...I last went into the red on my electricity smart meter, but I was expecting it today 'cos I've used the hob, the emersion heater and the washing machine today as well as my laptop and charging up my mobile phone while I was in the bath and I'm only just into the red and I've been under budget for the rest of the week, so I'm not gonna feel bad about this one day's minor blip.
I've just checked and I've used up less than half of my weekly budget, including the daily standing charge so one red day ain't gonna send me over my weekly budget by quite some distance.
I'll be using the bare minimum tomorrow too, so that'll offset today too.
I don't know what I'd do without my smart metre now. There will hopefully only be one more £312 a month bill then it'll be using the smart readings after that, which'll be less than half and I don't feel like I'm going without either... I'm more aware of what I'm using, yes, but I don't stop myself from boiling the kettle or charging up my phone or using my laptop or anything like that like I thought I would be when I very first got the meter.
Getting the smart meter fitted was one of the most nerve-wracking but best decisions I've ever made totally alone.
