My carer was on her phone for the entire 20 minutes again this morning so there was nothing to add to the total, but my lunchtime carer cooked lunch in the time it took me to put my laptop on the floor and go for a wee, so my lunch was still room temperature today, but at least I got those 6 minutes of care from her, which takes the weekly total of actual care received up to 47 minutes out of the 5 hours that I'll be paying for, so that ain't too bad going at all, compared to most weeks and definitely helped along by Monday's bed changing for 10 of those minutes!
Will I get to an hour of care by the time my morning carer leaves on Sunday? I hope so, but I very much doubt it'll happen as that's still 13 minutes in 2 days and only one lunch, so lets do the maths - 7 minutes for tomorrow's lunch (if I'm lucky) leaves 3 minutes each morning which is doubtful as the most that the morning carers do is flick the switch on the kettle and occasionally pull the back down/do up my bra which takes less than a minute combined but lets give them credit where it's not due and, for the sake of easier maths for me, let's say I receive an hour of care out of the 6½ hours of weekly care that I pay for - that's 5½ hours of care that I pay for but don't receive each week which I know doesn't sound like much, but it's 11 hours a fortnight and 22 hours a month that I pay for but don't receive.
Never mind though, eh?
