Book Review: "Who's Your Daddy?" by Jacqueline Francis

⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know that I start them all off by saying that each book starts off with the full 5 stars and that I'm always hopeful that they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover.  You'll also know that I don't shy away from removing stars but that I always give my reasons for doing so  within the review.

This is the last book in a 5 book series and I haven't read the other 4 books, so I hope that the "can be read as a standalone" claim holds true.

Let's get on with the reading and reviewing shall we?

I'm hoping I'll be able to totally zone out with this book 'cos the next two weeks could be a disaster waiting to happen in my personal life for a couple of reasons, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get into a totally fictional world to help me to cope with my personal reality that's about to start happening... will I be able to escape from reality and not worry about it for a while? I really hope so!

My Kindle is telling me that it's got a "typical reading time" of 6 hours and 54 minutes, so I'm hoping it'll see me through the stress of the first part of my anxiety tomorrow.

There's a hunky man on the front cover of this book... will I be swooning throughout or is it getting my hopes up too soon?

Oooh, the magic sentence is kinda right there at the front of the book so I won't be knocking off any stars for copyright or trademark infringement in this book which is a huuuge relief!

I'm already knocking a star off 'cos the text in the image is in a font that's unreadable as it's so small and fancy, so we're already down to four stars and I've only just started reading!

Oooh!  That first chapter was different to how they are usually handled!  I got that Dyl was a heterosexual man but I origially thought that he was living with a female friend who was a lesbian, then I thought that they were just male/female friends, then male/female friends with benefits, then Dyl was heterosexual and his room-mate was a male who was gay and secretly lusting after Dyl,  but it wasn't until the end of the chapter that I think I settled on their relationship status... but I'm prepared to be wrong!  lol

Ooooh!  Chapter 2 came out of nowhere too!  Will the book be able to keep my interest like this tomorrow too?

Chapter 3 was incredible!  Not good for young eyes though  ;-)

I'm up to chapter 7 now and it's waaay past my bed-time, but this book is soo worth it!!

Up to chapter 11 now and I'm yet to be disappointed!

Chapter 16 was the big reveal and the end of the chapter has made my heart glow with soppiness.

Blimey!  Bomb-shell-arama!  I've got to read chapter 18 before I go to bed otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight!

I've read up to chapter 20 and my heart is in shreds, so I'll be making my pillow wet with tears tonight!

Wowsers!  I'm glad I didn't read those two chapters last night or I wouldn't have slept a wink!

Chapter 23 was a real eye-opener!  It sounds like Lia has made another bad choice and with only 22% to go, I'm wondering what the author has got up their sleeve to finish this book off with!

Chapter 26 has got me running through all kinds of feelings and I really don't know how this book is gonna end any more lol

Wow.  What an incredible end to a fantastic book.  A must-read for anyone who need to escape reality for a while!
