he's left.


There was an update to my security software too, so I'm currently rocking the safest and most secure software that's available.


The daily virus scan has just finished and my laptop is all clear of nasties again, so I can open my emails and start my online day now.


I'm not gonna do any of my exercises today so that I don't stink when the "dispenser" gets here, I'll do them on Saturday instead.


Time to get today's to-do list together now I reckon.

It's been a long, exhausting day today, but I'm proud of myself for my laps, lack of caffeine, a proper lunch and reading such a wonderful book today.


I've popped my last two pills of the day and I'm heading to bed now.  I'm seeing a "dispenser" tomorrow afternoon so that I can choose the frames for my reading glasses.
