Less than...

...15 minutes away from having cared for my carer for 10 hours today.  He's in the land of nod so I won't be getting to bed before 8pm as I think I predicted in my last blog post.

My carer has to provide over 34 hours of care in two days to even hit the minimum, which is 17 hours a day that ain't gonna happen, considering he's only achieved 41 minutes of care for both of us all week combined!  Even if he makes lunch both days and each lunch takes 2 hours to make, he's still 30 hours behind schedule and there's no way he's going to be able to cram 15 hours of care a day into his sleeping routine!  I've only managed it once and I had to start caring at 3am and head to bed at 11pm to achieve it, which just ain't gonna happen in reality for Steve.

Last 2 minutes of single figures now.

Tablets taken/pills popped

Just taken my last two pills of the day and as soon as Steve's finished eating his tea, I'll take the plate through then head to bed... I'm predicting that I won't be allowed to go to bed much before 8pm again though, same as usual 🙄

Steve's now got...

...his third meal of the day and I haven't eaten for 35 hours.  My entire calorie intake has come from liquids today and nothing solid has passed my lips since yesterday's breakfast.

I just hope that Steve feels up to cooking tomorrow, for the first time this week 'cos I really don't fancy spending the whole week living off the two meals I've had so far.

Another...

...course passed this afternoon which ain't bad going.  Got my eye on the Reddit course next maybe, but not this afternoon/evening 'cos I'v gotta keep caring for my carer and make his third meal of the day in about an hour's time, so I'm not gonna get too involved in studying and risk having to stop half way through so that I can go and make Steve's tea for him.

I was wrong in my last blog post, I'm sorry

I said I made 8 of my November's meals in my last blog post, but that was just the breakfasts and I made 3 lunches as well, so out of the 18 meals I had, I actually made 11 of them, plus the take-away, makes 12 which means that Steve made 6 meals for me in 30 days.

If my maths is right this time, I made 11 of my own meals and 65 of Steve's in 24 days.

I'm about 90% sure that I've got the maths right this time lol

Just added...

...the first January grocery order to the basket and it's entirely Steve's stuff again, but there are 8 ready meals that he can just bung into the oven for half an hour then bring in here and eat, so no messing around with chicken and bacon and stuff... the most faffy things on the order are breaded fish portions (4 of those portions in 2 packs) that he'll need to do chips with and faggots that he'll need to do chips and peas with, but the other 6 meals are just taken out of the box, bunged into the oven for half an hour or whatever then plated up and eaten, so hopefully I won't have to wait for 3 weeks before I can eat in January, like I did in November and have done so far in December.

In the 30 days of November, I ate 15 times and 8 of them were breakfasts, 1 was a delivery and 6 were meals made by Steve.  I've eaten once in December so far out of 5 potential meals and the only reason I've been able to eat at all was because it was a bowl of granola for yesterday's breakfast!

Apparently he makes all my meals and drinks for me though <shrug>

That's Steve's...

...14th meal of the week made by me, eaten and empty plate taken back through to the kitchen and I'm missing my 12th meal of the week so far.  I won't be eating anything tonight so that's 13 missed meals by me, I'll have to make Steve's tea, so he'll have eaten 15 times, all made by me and he still hasn't decanted the granola into the jug for me so I'll be missing breakfast tomorrow which'll be 14 missed meals but hopefully I'll be able to have lunch, as long as Steve feels up to cooking, so I'll have eaten 3 times by bedtime tomorrow.  I doubt he'll decant the granola on Sunday either, so that'll be 15 missed meals and if he cooks lunch I'll have eaten 4 times in 7 days and Steve will have eaten 21 times.  If he finds an excuse not to cook at the weekend, I'll be making him soup and/or sandwiches again and I'll only have eaten twice which will make the scores on the doors for the week 21-0 and I need to put on weight, rather than lose it, so things aren't looking good right now.

I've taken my lunchtime pill and my belly is quietly gurgling and rumbling, but that's OK, right Steve?

Steve's second meal of the day...

...is in the oven and he's snoring his head off, so I'll have to wake him up when I bring his lunch in here for him in 6-10 minutes time.  The scores on the doors for meal-making so far this week is 14-0 to me.  At best I'll get lunch tomorrow and Sunday but they will be the only meals Steve's made this week even though he tells everyone who asks that he makes all my meals and drinks for me.  I've eaten twice so far this week (lunch on Tuesday and yesterday's breakfast), neither of which have been made by Steve.  He has the opportunity to make 10 meals for me between now and the end of JanNo, but without being pessimistic about it, I reckon I'll get half that many at best.

Best publish this and go and check on Steve's lunch now, I guess.

Mornin' all

How are you all getting along this morning?

I'm cold and hungry and will be for the rest of today 'cos I won't be able to eat at all and I'm always cold when I'm hungry.

I've taken my morning pills and cared for my carer for 58 minutes so far today.  I put in a 10 hour 46 minute day yesterday before I was allowed to crawl up to bed, which takes the weekly total up to 49 hours and 12 minutes.  My carer has managed 41 minutes of care so far this week and I'm predicting right now, at 7.05am, that he'll find an excuse not to cook the only two meals of the week that I can't do for safety reasons so I'll have eaten lunch on Tuesday and breakfast yesterday, while he's eaten 3 meals every day.  Apparently he does everything for me and makes all my meals and drinks and I do nothing to support him though <shrug>

He's decided that he'll take his pills then have his wash then I can make his breakfast for him, so that's my morning sorted then... I haven't been able to get washed or dressed since 13th October (not a typo, it was for my Covid jab the next day) so I stink, but Steve manages to keep washing and getting changed every day.

He's just finished taking his pills so that means he'll be going for a poo then to have his wash then decide that he wants breakfast, so I'd best publish this and go and get myself my first drink of the day (other than the squash I had to take my pills with when I first came down) and fill the kettle and boil it ready for Steve.

I've set the virus scan going, so hopefully that'll be finished before Steve wants his first meal of the day.
