...Yule groceries officially paid for themselves!
Just checked the points balance on my reward card at my main supermarket and I've officially smashed the £30 I was aiming for so I'll be able to stock up on mince pies and squirty cream as much as I want to now and it means that I don't need to worry about one week's shop at all 'cos it will be totally free.
People take the mickey out of me having loyalty cards and looking out for bonus point deals, but while everyone else is rushing around like a headless chicken at Christmas time, trying to find enough cash for all the extras like mince pies and Christmas cake, I can just use my rewards points and not worry about going into debt!
Next target is hopefully £50 before Christmas, then that's 2 week's worth of shops paid for just with points.
I've been doing this for years and while people laugh at me in the short-term, by thinking months in advance and building it up slowly and gradually, it soon adds up as this has just showed and I only started collecting for this year in January!
