Mornin' all

How are you all getting along this too-early morning?

I'm doing OK... gotta remember to phone my MIL and check to see what time Marie's coming to pick me up for my appointment 'cos I thought it was an hour later than it actually is but he got the time right when I asked him yesterday.

I'm charging up my phone, watch and FitBit, but I won't be taking my phone with me unless I need to call a taxi, but hopefully that won't happen so I won't need to take my bag with me.

I've taken one of my pills this morning and I'll take the supplements when I get back so that they don't screw up the test result.

I've already cared for my carer for pretty much 1 hour this morning and it was 11 hours and 50 minutes by the time I was allowed to go to bed last night, so I've already cared for my carer for very nearly 49 hours this week and my carer has achieved a huge 6 hours and 10 minutes so far this week, so he just needs to put in 10 hours of care a day between now and bedtime on Sunday to hit the minimum that he says he does.  I'm letting him sleep more than normal so that he can recover from caring for me for 5 hours on Wednesday - it's really taken it out of him, bless him.  He'll be able to sleep deeply while I'm at my medical appointment though as well as his usual 9-ish hours of sleep that he usually gets during the day too.

I'm not gonna do the news again today, but things should be back to normal again tomorrow for 10 days before my next medical appointment then that's hopefully it for another year.

When Steve wakes up, I'll go and make his breakfast for him.  I'll get my own too if there are enough clean bowls and spoons but if there's only one bowl and spoon then I'll go hungry until lunchtime again.

Steve's made one meal so far this week and I've made 11 of his and he hasn't made a single drink for me yet again... apparently he makes all my meals and drinks for me though <shrug>

The Green Man and Gaia answered yesterday's prayer 'cos it rained again overnight so I won't need to do the watering this morning.

Steve's awake and gone for his poo now "then I'll get washed and get out of your way to make breakfast" so looks like he's assuming that I'll make breakfast every morning now as well as his tea every evening and the majority of lunches too.  I'm giving him the rest of the week to recover then we'll hopefully go back to normal next week with him making more than 2 or 3 meals a week... in reality though, I'm seriously doubting it'll happen like that and I'll end up making the vast majority of meals again even though he claims he makes them all <shrug>

He's gotta phone the electricity bods today too, like he promised that he would yesterday - you'll have to forgive me for doubting that'll happen too.

It's SuperRice (for Steve) and Cous Cous (for me) on the menu again for today, so I'm predicting that I'll be making the lunch again today for the 4th time this week and that after I've stood up to make Steve's rice I won't be able to safely stay on my feet for long enough to make my cous cous, so I'll be going hungry at lunchtime for the 3rd day this week, so I guess I'd best have a bowl of granola for breakfast instead of the smoothie then.

Steve's out of the bathroom now and to give him credit, he's boiling the kettle, so there will hopefully be enough water for me to have a hot bath in a couple of weeks, then the emersion will be off until we get our hairs cut again.

My FitBit has finished charging up now and is back around my ankle, so I'd best make the most of the opportunity of Steve being awake to sort out the forum and run the daily virus scan now I s'pose.

Nite nite orl

My body is pleading with me for a break and after yesterday as well as in preparation for tomorrow, that's what I'm gonna give it tonight.

Nite nite orl.

I've made Steve's tea and...

...taken his plate out for him and got him a bottle of pop, so I'm gonna use the opportunity to take my last pills of the day, half an hour early so that I can hopefully have an early night tonight.  I put in 13½ hours of caring yesterday, which took me over an hour into overtime, plus todays 10 hours (minimum) takes it to over 46 hours of caring already this week and there are still 3 days to go, so it's looking like a pretty easy 80 hour week, potentially even approaching 85 hours, which would be awesome.  I'll be about half an hour or so short tomorrow 'cos of my medical appointment, but yesterday more than makes up for that.

For the last time today...

Today's to-do list reads like this:

  1. wake up (obviously)
  2. set the backups going
  3. do the watering
  4. make breakfast for me an' im
  5. take my morning pills
  6. have a bath
  7. do the washing up - Steve did it
  8. hopefully my backups will have finished so I'll put it away then
  9. relax/recover for a few hours
  10. make lunch
  11. take my lunchtime pill
  12. do the lunchtime watering
  13. relax/recover for a few more hours
  14. make Steve's tea
  15. do the evening watering - the Green Man and Gaia did it for me
  16. head to bed.

The Green Man and Gaia are...

...giving me this evenings watering duty off 'cos it's peeing it down with rain out there, so I won't need to water the plants before tomorrow morning now.  Thank you Green Man and Gaia!  Could you maybe arrange for a short shower after I've woken up and before it gets light out there in the morning too so that I can recover as much as possible from yester before lunchtime tomorrow pretty please?  Thank you so so much.

Just watched...

...the video from yesterday and it was considerably more open that I'd thought!  Steve said that on some of them it was half that again which is scary dairy when you're lugging around so much stuff and in control of something so incredibly heavy!

Prescriptions delivered so...

...I can go back to taking them every day instead of every other day again now.  I've got 'em all for 2 months now so that's even better.  I'm hoping that tomorrows blood test (and hopefully BP test if they can squeeze it in) will show what the pharmacist/GP needs to know so that I can cancel the appointment 10 days later and save the slot for another patient who needs it rather than a test that takes a couple of minutes blocking up a 10 minute slot.  Steve said that the receptionist put a note on the appointment for the phlebotomist (or however it's spelt) and my GP surgery are usually fantastic either way, I just wanna save a slot for someone else if I can is all <shrug>

Today's (1st September 2022) lunch photo

Just a very quick and simple chunky soup for lunch today which has put me 35 calories over budget, so that's still a green day and any other calories this afternoon will send me comfortably into the red so that I can hopefully put on more weight ready for Monday's weigh-in.  I'm still within the healthy weight range for my height, but only just, so I wanna put on about another kilo so that I can safely have days like yesterday without going underweight again.

Here's today's lunch photo:

I was approved to read a children's book this morning, so that's what I've been doing this morning and what I'm gonna go back to after I've put my lunch photo up on this blog and Instagram.  I'm definitely doing a lot better since this morning's bath - not fully recovered by any means, but a lot closer than I was before I had it.  Hopefully I'll have recovered enough to be able to safely go to my medical appointment before they close for lunch tomorrow, which'll give me an extra few hours rather than it being first thing in the morning.

Gonna resize the photo, put it up and then keep reading the book while Steve spends the afternoon doing what he did for the majority of the morning - sleeping.

I was wrong in my previous blog post too 'cos I said that I wouldn't be having a drinking choccie this morning but I've just made myself one so I was wrong and I'm sorry for my mistake.

After I've slurped my way through the drinking choccie, I'll go and do the washing up then that's me glued to the sofa until lunchtime... other than the two sets of watering, making lunch for both of us and Steve's tea, I'm not planning to move far from the sofa for the rest of the day now.
