...if I do my laps and exercises after lunch instead of in the morning, I don't use anywhere near as many pace points and can semi-safely stay just about within my budget! If I do the exercising in the morning then I'm usually over before lunchtime, but not if I do them in the afternoon. I had a lazy start to the day used up 4.2 pace points this morning but after making my lunch and doing my laps and exercises, I'm at 14.7 so am still under my daily budget, but would already have been significantly over if I'd done them this morning!
I can do this energy budgeting thing!
