The bathroom quoters

The second of the two bathroom quoters has just gone and he's a lot friendlier and more supportive in person than over email.

He took lots of measurements and photos and gave me a very rough on-the-spot quote for the entire bathroom which is about what I was expecting, but he advised leaving the bathroom sink off until the entire bathroom was replaced which is far from ideal, but I can see his point.

The kitchen tap and shower replacement can be done "within weeks" but the whole bathroom replacement would have to wait until the start of next year, which I was expecting too 'cos it's such a big job.

He said that there was some kind of plastic thing that came in one piece and would be put over the entire wet area walls to stop the need to replace tiles which would be good.

He would take out the extractor fan and heater that have never worked and replace them with a heated towel rail which one of the assessors that have come out mentioned too, so that's reassuring.

Basically, he's not out to con me but he's not my first choice either (that belongs to Thursday's quoter so far).  I wanna get my BILs mate to come out and give me a quote and get the quote from my first choice too before I make the final decision, but that's another big thing I can cross off my to-do list now, thankfully.

Time for a very late breakfast methinks.
