Book Review: "Ruthless Daddies: A Bratva Reverse Harem Romance" by Liz Archer

Kindle Unlimited
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5 stars

Most books I read and review (other than my previous one lol) all start of with the same paragraph saying that each book starts off with the full trolley-load of stars and that I'm always hopeful that they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover.  Saying that though, I'm not shy about removing stars, but I always give my reasons for doing so within the review - they don't just vanish into thin air.

I've had one brilliant (5-star) book and four DNF's by this author so I'm trying to keep an open mind as I read my second book of the day in this series by this author.

Let's get cracking with the review, shall we?

Oooh!  I really enjoyed the first chapter and if it's a genuine taste of the rest of the book, we could have a 5 star book on our hands!

The second chapter was awesome too and it's already heading towards the same positivity of the first book I read by this author!  I'm gonna keep taking my time and enjoy every word.

This book is getting better and better!   I'm up to chapter 4 now and I'm gonna stop commenting on every chapter so that it doesn't become the size of a dictionary!  Just the bigger, noteworthy things from now on but still very very much 5 stars!

Oh.  My.  Goddess.  Chapter 6 was perfect and I couldn't have stopped reading even if the phone had rung or someone had come to the door lol

Chapter 8 was worrying... the author has really got me on the edge of my seat now!

No spoilers, but chapter 9 came out of nowhere for me!!

Up to page 100 now and this book is truly spectacular... just like the first one I read, this is, so far, a very solid 5 stars and the author has got the mix of tension to sexiness spot on again.

Now up to page 125 and I'm stopping there for the day so that I can calm down enough before I head to bed.

A late start to the reading today, but I'm hoping to get most if not all of it read and reviewed before I head to bed again tonight.

No spoilers, but the last 50-odd pages have been very unsuitable for under 18's and I haven't even looked up from my Kindle as I devoured each page... time for me to get my lunch out of the freezer and try to calm down a bit and exactly half way through the book seems like a good opportunity.

I've just finished chapter 24 and the author is really into her stride with the intimate scenes now!

Ooh!  The end of chapter 25 came out of nowhere!

Chapter 27 came out of nowhere too... it'll be interesting to see how the author handles this one!

No spoilers again, but chapter 30 was very... unexpected!

The author is wrapping up the lose ends now, but I'm not gonna read any more tonight, just in case there's a chapter like the previous chapter.  I'm up to the 32nd chapter so there are only 82 pages left to read and I'm gonna leave it until the morning to try and come down and back to reality from this afternoon's reading.

I've read 2 chapters so far this morning and it's still very much a 5 star book for me, but the author is opening up new threads to finish and I dunno how she's gonna manage to tie them all up without making the story feel rushed... I'll have to wait and see I guess.

Oooh!  Another twist!  Is the author making the job harder for herself or does it all come together somehow?

The last chapter was unexpected and the epilogue just perfect.  I wrongly doubted the author, especially close to the end, but she pulled it off perfectly.

A must-read for over 18's!
