Woops! I'm already 3 pages into the book before I started this review lol
I usually start them all off by saying that every book starts with the full barful of 5 stars and that I'm always hopeful that they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover. I also say that I'm not shy about removing stars but that I always give my reasons for doing so within the review instead of them just disappearing with no reason.
I've read 4 other books by this author... the first one was a 4 star review and the other three I didn't finish because they were so... so... so... bad I guess. What will this book be like I wonder?
Let's get going with the review:
The first chapter was pretty boring, so if chapter 2 isn't significantly better, then the first star is coming off already.
Page 24 and I've already given up through boredom - it's looking like this could be a book with lots of violence hinted at throughout so I'm gonna take a star off now and hope that I'm wrong... will it be 2 stars off (one for the boredom and one for the hinted violence) at the end of the second chapter? Already?
And now the use of a gross word for a female so the second star is coming off at page 25... will this be my fourth DNF in succession?
The first paragraph of chapter 3 is making me feel sick that a human being could be described like that, so the third star is coming off for the degrading language and the fourth and final star for the utter boredom... my fourth DNF in a row.
