...the plants and seedlings their final drink of the day and there are a couple of potential flowers that may or may not appear tomorrow. Each pot gobbled up the water far more rapidly than they did at lunchtime so maybe there's some sort of protective layer just under the surface to protect the roots from the overwhelming heat/sun or summat?
