Product Tests: Fairy Max Power washing up liquids

Savvy Circle product test of Fairy Max Power antibacterial and 4 x less scrubbing

⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

My very first thought was that the protection within the box was awful, very heavy and the products were sliding around the whole time which made the box incredibly unsteady.

When I opened the box, there was just a single pack of air pockets above the bottles... not a good start, @supersavvymeofficial.  I'm not gonna mark the product down before I've even tried it though.  Tomorrow will be its first challenge - welded on cereal in two bowls that have been left to solidify to them for several hours.

The vouchers for 50% off any purchase of #FairyMaxPower are much appreciated and I'm gonna pass them on to my mum and mum-in-law to see what they think of the products too.

This is my very first test as a member of the #savvycircle so I'm hoping that this blatent but totally honest #ad is a promising first test that I can #TurnToTheMax.

The products seem to be full size products which is awesome... I'm thinking I'll use the antibacterial one on my smoothie bottle because I only usually swill it out with water.

We're having chilli for lunch on Friday and I'll probably leave the washing up until Friday evening at the very earliest, so we'll see how it handles welded/burnt on chilli sauce too as well as the rice and sauce on the plates... has it met its match with us or will it be a joy to be able to wash all the ground on sauce without scrubbing it to within an inch of its life like I usually do?

Can Fairy handle the worst washing up conditions that I can throw at it? I certainly hope so!

It's the next day and I've just done the washing up - it was good and got the stains out of the mugs and dried on cereal out of the bowls and even managed to make my usually difficult to get clean glass completely clear for the first time since I've started having regular drinks out of it.  It's left my hands feeling very dry and like they could do with a squirt of moisturiser now though, which our usual supermarket own brand doesn't cause, so the antibacterial one is currently 4 stars.  We're having fried eggs tomorrow, so I'll see what it's like with cooled oil in a frying pan.

The scrubbing one has got its work cut out on Friday and Saturday though and I can't wait to see how it deals with the grime that the supermarket own brand isn't powerful enough to deal with.  Assuming it works and I can find it online, it'll be a regular purchase if it does what I'm hoping for though!

Overall, 4 stars right now... can the scrubbing one return the lost star?  We'll find out on Friday and Saturday  ;-)

I've just made my hubby's lunch for him (tinned vegetable chilli) and some of the chilli welded itself to the bottom of the pan because I took my eye off it and didn't stir it soon enough.  I want the chilli to solidify a bit, like it normally does, before I wash the pan, silicon ladle, lipped metallic plate and spoon up.  The bottle says that it's "4 X less scrubbing" so in theory I'll just be able to wipe around it and it'll all come off.  Tomorrow's baking trays are gonna be the real test for it though, 'cos it's already got ground in grease that refuses to come off, no matter how much I scrub or what I use!  I'm guessing that I'll be doing at least a bit of scrubbing, but hopefully not too much and hopefully (as long as the bottle's claim can be believed) they will be considerably cleaner and dark grey (the colour they should be) instead of black and slimey from all the burnt-on grease and grime that I haven't been able to get rid of for months on end.

Just finished the washing up and the results were better than our usual washing up liquid, it was nowhere near the 4 times less scrubbing it claimed... I'd say maybe half as much scrubbing, but no more than that 'cos I still had to put a fair amount of pressure on each of the stubborn bits, but not as much as with our usual one.  We'll get it again as long as it does better than our usual washing up liquid, but it won't be a regular buy unfortunately.

I managed to get a decent sinkful of bubbles this time, but I had to use a good couple of centimetres worth of it to be able to achieve it.

It's really drying out my normally "normal" type skin a lot too, so I'm gonna have to use my hubby's moisturiser again this afternoon unfortunately.

Right now it's still 4 stars, but I'm feeling let down by its claims on the bottle and I'm not so confident about it being able to get through the grease and grime tomorrow unfortunately.

It's tomorrow now and I've just done the last test for the two products.  The "4 x less scrubbing" is total codswollop 'cos it took me twice as long to achieve half as much as I usually do with four times the effort.  If I'd left the trays soaking with just the washing up liquid and a tiny amount of water overnight, it might have achieved it then, but so could our usual washing up liquid too.

It got a tiny amount of extra grease off the trays, but you have to look really hard to see it.

It's made my hands really dry again and at the moment it's getting 3 stars because of the misleading information on the bottle.

If they had been brand new pans and been washed up as soon as they had cooled down then I might have marked them differently, but I'm not gonna go out and get new cooking trays every time I get a new bottle and I'm certainly not going to wash the pans up as soon as they have cooled down either.
