...got a new pet this morning too.
A white cat was at the door when my carers arrived and they were encouraging it to come into the house and I'm like "it's not my cat" and they were like "she come in" and I'm there going "no, it can't come in, it's not my cat". By this point the cat had taken a cautious step closer to the door and I'm trying to close the door so that it didn't come in and make itself at home and the carer is standing there encouraging it to come in while blocking the doorway.
Eventually I got the carer to understand that I don't have any pets any more and she wandered into the kitchen to find out what happened to support me in the mornings, which turned out to be pretty much nothing.
