Steve's lunch made, tomatoes watered...

...reading and reviewing going well and I really am gonna have to live on my breakfast this morning for the rest of the day... far from ideal, but needs must.

A couple of meals have been decided for next week - Steve'll have chilli con carne one day and chicken Korma on a different day while I have a small jar of beetroot and a tin of harricot beans if Steve can be bothered to cook them for me.  There are 3 tomato MugShots left which are the only ones that I can have 'cos of my food allergy, but I bet Steve'll have those next week too, so I'll just have to hope that we get enough bread on Monday otherwise I'll be going without lunch again next week, but as long as Steve eats, that's OK right? 😒

Just had the reminder for my lunch-time pill, so I'd better take that now on an empty stomach, same with my evening pills too.

OK, that's me dosed up until this evening now, so I'll carry on reading and reviewing the book.

BBL

Alone. Again.

According to the task list for the housework, today is "sweeping the floors" which I've just done.

Alone.

Again.

I asked Steve to empty the sweeper 'cos it's not picking up so it's full and he nodded his agreement, but you'll have to forgive me for not believing him.

Tomorrow's task is to "tidy the bedroom" which I'll be doing alone and gives Steve ample opportunity to empty out the sweeper while I'm upstairs, but I doubt he'll do it then and I haven't got a clue how to do it.

Saturday is "clean kitchen as a team" which I can pretty much guarantee will be down to just me again, same as every week.  He agreed to help me with each day's housework but he's cleaned the raised toilet seat twice in the 6 weeks since he agreed to the task list, literally bugger all else, yet he claims credit for it every time.

I'll be making lunch today again and giving Steve a MugShot, bread and dairy-free spread because he's too full for curry after he had too much breakfast so I'll have both hands full with his lunch and won't be stable or safe enough on my feet to make myself any lunch, so I'll only have had the granola and juice all day because my carer can't be bothered to care.

I've just had to wake my carer up twice so that he didn't slosh his hot drink (that I made for him instead of the other way around) all over himself and get burnt.  So far today I've cared for my carer for very nearly 4 hours already this morning, which is pretty much triple what he's done to care for me for this entire week so far, yet apparently he's my carer and does everything for me and I do bugger all to support him 🤷

I've finished doing today's news, so it's time to carry on with the reading and reviewing until it's time for me to make my carer's lunch.

Looks like we won't be having curry for lunch after all today

Steve "don't want a big lunch today, so we'll have MugShots instead so that the majority of the curry doesn't go to waste... sowwee!" so it looks like I'll be doing both of our meals again today and Steve has only cooked once this week instead of "every meal, every day" that he proudly tells everyone.  I bet he'll find an excuse not to do the pasta bake tomorrow, the burgers on Saturday and the spaghetti on Sunday too.  I can almost guarantee it.

Morning all

Had a busy morning so far.  I've cared for my carer, made breakfast (granola and juice for a change) and took the bowls back out to the kitchen, gathered up Steve's recycling and put that in the box, watered the tomatoes and taken my pills.  Assuming we can both face it, we'll be having curreeeeeeee for lunch today.

I had to adjust Monday's grocery order last night 'cos Steve wanted some chicken so that he can have the korma sauce, so that's £3.50 I had to take off so that Steve could have the chicken (I'm vegetarian so can't have the chicken and I'm allergic to dairy so can't have the Korma sauce either) so Monday's grocery totals now look like this:

My stuff:  £4.00
Steve's stuff:  £19.00
Joint stuff:  £17.31

so yet again Steve's got the majority of the shop, yet it's not his stuff that comes off when he decides he wants to add something!

I've just remembered to set the daily virus scan running and I've got a photo of my breakfast now too:

Time to get on with the news now I reckon, then I can carry on reading and reviewing yesterday's book.

Wednesday, 1 September 2021

Last two pills of the day have been taken...

...so it'll soon be time for bed.  I'm gonna start shutting down now, but I'll be back again tomorrow.  Nite nite orl.  Sea ewe in the morning.

Currently reading...

...another book lol

It started off pretty boringly - waaay too much back-story over waaaay too many chapters and the early chapters were considerably longer too, but the author is into her stride now and I'm really enjoying it.  It's currently a wobbly 5-stars and I hope they will all stay in place for the rest of the book.

I doubt I'll finish it before I head to bed, so be on the look out for the review on here, my homepage and Amazon tomorrow.

Afternoon pill is now down the hatch and...

...my bum hasn't reacted badly to the chocolate or couple of slices of toast yet, so I'm daring to hope that my body is over the worst of it now.  Neither of us has poo'd for about an hour, so hopefully we're both on the way to being fully recovered now 👍

Just given the tomatoes their second drink of the day, while...

...waiting for my carer's lunch to start finishing.  I've got my me-friendly chocolate to keep me going between trips to the bathroom today... not the healthiest day in the world by any means, but I don't wanna risk too much.

Steve cautiously had a bar of the banana one and he really wasn't sure to begin with and he said there was a strong after-taste too, which he found weird, but that's only 'cos he's never had anything dairy-free before and I found the same to start with, but he enjoyed it when he'd got used to the after-taste.

More expensive than dairy chocolate, but it means that I can treat myself without screwing up my stomach, so I'm all for it!

Backups started, tomatoes watered...

...so time to get started on the second and third sets of news, I've just gotta remember not to save anything until the backups have finished 🙄

Steve's cancelled his medical appointment and took his phone into the bathroom with him, which I've asked him, just for today 'cos we've both got poorly bottoms, not to do... I bet he'll still take it in with him next time though so he can clear up any mess that I make today!

Mornin' all

How are you all doing this morning?  Me an' 'im have got poorly bottoms that we can only put down to yesterday's lunch when Steve used less pasta, so he reckons it's down to that.

I've taken my morning pills and remembered not to open my email 'cos of the weekly virus scan (which has just finished, so time to make a start on the backups nice and early in the day) and got one set of news online, so I'll set the backups going then head to the bathroom again I reckon.  As we're just having toast for lunch, there won't be any photos today, but hopefully our bottoms will have recovered enough by tomorrow to start sharing them with you all again.  Gotta remember to water the tomatoes 3 times today, but I'm gonna start the backups first and Steve has just said to re-do the back of his thigh again too after he's finished in the bathroom.
