That's the tomatoes watered for the last time today...

...they were still relatively damp from this morning, so I gave them the same amount between them as I did for each of 'em this morning - don't want to drown them after all!

That means that it's just me caring for my carer until I head to bed tonight now... 6.49pm is the new target but I reckon it'll be at least half an hour or more after that before the side effects kick in, but 6.49pm is 10 hours of care today and will take the weekly running total up to 40 hours 17 minutes.  Aiming for 70 hours this week as I only cared for my carer for 9 hours and 6 minutes yesterday.

I was wrong with my times in the last post...

...I forgot to add in the hot drink I made him, so there's only 1 hour and 7 minutes to go before I hit the 10 hours, which takes it to 7.15pm-ish which is more like the time it usually is.

I've also added, at Steve's request, a litre of white chocolate milk onto our groceries for Steve so Steve's stuff is £1 more expensive but everything else is the same as this morning now.  We've got 26p left in the budget before my stuff starts coming off yet again.  I bet it'll have to start changing before the weekend, although I'd love to be wrong about that too.

To reach 10 hours of care today, I'm...

...aiming for and on track to hit it at 6.51pm, just in time to take my evening pills and water the tomatoes again, then I've just gotta wait for the side effects to kick in et voila.  If I manage it, that'll be over 40 hours of care in 4 days and on track to hit 70 hours by bed-time on Sunday again.  As long as my carer cooks for the rest of the week, we might just about sneak through with 3 hours of care, which is about average for both of us.

My carer has just woken up and gone for a wee, so just over an hour to go and I'll have hit the 10 hours... bet he'll fall asleep while he's in the bathroom though, so I'd better go and keep an eye on him just to be sure he's safe and doesn't drop his phone and smash the screen to smithereens.

Currently at...

...6 hours of care by me today and under 2 hours of care this week by my carer.  Judging by the last couple of hours, it should be a pretty 10 hours of support by me today, which might take the weekly care to over 70 hours, which is double the necessary to be classed as a carer, yet apparently I'm not his carer and I do absolutely nothing to support him, but he does everything for me 🤷

I'm currently in pretty significant pain down my right arm and side of my belly and ribs, but that's pretty normal for me by now.

19th August 2021 lunch photos

Just finished my lunch and taken our plates back out, so wanted to put today's photos up of our lunch:

It was sooo good today... definitely one of my favourite home-cooked meals and I'm so grateful that Steve made it for us today - thank you Steve❗

To give him credit...

...Steve really is cooking our lunch 🍴 after all today 👍, and we really are having Pasta Bake❗  I'm gonna hopefully take a photo of it still in the dish, before he dishes up, then again in its normal position in here, so there will hopefully be two photos of my lunch today.  Got about 20 minutes to go, so I'm gonna publish this then put my laptop on the floor in preparation 🤤.

19 August 2021 breakfast photo

For the first time in 3 bags, I actually got the sweetness hit of papaya this morning!

It's been a few days since we had it and I'd forgotten just how filling it is 😀

Pasta Bake for lunch.  I'll hopefully remember to take a photo of it for you all today 😄

Mornin' again all

I've been up for 2 hours and 20 minutes so far and I've cared for my carer for 1 hour and 15 minutes of that time.  I've run the virus scan and had to reboot my laptop 'cos my Fitbit app wasn't working and watered the tomatoes along with making a "posh" (cafetierre) coffee for both of us.  Time to take my morning pills now I reckon, then make a start on the news for you all.

I've got a photo of my breakfast to share with you all, but I wanna take my pills first, so that I don't forget.

There will, in theory at least, be...

...two food photos 'cos apparently I'm having Granola for breakfast 'cos Steve's lasagne "will fit in the small freezer - it has done before now!" so I hope he's right otherwise it'll be a waste of £3.40.  We're having pazza bake for lunch too, so I'll hopefully remember to take a photo of that too.

It's time for me to head to bed for a sort of early night now though, so I'm shutting down and I'll see you all tomorrow, internet connection permitting.

Nite nite orl.

Grocery breakdown

Just done a bit of editing of Monday's groceries 'cos we've got more Granola coming hopefully this evening and an unopened box of porridge, in addition to the tub that's already open, so we're gonna have Granola and porridge (although not together, obviously 😜) for a few days to clear up even more room for new food, plus all the bread in the freezer that we need to use up before Monday so that we can store Steve's huge 1.4kg family-sized lasagne that he has all to himself, so maybe we should keep having toast until we've got enough room in the freezer for the lasagne?

The current break-down of Monday's groceries looks like this:

My stuff:  £5.35
Steve's stuff:  £17.60
Joint stuff:  £17.79

so, amazingly, the joint stuff is the most expensive so far next week and I've currently got some pop and an individual portion of veggie lasagne on there too - bet it'll change before Sunday evening though 'cos it always does.
