I've taken the last pills in the boxes of my APs and started the new ones ready for tomorrow.  I'm struggling to function so I'm gonna head straight on up to beddy-byes.

Today (12th February 2026) I'm grateful for...

...finishing charging up my second power bank and finishing off my 2 boxes of AP's and also finally ordering new kitchen scissors, a blade sharpener and air fryer trays, that'll hopefully fit so that I can have veggies with my lunches next week.


Tomorrow I've gotta remember to see if my OddBox box fits inside the plastic box ready for next week so that I can protect it from rain and damage while it's sitting on my doorstep.  If it does, I need to take a photo and update the "safe space" information in my account.

Today's (12th February 2026) lunch photo

So much for not snacking again today - I had 150g of chocolate covered peanuts and raisins for a mid-morning snack because I just couldn't resist lol


My lunch was a "no sausage and beans melt" with three hash browns and approx 10g of Vegan Mayo all washed down with a 330ml can of Sparkling Mango pop.  There's one more can left ready for tomorrow and I need to invest in some new kitchen scissors 'cos the ones I've got are completely blunt and could even start opening the bag of hash today!


Just bought some scissors, a blade sharpener and some air fryer liners ready for the veggies that I'm hoping to buy on Tuesday.

I've gotta be a good girl today and just have my three meals without snacking so that I can prove to myself that I can actually do it.  I've just about resisted twice so far this morning.

Goooood morning all!

Well, I was woken up by my bladder instead of my watch this morning, so that's a relief.


My Visible score was 3 out of 5 again and my blood pressure is bang on my normal.


I've popped my 10 morning pills with my first glass of water of the day and I'm gonna go and get washed in a bit, for the first time this week.  Gotta remember to charge up my next power bank today too.


Time to get today's to-do list together, then get washed and changed then have my breakfast.

It's been a long ole day today but I've fully charge my first power bank and I've started to get to know Alexa.  The app seriously runs down the battery on my phone so I've uninstalled it now that everything is up and running and I hope it still works tomorrow now lol


I've popped my last two pills of the day and I'm heading on up to beddy-byes now.

That's all of my deliveries arrived now until my groceries on Tuesday.


It's been a busy half an hour but I'm not expecting anyone else to come to the door now, so I can breathe a breath of relief now.


Today's (11th February 2026) lunch photo

I've been seriously over my calorie budget so far this week, especially yesterday, so I'm trying to be a good girl today.  I had a couple of drinking chocolates, 2 bananas and a decaff mocha this morning and for lunch I had 2 small pears, an easy peeler clementine and a 500ml glass of water.

I forgot about my Amazon delivery, but that's due between 12pm and 1pm, so I'll do my laps and be able to relax when that's arrived, but that really is it then lol

...I've just had my Mindful Souls subscription box delivered, then just as my bum hit the sofa, my GFD order turned up too!


The first databank is slowly charging up and it fits both of my phones, so that's a relief.


I've adjusted Tuesday's grocery order to get more veggies into me and I've got a couple of liners and air fryer spray oil on there too, so I'll be able to cook frozen veggies as well, which is even better!  I'm taking things very slowly so that my body doesn't reject so many solids, fruit and veggies for the first time in over a decade, but I'm already feeling better than I did when my carers were here and I was surviving, at times, on just a mug of instant soup a day.


Time for my lunch, then I'll get the photo resized and put up on here and Instagram.

...just managed to turn the alarm off on my watch at last?


I've found the alarm setting and I've turned it off, but 3.30am tomorrow will be the decider!  I don't need to wake up so early any more and it'll hopefully mean that I can get 8-9 hours of sleep even when I get late deliveries instead of the 6 hours I got last night!


Medical records

Quick question:  where are childhood medical records kept if the child has grown up and moved to a different county please?


I've got my third and final memoir bubbling away but need my childhood medical records up to the age of 17 and I dunno where they are or even who to contact!  Did they move with me and I need to contact my local hospital again or did they stay where I spent my childhood please?


I've already got my non-NaNo26 novel planned out, so the memoir will be for non-NaNo27 but I wanna get it all planned out as soon as I can so that it's got time to fester and rot before I write it and my focus, right now, is on my non-Nano25 memoir, but it doesn't hurt to get things sorted early, right?

Mornin' all

I've woken up coughing up a lung, taken my Visible reading (3 out of 5 this morning), been for a poo, taken my blood pressure (high normal for me) and remembered to start the weekly virus scan off at 4.16am.  Gotta keep an eye on Amazon to see what time my last delivery is due too.


I'm about to jinx it, but my arm is slightly better this morning, so I'm not gonna risk getting washed and changed again just in case it's too much, too soon.  Hopefully I'll be back to normal again tomorrow though.

Nite nite orl

I've had a late couple of days, bedtime wise, and my body is seriously making me pay for it.  I've got one more delivery tomorrow then that's it hopefully for a while.


It's the weekly virus scan and backups tomorrow and I wanna use the opportunity to charge up and test out the three powerbanks and my new Echo while they are underway and me having to be extra careful not to open my email programmes until it's all done and dusted.


The side effects from my last two pills of the day are rapidly kicking in so I'm gonna shut up and shut down for the night now.

Today (10th February 2026) I'm grateful for...

...all the drinks that I stocked up on with my groceries this morning.  I've now got plenty of food and drinks to keep me going for a while.


I'm also grateful for managing to have all three meals today and I'm hoping that by having my soup for tea I won't be so tempted to snack tomorrow morning.


I'm grateful that my deliveries have just turned up and I've opened them all ready for trying out tomorrow... I've finally got an Alexa device, so I'm hoping that'll be easy to set up tomorrow.  I've also got three power banks for my two phones ready for when I go into hospital, hopefully next year... I'll have to stay overnight 'cos I'll be put under GA and I live alone now so there's no-one to keep an eye on me as I recover from the anaesthetic and the surgery.


It's the weekly virus scan and backups tomorrow, so I'll fiddle with my newest toys while that's happening and I've got one more delivery due tomorrow then that's it for a while then.

I don't think...

...I'll need toilet rolls, bread or honey for a while lol


My groceries have just been delivered and I've now got 29 toilet rolls, 2 full loaves of bread and about ¾ of a kilo of honey to get through lol


The newest flavour of J2O was in stock so I can try that out when I've got through 5 other celebrations/rewards and see what I think to it.  If I like the flavour and it's available around NaNo/JanNo kinda time, I'll be able to have that as a reward as well as the one I've had up to now.


I can now relax for the rest of the day and try to stop myself from snacking for the rest of today.  I've had 2 pears and 250g of blueberries this morning 'cos I was feeling a bit hungry so I'm not counting those 'cos I was hungry as opposed to greedy, but if my lunch is anything like yesterday, I prolly won't feel hungry afterwards so I can go to bed with a full belly again.


I'm expecting a delivery at some point today, but it hasn't been sent out for delivery yet, even though it got dispatched at 2am so I'm hoping that Loki will behave himself and wait until after I've cooked and eaten my lunch and ideally washed up and done my laps too so that I don't get side-tracked and forget what I was doing before it arrived - yes, my memory really is that bad!

Mornin' all

Well, I've woken up in agony with my arm again, so I'm not gonna risk getting washed and changed again today.  I've taken my blood pressure (which was reassuringly in my normal range), popped my 10 morning pills and had my breakfast.


My groceries are due again between 10am and 11am and I've gotta put my next order in too - hold on while I do that now... OK, done now and I've done the washing up too because I forgot that I was saying hello to you all too lol


Time to get today's to-do list together now I reckon, then my exercises, then put the bags in front of the door ready for my groceries to arrive.

It's been a long, busy, tiring day today, but it's officially done and dusted so I can relax after my groceries have been delivered and put away and I've put in my next order.


I've gotta remember to refill my squash bottle tomorrow and put today's deliveries away after I've read all the instructions, but they are both jobs for tomorrow and I'm going to bed now.

Today (9th February 2026) I'm grateful for...

...my first OddBox delivery being absolutely crammed with fruit which made it even better value for money.


I'm also grateful that I've been able to have 6 portions of fruit and veg today and that it's so easy to get more to please my sweet tooth.


I'm grateful that I've ordered the fruit bowl that's coming tomorrow.


I'm grateful that I've finally joined the thousands who have got an Alexa device as of about 15 minutes ago.


I'm grateful that I was able to eat healthily and only snack unhealthily (on chocolate raisins) once which is a huge achievement for me.


And finally, I'm grateful that I've been able to do my exercises and stay on my feet for so much of the day.

Today's (9th February 2026) lunch photo

My body has got no idea what's going on 'cos I've had 6 portions of fruit and veg so far today and I only usually get that in a month!  lol


Today's lunch was approx 125g of chestnut mushrooms, approx 10g of Vegan Mayo, washed down with a 330ml can of a Sparkling Mango pop.


My first OddBox was delivered overnight and I devoured several small pears for a mid-morning snack and the mushrooms for lunch has really perked me up, so I obviously just needed more fresh fruit and veg in my diet.  It'll be so much easier now that I've got a fridge full of fresh fruit, 8 apples and 6 bananas on the side.

Nutrition-wise...

...today and tomorrow are gonna be very healthy food-wise because I've already put my breakfast, drinking chocolate and lunch into my FitBit app so that I don't forget and I've still got over 1,000 calories left to play with today!


I've also unofficially weighed myself for the second time today and I've lost 550g since I had my breakfast too!  Just got 800g to lose before I'm back down to the weight that the nurse wants to be and I've taken all the chocolate bars and crisps off tomorrow's grocery order and put nuts on instead.  I was 1.35kg over where the nurse wants my weight to be but after this morning's laps, sit-ups and crunches, I'm only 800g over so I'm pretty proud of that.


If my first OddBox delivery is already doing this to me 5 hours after getting it, then I've got high hopes for the future!


I was also wrong about them being weekly boxes - they are fortnightly which is a lot better considering how full my fridge is now!


It's 125g of chestnut mushrooms and vegan mayo for lunch today and tomorrow, then I'll see how I feel starting on Wednesday - I've got hash browns and the other vegan melt if I'm hungry or plenty of fruit if I'm not.


I'm not gonna turn into a crazy health-nut, but I wanna get my weight down to where the nurse wants it to be and keep my heart healthy with the exercises too... I'm hoping that I can get rid of my belly and thighs in the process too.

...happy with my first ever OddBox delivery!


I've got a fridge full of fruit and mushrooms so I've got no excuse not to get my five-a-day into me this week!


There were about 60-70 individual bits as well as two packages of blueberries and a bag of mushrooms, so I'm not including those.


I'll be having air-fried chestnut mushrooms for my lunch today and tomorrow and snacking on fruit whenever my mouth feels lonely.


I've taken off the fruit pots and mushrooms from tomorrow's grocery order 'cos there just isn't room in the fridge any more.


I'm really impressed by the amount of fruit that was in the box and it's incredible value for money for under £15 as it was my first order!


I'm more than happy to keep on with the subscription now that I've had my first box from them... I need a bigger fridge though!  lol

Today's (9th February 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was the same as yesterday's, other than the brand of the juice and consisted of 2 slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast with approx 20g of 'Buttery' spread and a freshly decanted 250ml bottle of supermarket own brand Tropical juice.


I'm gonna try and remember to fill each bottle a touch higher this time around 'cos the last decant of the juice only half filled the bottle I was decanting it into, so I'm thinking that I didn't put enough juice into each bottle.
