...the central heating installers are coming over on Tuesday and Wednesday to finish off and I'm hoping that the plumber for the bathroom can squeeze me in either on Monday, Thursday and/or Friday so that it can all be over and done with in 4 weeks.
I'm taking it minute by minute until it's all out of the way, then I can be reassured that I can be warm and safe and able to have hot baths and showers whenever I want to.
When I've recovered from the central heating and solar panels being installed and the bathroom being completely replaced I'll need to spend a bit of time researching getting the stairs replaced then get a stairlift fitted before going head on with sorting out one room at a time. Thankfully the spare room doesn't appear to be as bad as I was dreading, but I'll need to get rid of the desk, monitor, wardrobe and replace the bed but they can wait until I've properly recovered from the last year - I thought it would be a mammoth job, but when I went in there yesterday (or was it Monday?) looking for one of the installers bit of technology, it seemed considerably clearer than I thought, so it doesn't feel like such an overwhelming job any more.
I'm only going to focus on one thing at a time and right now that's the central heating and bathroom, everything else can wait for a while.
It's been a rollercoaster of a year and 2 months, but the end is in sight and I'm coping with it a darn sight better than I was dreading, so I'm really proud of myself.
