Today's lunch photo

Our stomach's (as in the internal organs) have definitely shrunk since we've been eating home-cooked food more regularly than take-aways (not to mention cheaper) 'cos we've both struggled with half the amount of curry, Quorn pieces and rice that we used to easily eat a year or 18 months ago!


Steve had less than half of what he had last time and still left more than half of it and I'm totally stuffed again, so I've suggested using a third of the curry jar and half as much rice and Quorn pieces next time to see if that's a better portion size for us both.  We've just gotta be prepared to experiment with how much we use until we find what is right for us.  We haven't had curry for at least a year so we didn't realise just how much less we were eating now is all.  We know how much pasta to use for Pasta Bake and how many eggs to use for omelettes and scrambled eggs and stuff because we've been able to experiment until we found the right amount for us, but because it's been so long since our last curry we used the same portion sizes as last time and we know now that that's waaay too much and we need to reduce it even more next time.  It'll mean we have to have curries more often though, to find the right amounts for us though, so I ain't complaining  😉😏

It's unlikely that there will be a photo of tomorrow's lunch 'cos it'll be MugShots 'cos of Steve's regular medical appointment and my weekly virus scan and backups, but hopefully things will be back to normal again on Thursday, when we have our burgers.


This blog post is waaaay too long already, so I'm gonna publish it now and try and recover from such a big and yummy lunch.
