That's Steve's lunch made and...

...my lunch will be water because Steve finished off the loaf of bread for his tea last night and didn't take a new one out of the freezer and neither did I 'cos my carer had promised that we were having fried eggs and chips and I knew we were going to have granola for breakfast, so didn't think I'd need to.

My total calorie count for today is gonna be 586 calories because of having to have water and I bet Steve'll want an ice cream and biscuits for pudding so that's something else I can't eat today, so I bet I'll have lost weight when I weigh myself tomorrow, but that's just the way things are - my needs always come last and my carer's are always first.

Care totals for just this morning now look like this:

Steve's care of me:  3 minutes (he opened a couple of plastic bin bags for me)
My care of Steve:  4 hours 37 minutes

I very much doubt I'll be getting any care this afternoon 'cos he'll be asleep again, but I'm guessing it'll be at least 5 or 6 hours of me caring for him but apparently I don't do anything to support him 😞 🤷  Only got 3½ hours to go and I'll have cared for him for 75 hours this week but I reckon it'll be over that pretty significantly by the time I head to bed.  Gotta remember to sort out next weeks spreadsheets for both of us too.

Just had to take something joint off so that I could add more ice creams for Steve, so the grocery totals now look like this:

My stuff:  £0.00
Steve's stuff:  £15.70
Joint stuff:  £25.03

So the joint stuff is almost a tenner more expensive than Steve's stuff which is how it should be.  Steve said he thought that the reason I hadn't been adding stuff for myself was 'cos I "had plenty of pop out there" and couldn't believe it when I told him that I'd taken it off for the last 3 weeks (including tomorrow's) because I couldn't afford it.  The shopping comes to over £44 a week and the weekly spend has been £45 for over a year, so I don't know where he suddenly thinks I've magicked more money out of thin air from!  If he was willing to take his ice cream, doughnuts and scotch eggs off each weeks shop then there would be enough for me to get a few bottles of pop for myself, but he always wants them so I go without each week.

I'm hoping I'll be able to get myself a few bottles of pop next week though, 'cos we won't need the bin bags which are £3.50 so I'll be able to use that money for my pop for the first time this month... unless Steve decides that he wants something for himself again instead of course.

As predicted, Steve's digging into the the biccies and seems to be expecting me to get his ice cream out of the freezer, so my calorie count for the day really will be under 600 like I predicted up there 🠅🠅 so I really will be losing weight when I weigh myself tomorrow, which won't impress the nurse at all, but needs must again this week.  Hopefully I'll be able to have more calories at lunchtime next week 'cos of clearing out the cupboard and coming up with the menu to use up the majority of it.

Might be able to get on with the reading this afternoon that I've been trying to do since first thing!
