Nite nite orl

I've just taken the last two pills of the day and my heart is breaking all over again, but it's too late to back out now... as of tomorrow afternoon I will only have Steve's jacket left - everything else will be or has gone now 😢

I'll see you all in the morning as an emotional wreck to do the weekly virus scan and backups.

Just got...

...the email about the clothes collection tomorrow, and it's between 11am and 1pm so I'll be able, bottom permitting, to do my exercises and hopefully get my virus scan and backups finished in plenty of time - could be a late lunch though, but that's OK.  I'll definitely be needing the chocolate when it's been picked up tomorrow though, so it could be an afternoon of bars of chocolate from the fridge lol

They'll give me a more accurate slot tomorrow morning, but right now, I know roughly the kinda time that they're aiming to be here, so that's fine by me.

Getting organised ready for tomorrow

Assuming I'm not hit with diarrhoea again tomorrow, the order of tasks to try and accomplish are:

  • Wake up
  • Go for emergency wee
  • Take blood pressure
  • Go for another emergency wee
  • Take pills
  • Go for hopefully my last emergency wee
  • Get washed and dressed
  • Make and eat breakfast
  • Boot up laptop
  • Start off weekly virus scan
  • Do the washing up
  • Do exercises
  • Make myself a decaff coffee
  • Start backups
  • Give Steve's clothes away
  • Sob my heart out for a while
  • Console myself with a creamy hot chocolate
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Put new rim block in toilet
  • Mop the bathroom floor
  • Tidy living room
  • Have lunch
  • Do afternoon exercises
  • Collapse onto the sofa in an exhausted heap - the bedding change will have to wait until Monday lol

Today (31st March 2026) I'm grateful for...

...having a roof over my head, clean water, food and drinks reliably available and having the best health that I can possibly have.  I'm relatively healthy (compared to a lot of people) and I'm gradually making healthier food choices.

I'm grateful that my body is adjusting so well to having solid lunches instead of just a mug of instant soup every day and I've got plenty of snacks available whenever I fancy nibbling on something.

I've got a warm house and central heating that works.

The sun is starting to shine so I'll be able to open the downstairs windows and the backdoor soon.

I'm in a much better place than thousands of others in the UK and I'm grateful for that.

Pure...

...magic!

The dose that I took of the anti-diarrhoea meds has done it's job!  I took the initial dose of 2 tablets, not expecting much, but I've only had a small amount of diarrhoea since then and it was almost semi-solid instead of being totally liquid!

I've also only "been" twice in the last 3 hours instead of every 10-15 minutes which is my usual when I've got diarrhoea!

I've put three more boxes onto next week's order but I'm sooo glad I already had them in and that they worked so well too!

I've got...

...awful diarrhoea this morning, so I'm not gonna do my exercises today just in case I don't make it to the bathroom in time.

I've taken my first dose of anti-diarrhoea pills but I'm not gonna take any risks today.

Not sure if I'll eat anything at lunchtime... depends on my bottom before then!

Today's (31st March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was totally liquid in preparation for my fresh start tomorrow and it consisted of a 500ml glass of water and the last 250ml of Tropical juice.

Here's today's breakfast photo:

Mornin' all

I managed 9 hours and 34 minutes of sleep overnight, so it wasn't as bad as I thought after all.

I've popped my first 10 pills of the day, had my breakfast and the virus scan was clear, so time to get today's breakfast photo up, then my to-do list, then my morning exercises before my groceries arrive.  Gotta remember to put in my next order too.

Nite nite orl

It's been a very long, very knackering day today, but I got through it without caffeine, so that's a positive.

It's already too light outside for me to be able to have early nights again, and I doubt I'll be able to sleep when I get upstairs too, so it could be the first of many sleepless nights tonight.

I've got a bag of 1kg of fresh carrots on tomorrow's groceries and they were only 4p so I'll be trying to use my new peeler for the first time on Wednesday <gulp>  I wanna try snacking on those instead of chocolate for a while to see what happens.

I've popped my last two pills of the day and I'm heading to bed now.

I'll see you all at stupid o'clock in the morning.

Nite nite orl

  • open a new jar of decaff coffee  🍵

Today's (30th March 2026) lunch photo

Today's lunch, like most Monday's, was the leftover's from yesterday's Sunday roast, which this week was 2 servings of a vegetarian family roast, 1½ servings of crispy roast potatoes cooked in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and the last of the broccoli, washed down with a 500ml glass of water.

Here's today's lunch photo:

Today's (30th March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast is potentially my only solid breakfast this week, if my OCD gets its way!  It was my usual 2 slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast with approx 20g of 'Buttery' spread and a freshly decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Here's today's breakfast photo:

Mornin' all

I've had a pretty productive morning so far.  I've taken my blood pressure which was at the high end of my own personal range, but still low, then I popped my 10 morning pills, brushed my teeth, had my breakfast then got washed and changed and weighed myself.  My weight means that I'll be doing two sets of laps a day again this week, but that's fine by me.

Time to get today's breakfast photo up, followed by today's to-do list after I've set the daily virus scan going and done today's laps methinks.

Nite nite orl

It's been a long ole day today and I definitely eat and drink when I'm lonely which I really wanna get out of the habit of doing before it becomes an addiction that I've gotta break.

I reckon I'm gonna re-start my OddBox subscription again soonish now that I'm used to having veggies in me and it'll be healthier to pick at fruit instead of chocolate too.

I've taken the recycling out so I've gotta remember to bring the box in when it's been emptied tomorrow.  I've gotta get washed and changed again tomorrow too.

I've taken my last two pills of the week and I'm heading on up to beddy-byes now.

I'll see you all in the morning.

Nite nite orl

Today's (29th March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was purely liquids because of my poorly bottom and as well as my usual 500ml glass of water, I also had a freshly-decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Here's today's breakfast photo:

Mornin' all

Did you all remember to change your clocks overnight?  I did, but my Inspire is 10 minutes slow for some reason.

So far this morning I've taken my blood pressure (high normal again), popped my 10 morning pills, had my breakfast, produced a poo-nami and run the daily virus scan (which was still clear).

My bottom is feeling poorly this morning but is still just about solid, so that's reassuring.

Gotta remember to box up and take out the recycling this morning too.

Time to get today's to-do list together.

Today's (28th March 2026) lunch photo

Today's lunch was the same as yesterday's and I got the weight of the vegetables wrong yesterday - they are approx 141g instead of 120g!

My lunch consisted of the frozen mixed veg, approx 80g of Sweet Potato Fries, cooked in approx 1ml of Air Fryer Oil and washed down with a 330ml can of Sparkling Lychee pop.

Here's today's lunch photo:

Goooood morning all!

I'm in a pretty positive mood this morning - I feel lousy, but I've already brought my new clothes downstairs, taken my blood pressure, popped my 10 morning pills, filled in the DVLA paperwork, refilled my squash bottle and pulled the water heating switch on, so it's bathtime at 7.35am this week, put the towel in the bathroom, taken the towel off the grab rail and I've just started the monthly virus scan too.

I'm hoping that the bath won't be agony 'cos I've got a deeper than normal cut on my finger that the plaster keeps falling off of.

I've decided against using today to catch up on Monday's missed exercises, so it's just 4 days this week, but that's better than nothing, right?

Time to get today's to-do list together while I wait for the time for my bath to tick away.

Nite nite orl

It's been a long, exhausting, stressful day today and I've got another form to fill in for the DVLA which I'll have to do tomorrow as well as remembering to pull the water heating switch in the bathroom an hour before my weekly bath and it's the monthly virus scan too... basically, tomorrow morning, I'm gonna be run off my feet!  I might leave the bath till the afternoon if I'm as pooped as I have been for the last few weeks... hope I don't forget!

My last two pills of the day have been popped and I'm heading on up to beddy-byes now.

I'll see you all at some point tomorrow.

Today (27th March 2026) I'm grateful for...

...staying within my calorie budget today.  This morning was a serious struggle not to snack constantly, but I've managed to get through the day without going over budget, which is a relief.

What have I done...

...in the last few weeks that has totally fucked me up?  It would have been something that lasted several hours and was very physically demanding for me but it was a necessary thing that only happens a couple of times a year, if that.  It wouldn't have been housework or sorting out the wardrobe or hauling the heartbreaking bag downstairs or anything like that, but it's totally zapped my energy for the last few weeks and I'm still screwed up even now.

There's a very small chance that it was my sight test, but it feels more physical than just moving a couple of things around the kitchen.

I've given a couple of clothes rails away recently, but it was before that I think, possibly at the start of the year.

I just can't work out what it was, but it's well and truly fucked me up and I don't think even sleeping for a week would help!
