...my first big bill of the year - council tax.
Over £1,500 including the single person discount and it's gonna take over ⅓ of my "big bills" account, but it's why I put every spare pound into that account, for big bills like the council tax and water and electricity and all those other bills that are gonna start coming in the next few weeks as we finish the old/start the new tax year off. I'll hopefully have all of the big bills paid by the end of April, then I can start to fill up the same account again ready for next year.
Keeping the money in a separate account means that I don't have to scrabble around trying to find the money when they start to come in each year and I don't get into trouble for not being able to pay.
