Just had another fantastic carer come in to make my lunch entirely by herself... if she was less shy then she'd easily be challenging Bea for the top carer position lol
Since we lost Steve, my portion sizes are a lot more sensible now 'cos I had 3 potato waffles today and Virginia (today's lunchtime carer) used just a smidgen of oil on the tray which really seemed to help too!
When I said that the foil was meaty and I was vegetarian, she immediately took the foil off, scrubbed the tray and added a new layer of foil, so I've got a baking tray that I can use as well as a pizza tray too, which really opens up my cooking options on the days the carers don't come for whatever reason! There's still one meaty foil and tray, but I only need one now that it's just me and there not being any meat or fish left in the house.
I'm so appreciative of Virginia cooking my entire lunch today 'cos it meant that I could sit down and stay safe, rather than be on my feet for half an hour then spending the rest of the day and evening being wobbly and unsafe.
Thank you so much, Virginia!
Here's today's lunch photo:
