...38 minutes away from having cared for Steve for 10 hours today, so it's looking like it'll just about be a 14 hour day of care for my carer today, which will bring the weekly total, assuming it is a 14 hour day, to almost 82 hours, which ain't bad considering there have been a couple of days of under 10 hours of care this week.
Steve's weekly total is very likely to only be 1 hour 42 minutes.
15 minutes to go to reach 10 hours now and Steve's got his legs up, so I've gotta make sure he doesn't fall asleep with his hot drink in his hands and spill it all down him and possibly get scalded or burnt or something. He's had a busy day of just sitting around and talking (and staying awake for a rare change) for 5 hours, so has missed out on all that sleep he usually has during the day, so I'm expecting him to drop off to sleep at any time now.
14 minutes 'cos I've just had to encourage him to adjust his mug so that he didn't spill his drink. I'm predicting that I'll hit the 10 hour sweet spot before 5pm today. Maybe I won't hit 14 hours after all 'cos that'd mean constant care until 9pm and we will both definitely need a wee before then, but I'm hoping for maybe 14 hours (and 10 minutes lol) to take it up to an 82 hour week which is 2½ times the minimum required to be recognised as a carer but my carer can't even make it to ⅒ of the minimum each week... apparently he's the carer between us and is recognised and paid as much too... it's why he's been able to get his course of Covid jabs and flu jabs each year instead of having to wait for his age group to be called up for them a couple of months later than he has been since they started happening. It's why he's entitled to a flu jab too - if he wasn't registered as the carer to someone who is vulnerable (ie me) then he wouldn't get the flu jab at all and would have had to wait for 6-8 weeks longer than he has for his covid jabs
He's still awake (amazingly) so I'm gonna publish this post before it gets too long and boring for you all.
BBL.
