Today's (22nd March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's photographed breakfast was a simple 500ml glass of water, but I've also had the last 2 bananas and last 2 packets of apple and grapes, washed down with a 550ml mug of me-friendly drinking chocolate, but there's no photo of any of that.

Mornin' all

My FitBit says that I was asleep for 9 hours and 4 minutes overnight but I still feel like I haven't slept!

My blood pressure was pretty normal for me, my morning pills went down fine but the virus scan has found another advanced issue... I'm guessing that they have recently been because of the edits in my second memoir but don't know for sure and it's resolved again now.

I'm dead on my feet so I'm not gonna risk getting washed and changed again today, but everything will hopefully be back to normal again tomorrow 🤞

Gotta remember to take the rubbish and recycling out at some point today too.

Time to get today's to-do list together now methinks.

I've potentially got a long evening ahead of me while I wait for a delivery that could turn up at 10pm so I figured I'd have three meals today as I won't be going to bed as early as I usually do.

Today's tea was the last sachet in the box of Minestrone Cup Soup.

Today's lunch was another plateful of veg and I got the oil pretty much spot on today too.  My lunch consisted of approximately 80g of Sweet Potato Fries, approx. 80g of frozen mixed vegetables, approx 1ml of air fryer spray oil and washed down with a 330ml can of a Sparkling Passion[fruit] pop.

Here's today's lunch photo:

Today's (21st March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was as simple as it comes - a 500ml glass of water.

Here's today's breakfast photo:

Mornin' all

I'm absolutely knackered this morning after getting less than 6 hours of sleep overnight.

So far this morning I've taken my blood pressure which was in my own personal reference range, popped my 9 morning pills and got washed and dressed.  The kitchen sink is starting to get blocked so I need to remember to use the capful of drain unblocker that was left in the two bottles when it was delivered on it and leave a review that'll hopefully be accepted this time.

Yesterday's delivery is due again today, so I hope it comes before 4pm so that I can have an early night tonight to try and catch up on the 3 hours that I missed waiting for it last night.

The daily virus scan has found an advanced issue, so hold on while I resolve it... OK, done.

Time to put my breakfast photo up then get today's to-do list together now I reckon.

Nite nite orl

Well, the delivery has been delayed and pushed back to tomorrow now, so I've popped my AP's after all and I'll be lucky to get 4 hours of sleep tonight, then have to be up at the crack of dawn to take my blood pressure, pop my morning pills, get myself scrubbed clean and changed, breakfast eaten and wait in all day for it to turn up tomorrow, hopefully not when I'm naked or in the bathroom.

I'm absolutely knackered so I'm gonna crawl on up to beddy-byes.

I'll see you all in the morning.

Nite nite orl

Oh. My. Goddess!

Without any kind of marketing or anything, someone in America has bought the first copy of my first memoir on 17th March!!  I hope they enjoy it and it's given me hope that maybe I can achieve something similar with my second memoir too!

Whoever you are, thank you so so so so so much!!

Today's (20th March 2026) lunch photo

I've been sat down for most of the morning, which has given me a tiny glimmer of hope that maybe it was just a one off and badly timed this morning.  I'm not about to start taking any risks now and I'm having a liquid lunch of 1 litre of cherry juice in the hope that I'll feel safe enough to have solids again tomorrow.

Here's today's lunch photo:

Today's (20th March 2026) breakfast photo

I fell over backwards before I'd even made it through the door of the living room at 3.30am so I'm not gonna risk anything hot or breakable today.

Breakfast was a 500ml glass of water and lunch will be the same for safety reasons.

Here's my breakfast photo:

Mornin' all

I had a mini disaster almost as soon as I turned the light on and came into the living room today - I fell down like a sack of spuds and hurt my back, neck, shoulder and arm so I'm not taking any silly risks today with anything hot, so it'll just be glasses of water all day, no food at all.  I've already had one glass of water for my breakfast and pills and refilled the squash bottle so I'm all sorted until lunchtime now.

I've got a busy day today with the delivery and Freegler, but other than that I'm not leaving the sofa and will spend the day reading through my second memoir and being strict with myself about anything that just doesn't read right.  I added about 2,000 words to it yesterday so it's now at 72,000 words so that'll hopefully keep my mind off the hunger.

The daily virus scan found an advanced issue, so hold on while I resolve that... OK, all done and dusted thankfully.

Time to get today's to-do list together, then put up today's breakfast photo now I reckon.

Nite nite orl

It.'s been a long ole day today, but I've achieved a fair amount and I've got through the first of two stages of the fourth edit of my second memoir today so that's good.  I've got at least one, potentially two deliveries due tomorrow and I've ordered more AP's so they will hopefully be with me next week.

I'm gonna have to do tomorrow morning in a very strict order so that I can fit everything in:

  1. Take my blood pressure
  2. Pop my morning pills
  3. Get washed and changed
  4. Do my laps
  5. Do my exercises
  6. Have my breakfast
  7. Run the virus scan
  8. Refill my squash bottle
  9. Be ready to bring in the delivery at any time
  10. Read through my manuscript
  11. Have lunch
  12. Do my laps
  13. Keep reading through the manuscript
  14. Give Freegler her things
  15. Take my pills
  16. Head to bed
I can hopefully breathe by the time I turn on my laptop, but I've gotta be ready to answer the door at any time - I hope Loki behaves Himself tomorrow 'cos there's plenty of opportunity for him to cause chaos for me lol

I've popped my last two pills of the day and I'm heading on up to beddy-byes now.

I'll see you all in the morning.

Today's (19th March 2026) lunch photo

Today's lunch was a lot less oily than Monday's, but still a little bit too much... will it be third time lucky??

Today's lunch was approximately 80g of Sweet Potato Fries, approx. 100g of frozen mixed vegetables, air fryed in approx 1ml of air frying spray and a 330ml can of a Sparkling Passion[fruit] pop which has filled me up more than I thought, considering it was just vegetables!

Here's today's lunch photo:

Today's (19th March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast was my first solid meal since Tuesday lunchtime and consisted of my usual 2 slices of wholemeal 'Toastie' toast with approx. 20g of 'Buttery' spread and a freshly decanted 250ml bottle of Tropical juice.

Here's today's breakfast photo:

Gooooood morning all!

I didn't want to get out of bed again this morning, so the 5-HTP was one of the 11 pills I popped this morning and it's already working!

My blood pressure was pretty normal for me at 104 and I've discovered that I need to put my toast in for a second toasting using the minimum setting after using the maximum setting.  I'm wearing my new glasses to write this and everything has sharp edges so it was work the extra money for this second set.

The daily virus scan was still reassuringly clear, so today's task is gonna be to start the editing of my second memoir after my best friend sent me the latest feedback last night.

I'm definitely into my hayfever season now 'cos my eyes are itchy, my nose is streaming and I can't stop coughing.

Time to get today's to-do list together, then my breakfast photo, then hopefully my OCD will be happy with me doing my first set of laps of the day.

Thank you Green Man!

It's definitely starting to get noticably lighter earlier in the evenings now.  It's 6pm and I've only just turned the living room light on and closed the curtains, but I was doing that before 5pm last week!

The Green Man is obviously starting to wake up which is gonna gradually start doing good things to my mood!

Just in time for...

...starting to wind down for the night, I feel like I've achieved a pretty decent amount today and I'm proud of myself for finally getting my printer to work.  I'm currently rewarding myself with a creamy decaff mocha, so it really has been a liquidy day today.

According to my FitBit app, I've managed 214 active minutes today, so I'm really proud of that.

I've also got my reading/eye-strain reduction glasses through the door about 10 minutes ago, but I'm gonna leave it until tomorrow before I try them on.  I'll hopefully be able to get a decent photo of me wearing my newest glasses and the wig that I'm gonna use for the author photo in all of my children's books.  My fantastic BIL has already agreed to working his magic with the photo, so that's the next anxiety-making thing to deal with now.  I'm predicting that the wig and/or glasses don't fit now lol

For my own safety, I'm not gonna be moving far from the sofa tomorrow between exercising sessions, otherwise I'll end up on the floor, unable to get up.  A day for reading, methinks.

Today (18th March 2026) I'm grateful for...

...finally getting my dratted printer to work after about 5 days of going head-to-head with it and losing every time!

I just needed to swallow my anxiety, remove the device, add a device and bingo!

I'm soooo proud of myself!

Today's (18th March 2026) tea photo

Today's tea was a celebratory J2O Dragon Berry because I've finally managed to win against technology that I've been battling with since the weekend!

It's been a purely liquid day today, so my bottom will make me pay for it tomorrow, but right now I really don't care!

Here's today's tea photo:

Woops and woohoo!

I haven't updated this blog all day because I've been going head-to-head with my printer and I've finally won!!!!

I paid for tech support but it wanted a serial number and I didn't have it to hand, so I went to the Amazon order, used their tech support, removed the printer, added it again and bingo!  If only I'd done that at the weekend I wouldn't have been so stressed!

I think that calls for a celebratory J2O for a very late lunch!  lol

Today's (18th March 2026) breakfast photo

Today's breakfast couldn't have been simpler - a 500ml glass of water.

I've also had a banana and another 500ml glass of water to help me to recover from my exercises, but there's no photo of them because they weren't my breakfast.

Here's today's breakfast photo:

I've woken up stuffed with hayfever this morning, so I'm feeling pretty rotten.

I've taken my blood pressure which was bang on my normal at 106, popped my morning pills, promised something to a Freegler and started the weekly virus scan.  I remembered to bring my clothes down this morning so I'm gonna put today's to-do list together then go and get washed and changed and hopefully the virus scan will have finished by then so that I can start the backups off while I'm doing my laps.

It's potentially just liquids for meals today, depending on what time my weekly backups finish, but we'll have to wait and see.

Nite nite orl

It's been a very long, totally exhausting day today, but I feel like I've made some progress today and I've cleared the hallway outside the living room door too, so I don't have to move things around before I exercise now.

Tomorrow is weekly virus scan and backups day so I'm gonna spend the time that's happening trying to sort out the drivers for my printer.

My eyelids are drooping so I'm gonna head on up to beddy-byes now.

I'll see you all in the morning.

Nite nite orl

The Green Man is definitely...

...starting to stir 'cos I've only just closed my curtains at 6pm ready to head to bed, but even at the weekend I was closing them before that!

Can someone remind me...

...to try and find the printer drivers on the HP website and if that doesn't work then to email them from there tomorrow please?  It feels like I'm getting closer to the solution, but I'm not quite there yet!

Product Review: "Medipaq 2x Square Stainless Steel Drain Covers"

"Medipaq 2x Square Stainless Steel Drain Covers"

⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

I'm sure these do what they are supposed to, if your pipe doesn't go so close to the drain and down a bit of concrete first, like mine does lol

It's useless for me, but if your pipe opening isn't hidden by concrete or something that can't be moved, like mine is, then give it a try and it might save you the headaches I've still got with mine!

Product Review: "2 x 500ml Outdoor Drain Cleaner Unblocker Fast Acting"

2 x 500ml Outdoor Drain Cleaner Unblocker Fast Acting

⭐ out of 5

I was really hopeful that this would be the answer to my frequent need to clear the gunk out of my drain so that it would actually flow freely again every time I used the kitchen or bathroom sinks or the washing machine.

It arrived on time and it was well packed but when I opened the package, the cleaner was sloshing around in the package and out of the 1 litre of drain unblocker that I paid for (from 2 bottles of 500ml each) there was less than a capful left in each bottle.

The only reason that it's getting a single star review at all is because I can't leave a no star review and the padded envelope did an amazing job of keeping all the liquid in the package!
