I know you may not think that it's much to be proud of, but I'm almost in delighted tears of pride with myself right now, so please humour me and encourage the tiny bit of confidence I'm starting to gain? Please?
Lunch today was the same as yesterday, but this time I did it pretty much from the start with just a couple of minor safety concerns, too many nerves and loads of questions.
This is the first meal I've ever willingly cooked pretty much totally alone and willingly. I was a bag of nerves, but I didn't fall over or set the house on fire or risk giving myself food poisoning which is such a major achievement for me. I'll never be a confident cook, but now that I'm starting to get used to cooking pasta and sauce, I'm starting to gain just a tiny smidgen of hope that I can cook pasta and sauce alone when I've got my confidence up enough, like I have with the oven.
I'm gonna stick to doing just pasta and sauce for a while, before I risk moving on to something more adventurous... I'm taking things veeeery slowly so that I don't risk totally destroying the tiny amount of confidence I'm starting to gain like I did with my disasterous first attempt at the pizza.
